Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless Introduce

For vehicle owners across Pennsylvania, particularly in the dynamic urban landscape of Pittsburgh, maintaining a clean car is a frequent consideration. From battling winter road salt to everyday dust and grime, vehicles in the Keystone State require regular care to keep them looking their best. While there are many car wash options available, Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless stands out by specializing in a particular type of wash that many drivers prefer for its gentle yet effective cleaning method: the touchless automatic car wash.

Located in the bustling Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh, this establishment offers a convenient solution for those seeking a quick and efficient way to keep their cars sparkling. This article will provide a comprehensive and factual overview of Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless, detailing its location, the services it provides, its unique features, and how it caters to the needs of local Pennsylvanians looking for a reliable car cleaning experience.

Location and Accessibility

Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless is strategically located at 4052 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224, USA. Liberty Avenue is a major artery running through Pittsburgh's vibrant neighborhoods, including Bloomfield, known for its strong community feel, diverse businesses, and accessibility to other parts of the city. This prime location ensures that the car wash is easily reachable for residents of Bloomfield, as well as those in neighboring areas like Lawrenceville, Shadyside, and Oakland.

The accessibility is further enhanced by its 24/7 operation for its touchless bays, meaning you can get a wash at any hour, day or night. This is particularly convenient for those with unconventional work schedules or those who prefer to avoid peak hours. While customer experiences can vary, the central location on a main road simplifies the process of pulling in, getting your wash, and getting back on the road.

Services Offered

Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless focuses on providing a streamlined and efficient car cleaning experience, primarily through its automated touchless system. The services offered include:

  • Touchless Automatic Car Wash: This is the core service. A touchless car wash uses high-pressure water jets and specialized cleaning agents to clean the vehicle without any physical contact from brushes or cloths. This method is often preferred for minimizing the risk of scratches or swirl marks on a vehicle's paintwork. Dirks offers various wash packages, including:
    • Bronze Wash: $10 single wash
    • Silver Wash: $15 single wash
    • Gold Wash: $18 single wash (A customer review mentions paying $20 for this, so pricing may vary slightly or have recently changed. Official website lists $18.)
    • Platinum Wash: $20 single wash
  • Self-Service Vacuum: Alongside the automatic wash bays, Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless provides self-service vacuum stations. These allow customers to thoroughly clean the interior of their vehicles after an exterior wash.
  • Single Washes: Customers have the option to purchase individual washes based on their preferred package level.
  • Unlimited Wash Pass (Monthly Membership): For frequent users, Dirks Car Wash offers various monthly membership plans, allowing for unlimited washes (up to 15 per month per vehicle for some plans) at a single low monthly price. These passes are identified by license plate recognition.

It is important to note that while some Dirks Car Wash locations may offer soft-cloth or express washes, the Bloomfield location specifically advertises itself as "Touchless."

Features / Highlights

Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless has several distinguishing features, though some customer experiences highlight areas for potential improvement:

  • 24/7 Availability: A significant highlight is that the touchless bays are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This round-the-clock access provides unmatched flexibility for customers to wash their cars at their convenience, regardless of their schedule.
  • Touchless Technology: The primary feature is the use of touchless automatic washing. This method is beneficial for:
    • Paint Protection: Reduces the risk of scratches, swirl marks, or damage to paintwork that can sometimes occur with friction-based washes.
    • Safety for Accessories: Ideal for vehicles with external accessories like spoilers, antennas, or bike racks that might be damaged by physical equipment in traditional washes.
    • Speed and Convenience: Automated processes ensure a fast and hassle-free experience.
  • Self-Service Vacuums: The availability of on-site vacuums provides a complete car cleaning solution for both exterior and interior.
  • Monthly Wash Passes: The various membership options, starting from $20 a month for unlimited washes, offer significant savings for frequent users, making it a cost-effective choice over time.
  • Multi-Location Pass Usage: A Dirks Wash Pass purchased at Bloomfield is often valid at other Dirks Car Wash locations in Pittsburgh (e.g., Lawrenceville, Greentree, Southside), offering added flexibility for members.
  • Customer Feedback Points: It's important to acknowledge customer reviews indicating variable cleaning quality, particularly on rear bumpers/hatches, and a perception that the wash quality has declined over time ("shadow of its former self"). Some customers also reported issues with specific bays performing better than others (e.g., "The right side bay works way better than the left side") and concerns about perceived value for money on single washes. One reviewer explicitly stated that the wax portion of their "Gold" package was skipped. This feedback suggests that while the touchless system offers benefits, consistency in cleaning performance and ensuring all paid-for services are delivered are areas where customers have noted shortcomings.
Promotions or Special Offers

Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless primarily promotes its value through its monthly Wash Pass options:

  • Dirks Wash Pass (Monthly Unlimited Washes): This is the most significant promotion. Various tiers are available:
    • Bronze Pass: $20 a month for unlimited high-pressure washes (Value up to $270 a month, based on 15 washes).
    • Silver Pass: $30 a month for unlimited silver washes (Value up to $270 a month, based on 15 washes).
    • Gold Pass: $39 a month for unlimited gold washes (Value up to $270 a month, based on 15 washes).
    • Platinum Pass: $44 a month for unlimited platinum washes.
These passes are valid at Bloomfield and often other Dirks locations, offering considerable savings for regular car washing. The website indicates "up to 15 monthly washes per one vehicle."
  • Seasonal Promotions: While not explicitly listed, car washes often run seasonal specials (e.g., winter salt removal deals, spring cleaning promotions). Checking their website or social media channels, or signing up for email notifications, would be the best way to stay informed about any such offers.

The monthly membership is clearly positioned as the best value for frequent washes, significantly reducing the per-wash cost compared to single wash purchases.

Dirks Car Wash Bloomfield Touchless Customer Reviews

Usually go to the one down in Lawrenceville, but really wanted to get a wash . Paid $20 for a good one and for me that’s very rare . Came home few blocks away , started to wipe it down. it doesn’t even look like it was washed . Waste of money.

Way too expensive for a five minute wash. I paid for the gold package and it skipped the wax portion of the job, which is a scam. Mediocre cleaning job, especially on the rear bumper and hatch of my car, although I’ve definitely had worse. The right side bay works way better than the left side. The sad thing is that I used to swear by this wash in 2015 and it did a great job on my station wagon, but now this wash is a shadow of its former self- more money for less clean.

Only come to this wash if you're expecting mediocre results and do yourself a favor and to not waste your money on anything but the basic wash. I am 100% convinced the higher tiers, despite costing up to a little over triple the base price, are absolutely no different. My wheels aren't clean at all, as pictured after. Watching the machine work and inspecting afterwards I have no reason to believe there was any undercarriage cleaning whatsoever. With both of those in mind I very highly doubt the other advertised up charges are included either; there certainly wasn't any indication during the wash that I could see. And besides, when the wash itself is spotty, leaving behind dirt, water marks, half rinsed suds etc, why on earth pay $20 in the first place. I only gave 2 stars and will only continue to go on very rare occasions where my car is in desperate need of a wash simply because it's on my commute and I do prefer touchless, but never ever paying for the more expensive washes again.

Im sitting in the parking lot right now looking for a different car wash. After spending $18 on their premium wash, I pulled over to the vacuum and there is still streaks of dirt all over the car. The least they can do is upgrade the vacuum. Extremely disappointing for the price. Too bad they got rid of the self service wash further down liberty.

I do not normally write reviews, however, I have had two terrible experiences with this car wash. I am an unlimited car wash member. After the first incident I was promised to be credited for a wash due to the machine malfunctioning and did not perform the entire wash. However, I never received the credit after reaching out to the owner multiple times. After my experience yesterday, I decided to post my review. I reached out to the owner several times and sent multiple text messages with no response. I was at the Lawrenceville touchless car wash yesterday. The customer in front of me was attempting to drive an 8’ foot truck into the wash that only has 7’ foot clearance. During his wash, there were several metal pieces that flew out of the back of his truck and didn’t allow me to enter the wash. I went into the wash from the opposite end to remove them so they didn’t damage my car (see photo below). I also left the pieces of metal on the dumpster so that it did not cause damage to anyone else’s car. By the time I was able to enter the wash, the door had closed and deducted one of my car wash credits. In order to re-enter, I had to scan my phone and used another credit. Still no response from the owner.
