Big Ed's Car Wash

The car wash cracked my sunroof glass. I filed a report with the staff while on-site and was told I would receive a call back after they reviewed the cameras. I sent a follow-up email the next day. As of two days later i did not receive the promised call, i called Big Ed's Car Wash and was again told they would call me back. This time i did get call back within minutes only to be told that there was no way that the damage could be proved as being caused by their facility and that they categorically would not cover the damage. This was very disappointing as we had used Big Ed's Car in the past/had recommended to others but unfortunately will have to advise friends and family to avoid in the future

I have visited this car wash multiple times but have never been completely satisfied with their work. Despite paying $30, I always leave with something missing: tire shine, clean windows, and foam spots everywhere. I end up having to grab a cloth and help them clean to get decent results. They didn't vacuum the left-side back seats, and another worker turned the wipers on for no reason when getting into the car to pull it forward. All four doors and the whole trunk were foamy. Additionally, nobody cleaned the windshield properly, and the front dashboard cluster screen had fingerprints all over and was not wiped down. The car wash's tunnel was not working properly, and rinsing was a big issue. It was a disaster as a result. I won't be coming back.

I drive over 20 minutes because they usually do a good job. I wanted the sapphire wash, since my truck was absolutely filthy after being used all winter, and I wanted to give it a nice clean. The one employee looked in my truck and said they were “too busy” and downgraded my wash to a gold. Then, I asked the cashier and she told me I should wash it a couple more times and it’ll be good. Thanks. I’ll spend $180 instead of $125. When are you not busy? Busy is good. It means you do good work, and I’ll wait all day for a good wash. Don’t offer a package you can’t deliver.

The vacuum service was fine but the wash was another story. The short of it is that they didn't do a good job rinsing the soap off and drying the car after the wash so when I got home the doors were covered in soap residue that hadn't been rinsed and dried from around the mirrors. The edge of the hood and several other areas had the same problem with soap residue drops all along the edge. Now I have to wash the car by hand to get the mess their wash left behind off the car.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. $40 for lackluster service at best. No interior cleaning/ wipe down, (just hand vacuum) I’ve been to several car wash establishments in NY and NJ and have had excellent service for the value. There were fingerprints left on the exterior from those who were supposed to dry the vehicles exterior off. We spoke to the employee about how there was still grease stains in the front drivers side wheel, and side panel, and instead of coming up with a solution, they tried upselling us to get wax. We legit just wiped down the sides and front tire with wipes ourselves. The bumper area was left dirty despite being put through the car wash. In conclusion I would not recommend this place. I would prefer going through 2 bridges to go somewhere in Queens, or LI that will actually do very good work.
