Your Mobile Mechanic Introduce

Your Mobile Mechanic, reportedly operating from 123 Main St, Freeport, ME 04032, USA, and reachable at (207) 504-2954 or +1 207-504-2954, presents itself as an "Auto Repair Station" offering mobile automotive services. The concept of a mobile mechanic aims to provide convenience by bringing vehicle repair and maintenance directly to the customer's location.

Environment and Service Delivery

As a mobile mechanic service, the "environment" for repairs is primarily the customer's location, whether it be their home, workplace, or roadside. This model is designed to offer flexibility and eliminate the need for customers to transport their vehicles to a traditional garage. Customers would typically interact with the mechanic, identified as Brandon in the provided reviews, directly at their chosen site. The expectation of such a service is that the mechanic arrives with the necessary tools and expertise to perform diagnostics and repairs efficiently on-site.

Services Reportedly Offered and Customer Experiences

Based on the customer reviews, Your Mobile Mechanic, through the individual identified as Brandon, has reportedly attempted to provide certain automotive services. However, the accounts raise significant concerns about the quality and thoroughness of these services.

  • Brake Checks/Replacement: One customer explicitly states that Brandon was called to check squealing brakes on a motor home. The customer alleges that Brandon "didn’t jack it up or ask me to lift it so he could remove the wheels or even get a decent look at them." Instead, he "just crawled under at my insistence and took a picture and said that they (he only looked at one) were fine but he’d replace the pads if I wanted him to." This suggests a lack of proper diagnostic procedure for brake systems.
  • Oil Changes: A review details an oil change service where Brandon reportedly "drained a little bit of oil into the receptacle, climbed out and proclaimed I had been lucky driving from Arizona because there wasn’t any oil in the engine." The customer further claims that Brandon "borrowed a funnel from me and put the recommended 8 quarts of oil into the filler spilling it all over everything." Post-service, the oil gauge was high, and the customer's son had to drain "about 5 quarts of oil," indicating severe overfilling that "could have caused some severe engine problems." The reuse of old parts is also alleged by another customer.
  • Battery Parasitic Draw Diagnosis: While not directly mentioned for this specific service, the broader context of a mobile mechanic service would typically include diagnostic work for electrical issues, including battery problems. However, the provided reviews do not offer specific details on this from this service.

The reviews also mention a name change from "The BRAKE Guy" to "Your Mobile Mechanic," implying an attempt to distance the business from negative feedback associated with its previous name.

Key Concerns and Allegations from Customer Feedback

The provided customer reviews highlight several significant issues and raise serious allegations regarding Your Mobile Mechanic's operations and the individual performing the services:

  • Lack of Mechanical Knowledge and Competence: Customers express strong doubts about Brandon's understanding of basic automotive mechanics, particularly concerning brakes and engine oil levels. Allegations like not properly inspecting brakes or grossly overfilling engine oil suggest a profound lack of professional competence.
  • Fraudulent Practices: Both reviews explicitly use the term "fraud" to describe their experiences. Accusations include misrepresenting service quality, potentially causing vehicle damage due to negligence (e.g., severe oil overfill), and performing inadequate diagnostics.
  • Questionable Payment Practices: One customer states they "way overpaid him just to get him gone with cash because he doesn’t have a bank account!!!??" This raises concerns about transparency and legitimacy of financial transactions.
  • Poor Workmanship and Ethical Lapses: Allegations of reusing old parts and the general lack of thoroughness in performing services like brake checks indicate questionable ethical standards and poor workmanship.
  • Deceptive Business Practices: The reported name change from "The BRAKE Guy" to "Your Mobile Mechanic" after negative feedback suggests an attempt to avoid accountability and potentially mislead future customers.
  • Customer Dissatisfaction and Warning: Both reviews conclude with strong warnings to other potential customers, urging them to "BEWARE" and advising against using this service, instead recommending a "real mechanic shop."
Promotional Information (Based on Customer Perception)

Based on the provided customer reviews, there is no positive promotional information to convey regarding Your Mobile Mechanic. Instead, the feedback serves as a cautionary tale for local users. The repeated warnings and allegations of fraud and incompetence from multiple customers strongly advise against utilizing the services of this particular mobile mechanic. The convenience offered by a mobile service, as one reviewer aptly put it, "convenience isn't always convenient," especially when it comes at the cost of vehicle integrity and financial loss. Potential customers are explicitly encouraged to seek established, reputable auto repair stations with verifiable positive track records.

BEWARE OF THIS FRAUD!!. Brandon came specifically to check the brakes on my motor home that have been squealing for three thousand miles. He didn’t jack it up or ask me to lift it so he could remove the wheels or even get a decent look at them. He just crawled under at my insistence and took a picture and said that they (he only looked at one) were fine but he’d replace the pads if I wanted him to. ??!!?? As for changing my oil he climbed under the RV and drained a little bit of oil into the receptacle, climbed out and proclaimed I had been lucky driving from Arizona because there wasn’t any oil in the engine. Then he borrowed a funnel from me and put the recommended 8 quarts of oil into the filler spilling it all over everything. Then he replaced the filter. At my insistence I started the engine a couple of times to run it through and he checked the dipstick saying all is well. I way overpaid him just to get him gone with cash because he doesn’t have a bank account!!!?? Not feeling good about this whole experience. Later I started the engine with my son present. Oil gauge was high. Checked the dipstick which showed too much oil. My son drained about 5 quarts of oil and it is still a little high but safe. This act of Brandon’s could have caused some severe engine problems. I really don’t think he has any knowledge about brakes or anything mechanical regarding vehicles. BEWARE!! The man is a fraud!!

This is 100 percent an honest review and I pray that everyone takes the time to read these review unfortunately I did and and i still went and callee him,but I try to give someone the benefit of the doubt sort of thing, like a second chance to take those bad reviews/ star point rating and make me question, why they got that review,it must have been a mistake or maybe a bad day,but this 1 star is exactly what brandon Deserves and Everyone needs to know exactly what they are walking into before calling this person he reminds me of this! "convenience isn't always convenient." And always remember this if you look up The BRAKE Guy oh,but right after sending him a message calling him out,he changed the Name to Your Mobile Mechanic in the dictionary underneath would be; "Convenience will cost you ALOT money FOR NOTHING!"Get ahold of me and I will give you my whole HONEST experience with him(I even tried to be as professional and grown as possible for him to make it right, but i guess money is way better than your word, your name, the best person of yourself)for things we agreed on and he even reused old parts maybe my very same ones i have no idea either or?,and im being completely honest and No offense, but he should not be called the brake guy and sure as hell DEFINITELY NOT YOUR MOBILE MECHANIC!And then if you do still choose him instead of taking your vehicle to a real mechanic shop(LIKE ME) than whatever happens to your vehicle is really on you!

Do not use him He knows Nothing about vehicles I'm warning everyone, because he chose the road not to make it right! Told him my problem(well that felt like the brakes let go and the brake petal went right ti the floor),he even came out and looked under my vehicle and said front brake pads(never replace my old brake pads, what i was told by others was that he just reused my old Brake pads!!!!and flipped them around...WHAT!) as you can see from the picture the only new thing is the 1 caliper, again I was told was put on horribly wrong looked like a dog chewed on the bleeder screw after, and if that screw can't be taken off, then I'd have to replace that new caliper which I payed for he messaged me saying the part was going to cost 125.00 then he sent me a request for 135 which I thought odd because he didn't need money for my brakes, but I went with it against my better judgment, being gullible, naive is what I am,he even staked his life on that being the problem and that's why the brakes weren't working this whole mess was exactly that a mess and he really makes you think Like he's an amazing stand up kind of guy but he's not his tools we're everywhere he's just a mess kind of guy I know better next time and after all he did which was the ac and that one caliper I'm 335.00 in the whole and without a vehicle because I was told that if he knew anything about brake pads or anything they would have known from looking at it that it needed way more than what this guy did which didn't help me at all in any way shape or form I have an ac in a vehicle that's deemed trash and would have saved alot of money and time and dumbness if I could have just drove it to a mechanic in the first place instead of calling this joke, another thing you should know about him is he comes with what it looks like to be a family so I was like aweee a family man(not a man out to screw a mother and her 4 little one)he ignors you/ghosts you if you try to contact him asking to make it right or something he doesn't like, and then he will change his name on Google from The BRAKE Guy to Your Mobile Mechanic which is even worse

Had a brake shoe go bad, driving rain storm, in a town I didn't know, 6 hours from home, late on a Saturday afternoon. I called him up and he dropped everything else to bail us out. This was huge. Picked up the parts, and changed out the pads in a parking lot. Got us home. If I lived in Freeport I'd call him again if need be. Could've left us in a bad spot and didn't. And did good work to boot. A+++++ Appreciate it
