Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts Introduce

For local users in Freeport, ME, navigating the automotive aftermarket, Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts presents itself as a unique establishment within the "Auto Repair Stations" category. Located at 13 Allen Range Rd, Freeport, ME 04032, USA, this business serves a dual purpose: providing used auto parts and facilitating metal recycling. They can be reached by phone at (207) 865-4702 or mobile at +1 207-865-4702.

The environment at Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts, as implied by customer reviews, is characteristic of a salvage yard or junkyard, which operates as a hub for both dismantling vehicles for parts and collecting various metals for recycling. One reviewer describes a "drive right-in, and onto the scale, dump your metal, show ID, collect check" process, suggesting an organized system for metal intake. This indicates an outdoor, industrial setting, likely with designated areas for different types of scrap metal and rows of salvaged vehicles. While some customers find the process efficient and the yard "clutter-free" in terms of how they manage incoming metals, the overall impression would be one of a working yard focused on resource recovery and part extraction rather than a retail-style showroom. For those accustomed to typical auto parts stores, this environment might be different, reflecting its salvage and recycling operations.

Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts offers distinct services that cater to different customer needs within the automotive and recycling sectors. Their primary services include:

  • Used Auto Parts Sales: As a "Used Auto Parts" establishment, their core service is to provide affordable, pre-owned components salvaged from dismantled vehicles. This includes a wide array of parts such as engines, transmissions, body panels (doors, hoods, fenders), interior components, electrical parts, lights, wheels, tires, and more, for various makes and models of cars and trucks. Customers typically visit such yards to find cost-effective alternatives to new or aftermarket parts, especially for older or less common vehicles.
  • Metal Recycling (Scrap Metal Purchasing): This is a significant part of their operation, as highlighted by a customer review. They buy various types of metals, including potentially automotive scrap, from individuals and businesses. The process involves weighing the metal and paying the customer, offering a way for locals to dispose of metal waste responsibly and profitably. This service appeals to individuals cleaning out their yards or businesses with metal byproduct.

The combination of these services positions Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts as a resource for both vehicle repair/restoration and general metal waste management.

The features of Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts, based on the provided reviews, present a mixed picture. On one hand, a positive feature highlighted is their efficient and helpful process for metal recycling. The reviewer appreciated being "treated well" and finding staff "helpful... when I ask my random questions about what I can/can not bring for metals." This suggests a commitment to customer service in their recycling operations, with clear procedures and knowledgeable staff guiding the process, resulting in a positive experience of "PROFIT!" On the other hand, a significant contrasting feature, as per a negative review, is their highly problematic customer service and pricing practices related to auto parts inquiries. This review describes employees as "ABSOLUTE RUDEST people I have ever spoken to," with instances of being "hung up on" and "LOWBALLED ME TREMENDOUSLY." This indicates inconsistent service quality depending on the type of interaction or service sought. While some customers find the process straightforward for metal, others experience extreme frustration when attempting to acquire parts or get quotes, suggesting issues with professionalism and fair pricing in that specific area. This dichotomy in customer experience is a critical feature that potential users should be aware of when considering their services.

Regarding promotional information, Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts would typically promote itself based on its dual function and the cost-effectiveness of used parts. For their metal recycling service, their promotion would likely focus on the convenience, the process of getting paid for scrap metal, and perhaps the environmental benefits of recycling. For used auto parts, the key promotional message would be the affordability of parts compared to new ones, and the potential to find specific or hard-to-find components for older vehicles. However, the provided reviews offer conflicting "promotional" insights from real customer experiences. The positive review implicitly promotes the ease and benefit of their metal recycling service, suggesting a reliable way to dispose of scrap and earn money. Conversely, the negative review serves as a stark warning about potential issues with their auto parts sales process, particularly regarding customer interaction and pricing. This suggests that while they might informally attract customers through their role as a local junkyard and parts source, managing customer expectations and ensuring consistent service quality, especially for parts inquiries, would be crucial for their long-term reputation. For local users, the existing feedback emphasizes the importance of verifying their experience, especially when dealing with auto parts pricing and communication, contrasting it with potentially smoother interactions for metal recycling.

Allen Range Rd Used Auto Parts Customer Reviews

I've always had good experiences here. They treat me well and are helpful to me when I ask my random questions about what I can/can not bring for metals. Drive right‐in, and onto the scale, dump your metal, show ID, collect check — enjoy clutter‐free yard, and get paid for it. ≈ PROFIT!

Absolute RUDEST people I have ever spoken to. I was hung up on, when asking for a quote, was not even given the opportunity to speak when I called the second time. And when I tried to calculate my decision, due to the fact that they LOWBALLED ME TREMENDOUSLY, they hung up once again. The third call was NEVER answered. The absolute WORST, most ENTITLED junkyard I have ever called, and they are ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS.
