Most HORRIBLE experience I have EVER had with a car repair shop. 2 years ago, I my car was having issues starting. I brought it here and they said it was the starter. After they put the new starter in, they explained to me that I would have to push the key in and turn it in order for it to start. (Meaning the brand new starter I had just paid them to replace wasn't actually the issue in the first place, as confirmed by a different repairman.) So over the last two years I would just push my key in to start it, but over time it got worse and would take a few tries before actually starting. On July 29th, 2024, it completely quit on me and I had it towed back here (my mistake). I called before having it towed, and they told me it would only take a couple days. After dropping it off, I heard absolutely nothing from them. I had to keep calling every couple days to get updates myself, which they almost never had answers for. At first they thought it was the starter, until I explained to them they had already given me one 2 years prior. Then they said they were still trying a few things to figure out what the problem was. Next they said there was a piece missing somewhere and they were waiting for parts. I finally called for the last time on August 14th, and the guy who answered acted like he had no idea about what was going on with it. He asked another guy that was there, and said he "thinks" that's the car they're waiting on a steering column for. At that point I asked if they could just put the car out front so I could have it towed. The shop I had it towed to, Christmas Auto on Market St, had an answer for me the the next morning, and had it fixed and ready for pickup by 5pm that same day! I should have taken it there from the very beginning! ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT, I saw that my car had been VANDALIZED and ROBBED while at Xpress. When asked about it, the guys all acted like they didn't know what happened, but admitted to leaving it unlocked for the 2 1/2 weeks it was at their shop not being fixed. They claimed they leave them unlocked because they are in and out of them, and proceeded to say that homeless people steal from them sometimes. One guy even had the audacity to say that if he had locked it, then they person that robbed it would have just broken a window to get in. I cannot make this up. They said the owner was out of town, so they could not show us the cameras. So I am in the process of filing a police report and getting access to the cameras now. It's looking like I may end up having to get a lawyer as well. This place needs shut down. -10/10 stars. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. EDIT: In response to the owner's response. Why would I have a work order if you had my car for weeks and did no work? Let's not act like you don't remember having my car either. I have the right shop. Xpress Auto on Mahoning in Youngstown.

So... I'm an hour into a 4 hour trip and my brakes are sounding bad... What are the chances an auto repair shop is going to help a total stranger who calls on a Friday afternoon & says, "I'm on the turnpike, but I have a brake issue." The mechanic has a 0% chance of repeat business from the caller. But y'know what? They called in a pad & caliper order to a parts store & got me their professional discount on it. Then they fixed the brakes as soon as they finished a car already on the lift. Then they explained the issue in completely understandable terms - no puffed up "only mechanics get it" lingo. Then they charged an extremely reasonable fee for the labor. Greg and his crew are truly good human beings. Matt. 24:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." I was the least, and Xpress did right to me.

Wow I’m completely at shocked by this place. In the past 5 years I’ve lived in multiple states, always had different cars with different issues..but this company blew me away with the customer service. I was planning on moving to another state with my car and just wanted it checked out. It’s had some issues in the past but nothing crazy, check engine light just recently went on.Once he got under the hood I was told there are some big wiring problems, the camshaft sensor wasn’t even there!He even showed me. I don’t know how the other shops did not bring that up to me. He was extremely educated and genuine. Would definitely go again
