Wright Collision of Ambridge Introduce
Wright Collision of Ambridge, located at 2516 Duss Ave, Ambridge, PA 15003, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, specifically focusing on collision, body, paint, and glass repair services. They can be reached by phone at (724) 799-2362 or via mobile at +1 724-799-2362. As part of the broader Wright Automotive Group, they aim to provide comprehensive solutions for vehicles that have sustained damage, ranging from minor dents and scratches to extensive collision impacts.
The "environment" of Wright Collision of Ambridge, like many established auto body shops, is designed to accommodate vehicles requiring significant structural and cosmetic repairs. This typically includes a dedicated workshop area with specialized equipment for body straightening, welding, painting, and detailing. A reception area is provided for customer interaction, estimates, and paperwork. Given their focus on collision repair, their facilities are equipped to handle complex jobs that often involve working with insurance companies. They strive to maintain a professional and organized environment to manage the flow of damaged vehicles and ensure a systematic repair process.
The "services" offered by Wright Collision of Ambridge primarily revolve around restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, or even better. These services commonly include:
- Collision Repair: This is their core service, addressing damage resulting from accidents, including structural repairs, frame straightening, and replacement of damaged body panels. They are equipped to handle a wide spectrum of collision severity.
- Auto Body Work: Beyond accidents, they address general body imperfections such as dents, dings, and scratches, using techniques like paintless dent removal (PDR) where applicable, though their main focus is on more significant body work.
- Paint Services: They offer comprehensive painting services, ensuring color matching and a factory-like finish for repaired or replaced panels. This often involves state-of-the-art paint booths and the use of modern painting techniques to achieve high-quality results. Information suggests they may utilize waterborne basecoats for a better factory color match and environmental benefits.
- Auto Glass Repair and Replacement: This includes the repair or full replacement of windshields, rear windows, and side glass, a common requirement after impacts or severe weather.
- Insurance Claim Assistance: A crucial service in collision repair, they often work directly with insurance companies, helping customers navigate the claims process, prepare estimates, and manage communication, aiming to alleviate stress for the vehicle owner.
- Detailing Services: After repairs are completed, vehicles typically undergo a thorough cleaning and detailing to ensure they are returned to the customer in pristine condition.
The "features" of Wright Collision of Ambridge, as a professional auto repair station, include their certification by organizations such as Assured Performance, which indicates they meet rigorous standards for tools, equipment, training, and facility maintenance to repair vehicles according to manufacturer specifications. They also boast recognition from specific automakers like Nissan, suggesting specialized expertise in repairing these brands. Their commitment to returning vehicles to "pre-accident condition" is a key promise, with some customers even reporting their vehicle looked better than before the accident. They emphasize experienced and highly trained staff, capable of handling a variety of repair needs. The facility itself is described as "state-of-the-art," implying modern equipment and efficient workflows. They aim to provide frequent status updates on vehicle repairs, keeping customers informed throughout the process.
However, it is important to address customer experiences that highlight areas for improvement. Some reviews point to challenges with the repair process, including initial missed repairs, quality control issues (e.g., missing clips, water lines, overspray, mangled parts, unreplaced components, gaps in glass, and damaged AC lines), and communication delays regarding repair timelines and loaner vehicles. These instances suggest that while the stated aim is high-quality and efficient service, there can be inconsistencies in execution and communication. It's noted that after issues were voiced, efforts were made to correct them, indicating a willingness to address customer concerns when brought to their attention. The mention of potential delays due to part availability (e.g., "COVID supply chain excuse") and technician availability (e.g., "technician has some vacation time coming up") points to common challenges in the automotive repair industry that can impact customer wait times.
Regarding "promotional information," typical auto repair stations like Wright Collision of Ambridge might offer promotions such as discounts on certain services, package deals for combined repairs, or incentives related to specific insurance partnerships. Given their affiliation with the Wright Automotive Group, they might also participate in broader group-wide promotions or loyalty programs. However, specific, publicly advertised promotional details for their collision center are not extensively available in the provided information. Generally, collision centers primarily promote their expertise in handling complex repairs, their certifications, their ability to work with insurance companies, and their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction as their main selling points. It is advisable for prospective customers to directly contact Wright Collision of Ambridge to inquire about any current specials, warranty information on repairs, or specific policies regarding estimates and repair guarantees. Their website, if available, would be the best source for current promotions and detailed service descriptions.
In conclusion, Wright Collision of Ambridge, as an "Auto Repair Station," positions itself as a comprehensive solution for vehicle collision and body repair needs in the Ambridge, PA area. While they emphasize a commitment to high-quality repairs, state-of-the-art facilities, and customer satisfaction, some past customer feedback indicates instances where initial repairs or communication fell short of expectations, though issues were subsequently addressed. Their services cover a wide range of body, paint, and glass repairs, backed by industry certifications and a focus on restoring vehicles to their pre-damaged state.

Wright Collision of Ambridge Customer Reviews
My experience with Wright Collision of Ambridge started off okay, I had an insurance claim due to severe weather, and needed my rear windshield replaced and some body work done. Got the car back in about 3 weeks, and at first I thought they did great. I dropped off my rental and after getting in my car and driving to work, I noticed several problems. My headliner is missing retaining clips, headliner also has water lines on it that certainly shouldn't be there, the "A pillars" are all mangled from what looks like prying on it, the rear plastic parts behind the back seat head rests are just hanging there, there are a couple spots of overspray, some sort of blue substance is on my passenger door and A pillar, the windshield seems to have micro-bubbles/cracks all around it, and there is still about 1/8th to 1/4 gap between my rear glass and roof. I called the manager Greg to get these problems addressed on May 16th, and it seemed to be okay. I was told to come in May 29th, the day after memorial day, and they would give me a loaner vehicle while they fixed what they messed up. The morning of the 29th, I was there 15 minutes before they opened at 8, and Greg and I started to fill out paperwork. He went into the back office to speak to another employee, to which they came out and said that "we messed up another customers car friday and had to give out our loaner vehicle, and my technician has some vacation time coming up". I asked when that would be, and was told "today or tomorrow". I called back on the 30th, said who I was and was just checking to see when they would be getting their loaner car back. Once again I was told "today or tomorrow". Fast forward to June 3rd, I still haven't heard anything so I decided to email Greg. I said I would like to know if they will be fixing my car or if I should have it taken elsewhere to be repaired. I did receive an email later that day stating they received their loaner back late Friday, and they would be reaching out shortly to schedule the repairs of the short falls. It is now June 8th, nothing about when I will be able to drop off my car, no sort of update. I am now rolling up on 1 month having my car in this state, and it seems like no effort is being put into fixing what they messed up. "We messed up another customers car" and "my technician has some vacation time coming up" does not warrant me having to wait for them to fix what should have been done right the first time.

Update: After voicing my issues with them, they scheduled me back in and corrected everything. It was a frustrating journey but after it was all said and done I don't have much to complain about. 3/30/23 Wish they would let you pick 0 stars. Worst vehicle repair shop I have ever dealt with. Had a front end collision with a dear. Took the vehicle in the week between Christmas and New Years. Picked the vehicle up February 1st 2023. Said they couldn't get parts, ok I'll give them the COVID supply chain excuse...I guess. Got the vehicle home and realized they didn't replace all of the broken parts in the front end, some plastic shrouding pieces were not replaced, they even left one of the broken ones hanging there. I mean anyone can replace the obvious broken stuff like the smashed head light, fender and bumper, but I came to a reputable (or so I thought) dealership so they would catch all of the little things a small place may overlook. The least they could have done was throw away the remaining broken shroud that was hanging on by a thread. But no they left it for me to find. So the next thing I checked was the A/C, you know because the second most forward part of a vehicle after the bumper is the A/C condenser. Low and behold, no pressure completely empty. So I told them about it and they said bring it in so they can check into it. They said, "couldn't get that one joint to stop leaking" we'll order another condenser. I don't think much of it, other than that was about a month and a half ago, until I popped under the hood again. Only to find a snapped completely in half high pressure line for the A/C going to the condenser. The picture below is how they left it. Open to the atmosphere letting all the moisture mother nature wants to collect in my A/C system. They never mentioned they broke the part. Nor is that what they said they needed to replace. I will make sure all my fiends, family neighbors etc. never use there services.

Came here after a bad experience elsewhere through an insurance claim and I have nothing but positive things to say. Zach was professional and prompt and made sure I was taken care of. Told me would be three days until my car would be done and it was exactly that. Highly recommend them for your body shop needs!

I will never use this body shop again!! Worst experience ever! That’s all I’m gonna say. Not enough time in a day to type the experience I had. And from the looks of it in other reviews, they’re pretty much doing the same thing to everyone. Not replacing parts and doing shabby work until you call them out on it. 👎🏽👎🏽

I will update this review on work done. Thus far I am not a fan. It has been past 30 days and I am still waiting. I was not updated at all, I have had to call weekly for updates, otherwise I would be just sitting here with no updates. I am now paying out of pocket for the rental as I have exceeded my 30 days rental with my insurance company. This place should really consider offering loaner cars or reimbursing people/paying for customer rental cars past the 30 days (either full or at least partial reimbursement) if repairs are going to exceed 30 days and they should call with updates without a customer having to call.
