Worldwide Automotive Inc Introduce
Worldwide Automotive Inc, located at 3232 Girard Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, USA, operates as an auto repair station and is closely associated with "Old Car Garage," which handles bodywork, reportedly under the same ownership. This establishment falls within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, offering a spectrum of services ranging from general automotive repair to specialized classic car restoration and bodywork. For local users in Albuquerque seeking vehicle services, Worldwide Automotive Inc can be contacted at (505) 881-2722, which also serves as their mobile number.
As an auto repair facility that also engages in classic car restoration and bodywork, Worldwide Automotive Inc and its associated Old Car Garage would likely maintain a multi-faceted environment. The general repair side would feature typical garage bays with lifts, diagnostic equipment, and tools for mechanical work. The "Old Car Garage" aspect implies a dedicated area for bodywork, which would include specialized equipment for panel repair, painting, and potentially custom fabrication, such as a paint booth and body alignment tools. The presence of "beautifully restored old cars" within the facility, as mentioned by a positive reviewer, suggests a display or staging area where finished or in-progress restoration projects might be showcased. This would contribute to an environment that appeals to classic car enthusiasts. The location on Girard Blvd NE provides accessibility within Albuquerque, serving various parts of the city. While specific details about customer waiting areas or the overall size of the facility are not provided, the combination of general repair and specialized restoration indicates a comprehensive setup for diverse automotive needs.
Worldwide Automotive Inc, in conjunction with Old Car Garage, offers a broad array of automotive services. While a detailed list of every specific service isn't provided, the customer reviews indicate a range of offerings that includes both general mechanical repairs and specialized bodywork and restoration:
- General Automotive Repair: One review highlights that customers take "all my cars to Worldwide Automotive for over 25 years" for "car problems." This suggests expertise in diagnosing and fixing common mechanical issues for various car makes and models, such as engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Classic Car Restoration: The presence of "Old Car Garage" and the mention of "beautifully restored old cars" clearly indicate a specialization in the restoration of vintage and classic vehicles. This would involve comprehensive services, including mechanical overhauls, interior refurbishment, and significant bodywork.
- Bodywork (via Old Car Garage): One customer specifically called Worldwide Automotive Inc for a bodywork request and was referred to Old Car Garage, confirming that this is where their body services are performed. This would encompass dent repair, panel replacement, rust removal, custom fabrication, and painting.
- Specific Body and Trim Installation/Adjustment: As detailed in one review, services included installing a front cab mount, new door rubber, vent window rubber, glass runners, window dividers, and adjusting a hood. This indicates capabilities in detailed trim work and structural component installation related to body integrity.
- Paint Services: The negative review's mention of "the paint wasn’t dry" implies that painting is a service offered by Old Car Garage as part of their bodywork.
- Estimates and Assessment: Customers are typically contacted after problems are assessed, and an estimate to fix is provided.
The scope ranges from routine maintenance and troubleshooting for everyday vehicles to complex, labor-intensive projects for classic car enthusiasts.
The customer reviews present a stark contrast in experiences, revealing differing aspects of Worldwide Automotive Inc's key features and business approach:
- Long-Standing Reputation (Positive): One customer has been taking "all my cars to Worldwide Automotive for over 25 years," indicating a long history of trust and satisfaction, suggesting consistent quality and reliable service over decades. This highlights the business's longevity and ability to retain a loyal customer base.
- Excellent Technicians (Positive): The positive reviewer praises "Excellent technicians to fix car problems at reasonable rates," emphasizing their technical competence.
- Good Communication & Estimates (Positive): "They are great at contacting you after they have assessed problems and give estimate to fix" highlights effective communication and transparency in the repair process for some customers.
- Kind and Helpful Staff (Positive): "Owners and staff very kind and helpful" points to a positive customer service environment.
- Specialization in Classic Car Restoration (Positive): The ability to restore "beautifully restored old cars" suggests a passion and expertise in this niche area.
- Lack of Transparent Pricing for Bodywork (Negative): A major point of contention in the negative review is the lack of a "written price" and a final bill "in the thousands of dollars" that far exceeded expectations. This suggests a significant transparency issue or a breakdown in the estimation process, particularly for bodywork.
- High Labor Hours & Overcharging Allegations (Negative): The customer felt "more than double charge for the work," implying that the accumulated hours for relatively minor tasks were excessive, leading to an unexpectedly high bill.
- Inconsistent Management & Follow-up (Negative): The frequent turnover of body shop managers (Aaron leaving, returning, then leaving again, replaced by Bryan) and a lack of follow-up on unresolved issues (rattle, wind noise) indicate potential organizational instability and inconsistent quality control, particularly in the body shop division.
- Lack of Pre-Pickup Inspection (Negative): The customer desired the truck to be "checked out and test drove, before I came to get it," but this seemingly did not happen, leading to immediate issues post-pickup.
- Concerns about Business Longevity (Negative): The negative reviewer expressed serious doubts about the business's future, advising caution due to perceived operational issues and the age of the owner.
These contrasting views suggest that while the mechanical repair side of Worldwide Automotive Inc might have a strong and reliable history, the bodywork and restoration arm (Old Car Garage) may be experiencing significant operational and customer service challenges, particularly concerning pricing transparency and project management.
No explicit promotional offers or discounts are available from the provided information. The "promotional" aspect of Worldwide Automotive Inc is derived from the very different customer experiences:
- Positive Promotion from Long-Term Loyalty: The positive review acts as a strong endorsement for the general mechanical repair services, emphasizing consistent quality, reasonable rates, and trustworthy staff over 25 years. This highlights a core of satisfied, repeat customers who value their expertise and reliability. The visual appeal of "beautifully restored old cars" also serves as a silent promotion of their restoration capabilities.
- Negative Promotion from Cost & Service Issues: Conversely, the extensive negative review serves as a stark warning, particularly concerning the bodywork side of the business (Old Car Garage). This review's detail about unexpected high costs, perceived overcharging, and follow-up issues would significantly deter potential customers, especially for large restoration projects. The advice to "BEWARE!!" and the strong recommendation against doing business without a "written price" are powerful disincentives.
For local users in Albuquerque, Worldwide Automotive Inc presents a duality: a potentially reliable choice for general mechanical repairs with a long-standing positive reputation, but a potentially risky choice for extensive bodywork and restoration projects, especially if detailed, written estimates and clear communication are not secured upfront. Customers considering their services, particularly for classic car bodywork, would be well-advised to seek comprehensive written quotes and ensure clear understanding of all costs and timelines to mitigate potential issues.

Worldwide Automotive Inc Customer Reviews
I called them and they referred me to Old Car Garage where they do the bodywork ,same owner. I wanted them to install a front cab mount, which I supplied, and I supplied all the few other things that they installed. The company I got the cab mount from told me it was a 3 to 4 hour job to install it, I wanted it cleaned and painted so figured an hour or so more. I also wanted them to adjust the right passenger door for excessive wind noise and remove ,clean and install new rubber around both doors. Hey also installed new rubber around the two vent windows, two Glass runners and one window divider. I asked them to adjust my hood and to install a new cowell rubber, and the rubber grommets that hold the hood snug. They called me one day and told me it needed a bolt in the fender and it would cost $238, I told them go ahead, but, they didn’t tell me they were accumulating many hours to equal a bill in the thousands of dollars, yes you read it correctly . On the day I went to pick it up ,it was supposed to be ready around 3:00 PM ,they told me the paint wasn’t dry to come back in a few hours, after a long day, I went to the counter to pay the bill, when I saw it I almost had a heart attack! I thought I was going to fall over on the counter, $4865. You know ,I talk to the few other body shops after this happened and they agreed I was more than double charge for the work. On the way home my truck developed a rattle ,when I called them they seemed to think it was the bolt they put in , and I needed to go back ,two hour round trip,to have it tightened, they knew I didn’t live around the corner and I wanted it to be checked out and test drove ,before I came to get it. The wind noise was not improved on ,the body shop manager who I dealt with was Aaron,he told me he was here before ,left, was back for about six months, after he worked on my truck, has since left again and I was told another shop manager is there now, Bryan. BEWARE!! If you leave your vehicle with them and you don’t have a written price of what your bill is going to be, good luck! IMO I would be shocked if they are in business this time next year.If leaving them your vehicle for say a total restoration and you had the price that it was going to cost, I still would not do business with this company, just because you think everything is OK And they go out of business, good luck. The owner is around 84 years of age and in my opinion, he’s not going to be there much longer, doing this kind of business.

Have taken all my cars to Worldwide Automotive for over 25 years. Excellent technicians to fix car problems at reasonable rates. They are great at contacting you after they have assessed problems and give estimate to fix. Usually able to fix car same day. Owners and staff very kind and helpful. If you want to see some beautifully restored old cars, take a few minutes to go in and peruse.

I really wanted to give these guys a better review because they're usually friendly and honest, but this last time I took my car in for service I got taken for a ride. I brought in my Honda CRV, for an A/C problem. Albeit, it's an intermittent problem, so not easy to diagnose the problem. However, after being told by the mechanic that he was a Honda expert, I felt comfortable leaving it for an estimate to repair. Long story short, after a $250.00 service fee, they were unable to diagnose or fix anything. They then told me it would be another $900.00 to try something else out, with no guarantee of it resolving the problem. We literally paid $250.00 for a new cabin filter ($26.00) and a replaced relay ($21.00) which it didn't even need. We left feeling screwed by another mechanic that supposedly knew everything about Honda CRV's. The car is exactly the same as before we brought it in. I am completely disappointed, and I won't be returning or recommending them to others.
