Woods Body Shop Introduce

Woods Body Shop, located at 2058 Piedmont Rd in New Market, Tennessee, operates as an Auto Repair Station offering services primarily focused on vehicle bodywork and painting. While specific details about the shop's environment are not extensively available online, customer reviews provide contrasting perspectives on the services offered. It's important for local users to consider both positive and negative feedback when evaluating Woods Body Shop for their automotive needs.

Based on the limited customer reviews available, the services at Woods Body Shop appear to center around collision repair and vehicle painting. One customer explicitly mentioned taking their car in for painting. This suggests that Woods Body Shop offers cosmetic repairs and enhancements in addition to addressing damage from accidents.

One review describes a positive experience where the owner was friendly and the estimate for repair work was completed in a timely manner. This customer indicated satisfaction with the service received and would recommend Woods Body Shop to others in the area. This suggests that for some customers, Woods Body Shop provides satisfactory and timely service, particularly in the initial stages like estimates and potentially for collision-related repairs that might be prioritized by insurance companies.

However, another customer shared a significantly negative experience regarding a car painting job. According to this review, the process took an exceptionally long time – over two years – with the vehicle allegedly sitting in primer for an extended period under a partially open carport, exposed to the elements. The customer reported a lack of progress despite checking in periodically and cited repeated assurances of completion within a few weeks that were not met. Ultimately, the customer retrieved their vehicle in what they described as a "pitiful" condition after waiting for an extended and unsatisfactory timeframe. This review raises concerns about project timelines, communication regarding progress, and the storage conditions of vehicles undergoing repair or painting.

Given these contrasting accounts, it is challenging to definitively outline the full scope of services, the typical turnaround times, or the overall customer experience at Woods Body Shop. However, based on the available information, potential services offered by this Auto Repair Station may include:

  • Vehicle Painting: This appears to be one of the core services, although the reported experience indicates significant variability in completion time and customer satisfaction.
  • Collision Repair: The positive review suggests that Woods Body Shop handles collision-related repairs, possibly working with insurance companies.
  • Bodywork: Addressing dents, scratches, and other forms of body damage is a likely service associated with collision repair and painting.
  • Estimates: Providing cost assessments for repair and painting work is a service explicitly mentioned in the positive review.

Due to the conflicting nature of the customer feedback regarding timelines and the overall experience, it is difficult to highlight specific "features" of Woods Body Shop that consistently benefit customers. The friendly demeanor of the owner, as mentioned in one review, could be considered a positive aspect of their customer interaction. However, the extended delays and perceived lack of progress reported by another customer present a significant concern.

Similarly, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or specific features that might attract new customers. Given the mixed reviews, it would be prudent for potential customers to directly inquire about timelines, processes, and storage of vehicles before committing to any work at Woods Body Shop.

Points to Consider for Local Users:

  • Conflicting Customer Experiences: Be aware that customer experiences appear to vary significantly, particularly regarding the duration of services like painting.
  • Timeline Expectations: If you require work with a specific timeframe, it is crucial to have a clear and agreed-upon timeline with Woods Body Shop and to maintain open communication throughout the process.
  • Insurance Work: The negative review mentions insurance work potentially taking priority, which could impact the timeline for other types of jobs. If your repair is not insurance-related, it's advisable to discuss this explicitly.
  • Vehicle Storage: For longer projects, inquire about where and how your vehicle will be stored to ensure it is protected from the elements.
  • Communication: Clear and consistent communication with the shop regarding the progress of your vehicle is essential.

In conclusion, Woods Body Shop in New Market, TN, is an Auto Repair Station specializing in bodywork and painting. While one customer reported a positive experience with an estimate and timely work, another detailed a highly unsatisfactory experience with a prolonged and ultimately uncompleted painting job. Local users considering Woods Body Shop should weigh these contrasting accounts and exercise caution, particularly regarding project timelines and communication. It is strongly recommended to contact Woods Body Shop directly at (865) 397-1297 or +1 865-397-1297 to discuss your specific needs, expectations, and to seek clarification on their processes and timelines before entrusting them with your vehicle. Visiting the location at 2058 Piedmont Rd, New Market, TN 37820, USA, for an in-person assessment and discussion might also be beneficial in making an informed decision.

Woods Body Shop Customer Reviews

Took my car there to be painted. I know painting a car is a job, and honestly expected it to take maybe a year or so. Id check in with him every couple months or so, just to see what he'd been doing. Of course insurance work comes in the top of his priority list, which i understand. After around the first year, the car was pretty much in primer and i figured, hey, he's getting close. Then it stopped completely. Id check every three or four months, just to chat a bit, and see what had been going on. 2 years rolls around. Nothing. Car had been sitting outside under a half closed in carport, open to whatever may blow or fly in there...I called on the 2 year day, seeing if he would get to it soon. "oh ill try about 6 or 8 weeks", which is honestly what i've heard for the last year. Finally i give in, i tell him i'm giving you three more months. Nothing. Finally went and got my car and brought her home. Pics will show the shape it was in when i did...... you decide. Pitiful place to go.

Brought my car in from a wreck and woods body shop was close to my home so I brought it in to have an estimate done. Owner was very friendly and the work was done timely. Would recommend to anyone in the area highly.

In the automotive repair business, the most important attribute is character. If the person isn’t trustworthy, then it doesn’t matter how good of a job they may or may not do - you are probably getting ripped off and don’t even know it. That’s why this review is applicable to this business. So here goes. Back in January of 2024 our area had the worst snow storm in 150 years, and we will probably never have such a terrible storm like that again. We (my household and 2 other households on the hill) couldn’t get up our steep driveway. At the bottom of our driveway is Wood’s Body Shop (owned by Jim Woods), and we have been neighbors for over 25 years. Since this is E. TN, we help out out neighbors every chance we get. So we naturally asked the person at the shop (his nephew, I believe) if we could park at the bottom of his driveway so we could attempt to get food and water if we ran out during this snowstorm that lasted 2 weeks. His nephew said it “wasn’t any problem at all”, and we could park at the end of his driveway. We did so, but the next day we walk 1 mile down our driveway to find both our cars were gone. We didn’t expect for them to be towed as we had permission, so we called the police, but come to find out Jim had towed our cars! We contacted Jim, and Jim apologized and said he’d pay the tow bill. So, we wait until he had it paid to pickup the car, but weeks and almost 2 months go by, and no word from Jim. Come to find out, he’s good buddies with the tow company, and when we called to inquire about our car with the tow company, they tell us that Jim had not paid, and in fact they had sent the paperwork off to take possession of our vehicle. So we call Jim, and Jim said he would NOT pay. Anyway, anyone who is considering calling this body shop for work better read this review to make the best decision possible. I’m trying to save you all a headache, and I pray you find someone who is honest and neighborly. I wouldn’t trust the man with a wooden fishing pole!
