Walmart Auto Care Centers Customer Reviews

This week I went here for oil change and I was first in line and ANDREW checked me in and They brought my car in 15 minutes later and it was just sitting there, but they decided to move my car out of the working station and replace it with a different care without doing the oil change on my car. I decided to check in on them but they kept making excuses regarding the wait and ANDREW was really rude about it and told me to talk to the supervisor. SHAWN was the supervisor and after talking to him, they denied service for no reason. They wasted my time for one hour for oil change and they were not honest about the time nor the reason they denied my car for service. I want to know why they denied my car after one hour waiting and who can you respond to my concerns.

We brought in my partner’s car for an oil change service, and they stated it would be a two hour wait. We went out to run an errand, then home to wait for the call on his car. We got a call back, saying they had to cancel our service and for him to pick up his car. They said the reasoning for it was that the skid plate was stripped but we wanted a better explanation in person. Once we arrived asking for the explanation, first off, the worker helping us told us the issue of a completely different car. Once we confirmed which car we had, he then came back later, apologized and stated the same thing about the skid plate being stripped and if they tried to take it out by force, they would damage the vehicle and didn’t want to risk it being a liability. They recommended we went back to whoever did our service last time. I didn’t want to say who REALLY did the service because it came off as if they didn’t know exactly what they were doing. So instead, we took their advice and went for the oil change at the last service location, but didn’t tell them anything vs. they said we should let them know that they damaged the car’s skid plate. The service was finished in about 10 mins: they didn’t it with no problems, no issues, no need to replace the skid plate. It honestly feels like, because my partner’s car wasn’t set up exactly how they would like to work on it, they got paranoid and decided not to go through with the service. If anyone else has a better experience than this, by all means, continue going to them. But after this visit, we genuinely don’t feel comfortable anymore visiting this location for car services.

Please, do not get an oil change here. I brought in my Honda accord a few months ago for an oil change after my dad mentioned a good experience at Walmart in Anaheim. I decided to go to the Vista location since it was closer to home. After they changed my oil I drove off and recieved a call whiling driving that my car was leaking. I was luckily parked nearby to figure out directions. Within the span of a few minutes, as I was driving back, ALL of my engine lights turned on due to the faulty oil change. A 45 minute oil change ended up being 2 hours due to their inability and negligence on their part. I had residue oil leaking from the spill and was concerned if there had been any indication of more significant damage. At first when I spoke to the manager he was diminishing of the engine lights being their fault until I kept elaborating that it's not possible for all of them to be on prior to my appointment. After our conversation, they worked to fix their mistake and to fix the lights that turned on. I went to the dealership afterwards to check the fix and then back to Walmart for a receipt of the events that occurred. Many of the technicians working were polite and helpful when I addressed my concerns, but I would not trust them for an oil change again.

Can I give this place a 0??? The last few times I have come to get my oil change, the service has gotten worse. This time, no one acknowledged me and I was just standing outside my car waiting for someone to get my car checked in. Lady inside is rude as all hell, the technicians are unprofessional (stare right at you but don’t say boo) and play inappropriate music. I came here because it was affordable and quick but last time I waited 2 hours when there was only 1 car in front of me! I am going to pay the extra $20 and go elsewhere than deal with this headache of a place!!!!

I found an amazing deal on tires from Walmart.com and decided to have them installed at the Vista location since it was closer to me. I made the appointment and got there maybe 10 minutes before the appointment. There was a mechanic helping another customer decide on a tire for purchase and I waited to be next. The mechanic went to put the tire back and never came back. This rude lady named Sherry asked me if I needed something and I informed her I had an appointment. She then asked me if I let the mechanics inside of the garage know. I’m trying to figure out what logical sense it would make to have a customer go through the garage and holler that I had an appointment. That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen. Then she let one of the guys know I had an appointment for my tires. He came in and got me checked in a got my keys. That part was easy. I got a message saying my car was finished and I went to the counter to get it. The same guy was working on an iPad and let me know he was getting checked out and on my way. He then walked outside to what I assume was to grab something. After about 5 minutes, I looked out the window to see he went off the change the oil on another car. I had to knock on the window to flag the other 3 mechanics who were conversing to ask where my keys are. One went quickly to get my paperwork and then went to the lock box to get my keys. No keys. He goes to ask the mechanic who was originally checking me out to get my keys. He doesn’t have them. He says a different person moved my car. Then that person is asked. He doesn’t have them. At this point I’m getting nervous because I don’t see my car and no one has my keys. We walk around the corner and there’s my car with the windows rolled down. The car was sitting there with the windows down, doors unlocked, and keys laying in the passenger seat where it could have easily gotten stolen. I called and complained about the ordeal. Apparently a manager is supposed to reach out but it’s been two days and I honestly don’t expect anything back. I just know I will stick to my normal tire shop.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this place. My experience was actually great. I came in for a simple oil change and ended up getting a few additional services. I was told it would take about an hour, and it took exactly that. I was a little confused at first about where to enter, but Technician Angel greeted me right away and helped guide me through everything. He was super friendly, made me feel comfortable about the process, and was clear about the pricing, even prioritizing options that were more reasonable for me. All in all, I had a smooth, efficient visit and felt well taken care of. I’d definitely recommend this location to others.

Don’t come here. Set aside all the time they made me wait, it look them 20 minutes to put a tire on a rim. I’ve seen this done in 5 minutes before. All in all, to pick up 2 pre-paid tires and get one of them put on a rim, it took close to an hour. Just paying took 15 minutes
