Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I love this Valvoline. They always have great customer service, no matter who is working on my vehicle. They do their jobs so well and efficiently. There’s no hidden fees. They are very upfront about what they are doing/checking, how they can help, and how much it will cost before proceeding. Taylor took great care of me while Gabe worked on my vehicle. I was in and out in no time. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

I’ve never had a bad experience anytime I’ve went. They are quick and good. However I have to give a special thanks to Dre this time for his politeness and manners. Not only that but he made sure everything was working properly and that I knew how to reset my oil light. Definitely highly recommend this place

We got 1 quart of oil sucked out of our car, and we KNOW it was full before getting it changed because we checked it before we left the house. We tried to explain to the manager she would have to adjust the hose (they always have to) to be able to suck more oil out, and all she said was “I’m the manager I made sure I did it right” like okay? I don’t care if you’re the owner, we’re the customer and if we ask you to check something again I feel as if it should be checked again. Also, when she was giving us an invoice, she just stared at my boyfriend and said “are you done?” In a rudely manner because he didn’t hear her talking. This “manager” needs a reality check!

Don't go and get defrauded by this place. Went in for an oil change for a vehicle that had been driven only 3000 miles since last oil & air filter change. The CSR / MANAGER showed me a completely filthy air filter next to a brand new one and said "this is not right", implying that the filthy one was mine & stating that it would cost $25 to replace it. I was on the phone at that moment but thought to myself "how can the air filter be that dirty after only 3000 miles?" & "why does it seem like she's using her body to shield the air filters from something?". I just replied that I'll go to a parts store & replace it myself, and she very quickly whisked the filters away. I was also told that the battery was down "88%" and that "it won't pass inspection" (which I thought was a strange thing to say because state inspections don't test the battery) & that they can "replace my battery with a 3 year for $210". I told her that I have a battery store I use & that I'll go there. So after the oil change was done, I drove to my battery place, who tested the battery & said it was fine (😠) but since it was 10 years old, maybe replace it anyhow, which I did & got a 5 year for $110, half of Valvoline price & double the warranty. THEN my wonderful battery guy (Battery Mart in Woodlawn VA) helped me uncover the air filter & LO AND BEHOLD found it perfectly white and clean (😡). So when I got home, I called Valvoline customer care to file a complaint for the clear FRAUD that's being committed at the Christiansburg location & hear back from an Area Mgr a few days later, who tells me that the CAMERAS that record all the transactions (did you KNOW you're being secretly recorded? ) show them opening my air filter case so it MUST have been my dirty air filter they showed me. So the whole 'shielding the air filter with their body' thing was to keep it from view of the camera so they could do a slight of hand maneuver. Pretty crappy that the Area Manager didn't want to take a closer look at the video... but they did offer me the opportunity to drive 3 hrs RT to view the video myself... wow, thanks, I really wanted to spend more unnecessary time and gas money on this issue. I KNOW what my air filter looked like when battery guy and I saw it... the Valvoline Mgr ability to defraud even their own management is not MY problem. What really pissed me off is that not only was I lied to about EVERYTHING, but that this was a female manager trying to take advantage of what she assumed to be a fellow female who is not mechanically inclined, which, unfortunately for them, is not true as I grew up in a family of mechanics. And it breaks my heart that my elderly mom used to frequent this store all the time & I couldn't understand why she kept having to pay for things being replaced, when it didn't make any sense. I know this store will probably post some BS response, but DON'T BELIEVE IT. I have nothing to gain from my complaints about this store... the personnel were very nice & I'm not looking for some free service because I'll never go to Valvoline again. I'm just leaving this review so no one else gets sold something they don't actually need.

Nicie here was awesome, helped me with everything I needed. Convenient and easy. Tires, battery, coolant, transmission fluid, and oil. A little bit of a wait but it was a busy time. Everyone was patient and kind with me when I had questions.
