Environment and Facility

Based on the provided customer feedback, there isn't explicit information detailing the physical environment or amenities of Unique Autobody & Collision Center. However, the interactions described suggest that the facility is set up to handle typical auto body and paint repair processes. The fact that work is performed on vehicles, including bumper replacements and painting, implies the presence of a workshop equipped for such tasks. The customer service experience, as detailed in reviews, plays a significant role in how customers perceive the overall environment, indicating that direct interaction with staff is a primary component of their experience at the facility.

Services Offered

As an "Auto Repair Station" specializing in auto body and collision work, Unique Autobody & Collision Center is expected to provide a range of services aimed at restoring vehicles to their pre-damage condition. Key services, directly and indirectly referenced in the reviews, include:

  • Bumper Replacement and Repair: One prominent review details a bumper replacement service, indicating their capability in handling significant exterior component replacements.
  • Auto Painting: The process of painting, whether a full repaint or a touch-up, is a core service. The mention of "paint and labor and paint supplies" in a customer's payment highlights this as a direct offering.
  • Collision Repair: As a "Collision Center," they are equipped to address damage resulting from vehicle impacts, which typically involves structural repairs, panel work, and body alignment.
  • Use of Specific Parts (e.g., OEM): One customer explicitly requested an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) bumper, suggesting that the center can source and install specific types of parts based on customer preference, though the outcome of this particular request in the review presents a point of contention.

These services are fundamental to an auto body and collision center, aimed at correcting both aesthetic and functional damage to a vehicle's exterior.

Features and Customer Experience

Customer experiences at Unique Autobody & Collision Center appear to be quite varied, offering different perspectives on their features:

  • Work Quality: There are contrasting views on the quality of work. One review enthusiastically praises "excellent" quality, stating the car "looked excellent" and was highly recommended for "any body work." This suggests that for some customers, the craftsmanship meets or exceeds expectations. However, another review describes "imperfections right off the batt" after a bumper replacement, including evidence of the bumper being painted while still on the car and visible masking tape, leading to significant dissatisfaction. This indicates inconsistency in quality or application of best practices for certain jobs.
  • Pricing and Quoting: One positive review highlights that the center was "very reasonable on their quotes" for two separate occasions. This suggests a competitive pricing structure that appeals to some customers seeking cost-effective solutions. Conversely, the customer with the bumper issue felt they paid a "stupid amount" for a job that wasn't completed to their satisfaction or industry standards, implying a disconnect between perceived value and cost for that specific service.
  • Customer Service and Communication: This is a point of significant divergence. While one review praises "excellent" service, including accommodating timelines and going "above and beyond," another review strongly criticizes the "owners wife 'alejandra'" for having the "worst attitude/customer service ever," becoming "frustrated and started to bicker" with the customer about the finished job. This suggests that the customer service experience can vary greatly depending on the individual interaction.
  • Efficiency and Timelines: One positive review mentions that the center accommodated their "timeline the second time," suggesting flexibility and an effort to meet customer needs regarding completion time.
  • Integrity and Work Ethic: The highly critical review raises serious concerns about "no morals or work ethic" due to the alleged painting of the bumper while on the car and the unsatisfactory outcome, leading to a strong recommendation for investigation and caution regarding signing papers without ensuring work is insured. This directly challenges the shop's integrity in the eyes of that particular customer.
Promotional Information

Based solely on the provided reviews, Unique Autobody & Collision Center's primary promotional points, both positive and negative, stem directly from customer experiences:

  • Reasonable Quotes: The positive feedback on "very reasonable" quotes acts as an indirect promotional point, suggesting they can be a cost-effective option for certain bodywork needs.
  • Flexibility with Timelines: Their willingness to "accommodate our timeline" can be attractive to customers with specific time constraints for vehicle repairs.
  • Referral Power: The "highly recommend" sentiment from satisfied customers, like Doug, indicates word-of-mouth as a significant driver for their business.

However, it is crucial for potential customers to be aware of the negative feedback regarding service quality and customer interaction. The direct instruction to "make sure before you sign any papers with them that there work after they finish is insured" serves as a cautionary note from a past customer, emphasizing the importance of diligence for future clients. Customers are encouraged to contact Unique Autobody & Collision Center directly at (760) 779-9121 to discuss their specific repair needs, obtain quotes, and gather more information before making a decision, while also considering the breadth of customer experiences available online.

Unique Autobody & Collision Center Customer Reviews

First and foremost the owners wife “alejandra” has the worst attitude/customer service ever. I paid $1,600 for my front bumper to be replaced. i talked to the owner and told him if i was gonna replace it it was gonna be a OEM. I paid 50% cash prior to even having my car worked on. I get word my car car is finished i show up and notice imperfections right off the batt. The wife who is in charge of handling the customers gets frustrated and started to bicker with me about the job that had been done. come to find out now that i’m doing my oil change they PAINTED THE BUMPER WHILE IT WAS ON THE CAR!! mind you not i paid a stupid amount for “paint and labor and paint supplies” to have my bumper not even painted all the way. this place has no morals or work ethic. especially having someone in the front dealing with customers with her kinda attitude. this place for sure needs to be investigated make sure before you sign any papers with them that there work after they finish is insured. WORST PLACE TO GET YOUR CAR DONE! ***last photo shows where they left masking tape from painting the car with the bumper on the car. **first photo is inside front bumper *** View from oil pan**

We have used them twice and both times they were very reasonable on their quotes and their service was excellent including accommodating our timeline the second time. Quality of work was excellent and they went above and beyond. My husband Doug would highly recommend them if you need any body work.

I would highly recommend Unique autobody for the work they did on my Prius. No body work done but they did brake work much cheaper than Toyota! Also helped me with the installation of a headlight. Alejandra was great at working to solve my problems. Sarah

I had a little accident involving a pole and just scratched my brand new accord a couple days after I got it. But unique body shops really helped make it look good as new. The price was reasonable and the staff were friendly, I’m definitely coming back to paint my calipers red. Highly recommend!
