Truck Haven, Inc. Introduce

Introducing Truck Haven, Inc., an auto parts store uniquely positioned within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, catering to a niche but passionate market: enthusiasts and owners of 1967-72 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Located at 161 Staley Rd, Unionville, TN 37180, USA, Truck Haven, Inc. serves as a specialized source for both new and used parts specifically for these classic truck models. You can reach them by phone at (931) 205-5926 or via mobile at +1 931-205-5926.

It's important to provide an objective introduction based on available information, including customer reviews. While specialized in its offerings, some customer feedback raises concerns regarding communication and operating hours. Therefore, prospective customers should be aware of these points and take proactive steps to confirm details before visiting or ordering.

Environment and Customer Experience

As a specialized auto parts store, particularly one focusing on vintage truck parts, Truck Haven, Inc. likely offers a distinct environment. Customers can expect a space that may resemble a combination of a traditional auto parts counter and a salvage or specialty yard, given its focus on both new and used components. The environment would be tailored to the needs of classic truck restorers and enthusiasts, potentially featuring a wide array of parts, some organized and new, others possibly salvaged and requiring inspection.

Based on one older review, there was a positive interaction with "Chuck," who was described as "awesome" and willing to spend time discussing available parts, indicating a personalized and knowledgeable customer service approach at that time. However, more recent reviews highlight significant challenges in communication and operational reliability. One customer reported ordering parts that never shipped, with no response to calls or emails, and the phone never being answered. Another customer noted a discrepancy between Google's stated operating hours (updated to be open by 9 on Mondays) and the actual status, leading to a three-hour drive to a closed shop. These recent experiences suggest that the current customer experience, particularly concerning communication and reliable operating hours, might be inconsistent or problematic. Therefore, while the potential for finding unique parts exists, customers should verify availability and operating status rigorously.

Services and Goods for Sale

Truck Haven, Inc. specializes in providing a wide range of parts specifically for 1967-72 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Their inventory includes both new and used components, catering to various restoration and repair needs. While exhaustive details of their entire stock are not publicly available, their website contact page mentions "TRUCK PARTS 67-72 CHEVROLET & GMC TRUCK PARTS NEW & USED." A YouTube review from 2019 also indicates they sell "both new and used parts with GREAT prices!" and that if you're "looking for a fender, hood, door, etc to fit your patina C10, the chances that Chuck has one that matches is pretty good!"

Based on the explicit mention of "TRUCK PARTS 67-72" and common needs for these classic models, their offerings likely include:

  • Sheet Metal: Fenders, hoods, doors, beds, inner fenders, rocker panels, cab corners, and other body panels, crucial for rust repair or collision damage on vintage trucks. Both new reproductions and good used original panels would be highly sought after.
  • Interior Components: Dash pads, armrests, door handles, window cranks, and other trim pieces that are often worn or damaged in older vehicles.
  • Exterior Components: Tail light bezels, side markers, door mirrors, and other exterior trim and lighting.
  • Hardware and Small Parts: Hood adjuster bolts, door bumper sets, and other small but essential hardware needed for assembly and restoration.
  • Mechanical Components: While their primary focus appears to be body parts, they might also stock or source mechanical components relevant to these specific truck models, given their inclusion in the "Auto Repair Stations" category, which implies providing goods for automotive repair. This could include parts related to chassis, suspension, or powertrain components, although their explicit focus is on "truck parts."
Key Features and Strengths

When considering Truck Haven, Inc., its defining features and potential strengths, as well as areas of concern, become clear:

  • Niche Specialization: The most significant feature is their highly specialized inventory for 1967-72 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. This focus makes them a potentially invaluable resource for owners of these specific classic vehicles, who often struggle to find accurate and available parts from general auto parts stores.
  • Availability of Used Parts: Offering used parts is a major advantage for classic vehicle restoration, as original used components often provide better fitment or "patina" compared to new reproductions, and can be more cost-effective.
  • Potential for Good Prices: An older review mentioned "GREAT prices," suggesting that for the right parts, they might offer competitive value, especially for hard-to-find vintage items.
  • Knowledgeable Staff (Historically): Past positive feedback indicated a knowledgeable individual ("Chuck") who provided personalized assistance. The presence of specialized expertise is crucial for a niche auto parts business.

However, it is critical to also address the reported weaknesses:

  • Poor Communication: Recent reviews critically highlight a lack of responsiveness via phone and email, and a failure to ship ordered parts, which is a major concern for customer trust and reliability.
  • Inconsistent Operating Hours: The discrepancy between advertised and actual operating hours, leading to wasted travel for customers, indicates a significant operational challenge that impacts customer experience.
  • Shipping Issues: The report of parts ordered but never shipped suggests potential issues with order fulfillment and logistics.
Promotional Information

Given the reported challenges, promotional information from Truck Haven, Inc. would ideally address these concerns directly, or at least provide very clear guidance to customers. Based on typical practices for auto parts stores, and considering their specific challenges, potential promotional aspects might include (though not currently evidenced by recent reviews):

  • Clear Inventory Listing: For a specialty parts dealer, an up-to-date online inventory or a readily accessible catalog would be a significant advantage, allowing customers to confirm part availability before traveling or ordering.
  • **"By Appointment Only" or Confirmed Hours:** Given the reported issues with inconsistent hours, clear communication about their operating schedule, or even moving to an "appointment only" system, could help manage customer expectations.
  • Emphasis on In-Person Transactions: If online ordering and shipping are problematic, encouraging local customers to visit in person (after confirming hours) might be a more reliable approach.
  • Showcasing Unique Finds: Highlighting rare or unique used parts through social media or a blog could attract enthusiasts.
  • Customer Service Pledge: A strong public commitment to improving communication and order fulfillment would be crucial for rebuilding trust given the recent negative feedback.

In conclusion, Truck Haven, Inc. offers a valuable, specialized service for owners of 1967-72 Chevrolet and GMC trucks, providing both new and used parts that are often difficult to source elsewhere. However, prospective customers are strongly advised to exercise caution and contact the store directly at (931) 205-5926 or +1 931-205-5926 before visiting or placing an order to verify current operating hours, part availability, and to confirm their ability to fulfill orders reliably. This proactive approach will help manage expectations and ensure a more positive experience with this unique auto parts provider in Unionville, TN.

Truck Haven, Inc. Customer Reviews

Ordered parts, they never shipped. No one will call or email me back. They never answer the phone. I should've read the other reviews before ordering.

Need to change your hours on Google. It say it was updated 1 week ago to be open by 9 on Mondays. We drove 3 hours and planned on buying a new bed and alot of other new sheet metal to be told we are not open on Mondays. I'm all about supporting the little man but I could have saved my time and gas money and stayed at home and ordered it

I ordered radiator brackets 2 months ago and have not received them, my money hasn't been refunded and they won't answer the phone

Ordered in stock parts 2/3/23 No tracking as of 2/9/23 Made multiple attempts to contact them, all ignored. After a PayPal dispute, I was issued a refund. Zero communication, horrible customer service skills. Order elsewhere.

Placed order in January 2023. As of middle of April no part, no refund and no response to emails and phone calls. Fortunately I only lost about $40. I don’t recommend getting parts from them.
