Tony & Son Auto Repair Introduce

For residents in and around the Rising Sun Avenue area of Philadelphia, **Tony & Son Auto Repair** has been a presence within the "Auto Repair Stations" category for over 15 years. Located at **5700 Rising Sun Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19120, USA**, this establishment aims to provide automotive repair and maintenance services to the local community. Their contact numbers, **(215) 904-7229** and **+1 215-904-7229**, offer direct communication for scheduling appointments or inquiring about services. As a family-run business, Tony & Son Auto Repair appears to prioritize a personal approach in their interactions with customers.

The environment at Tony & Son Auto Repair, typical of a well-established local garage, would likely be functional and focused on the mechanics of vehicle repair. As a family-run business operating for over a decade and a half, it would have the familiar, perhaps unpretentious, feel of a neighborhood shop. The primary space would be dedicated to the service bays, equipped for various automotive tasks. The waiting area, while not extensively described, would serve as a point of contact between customers and the friendly staff. The emphasis would be on efficient workflow to handle a steady stream of local clientele. The overall atmosphere would likely be one of accessibility and straightforward communication, consistent with a business that has maintained its local presence for many years through direct customer relationships.

As an "Auto Repair Station," Tony & Son Auto Repair offers a range of services essential for vehicle upkeep and repair. Based on the provided customer feedback, these services include:

  • Vehicle Diagnostics: Customers bring their cars in for diagnostic assessments of issues, indicating the shop's capability to identify problems with vehicle systems.
  • General Repairs: While specific repairs aren't detailed, the context implies they perform common automotive fixes necessary to address diagnosed problems.
  • Routine Maintenance: It is standard for auto repair shops of this type to handle routine services such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and general inspections to ensure vehicle longevity and performance.
The shop's long tenure suggests they are equipped to handle a variety of common mechanical issues for different makes and models, catering to the everyday needs of vehicle owners in their vicinity.

The features of Tony & Son Auto Repair are highlighted by contrasting customer experiences. On one hand, the shop is praised for its **"Great service, great people, nice friendly family, and reasonable prices."** The longevity of the business, with customers stating they've "been going since they opened over 15yrs," speaks volumes about their ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships. This suggests a consistent positive experience for a segment of their clientele, emphasizing their friendliness and fair pricing. The "family" aspect implies a personal touch and a commitment to building community rapport. On the other hand, a specific customer experience raises a point of concern regarding **diagnostic accuracy**. This particular review details a misdiagnosis of an airbox issue when the actual problem was a MAF sensor, leading to unnecessary part acquisition and personal troubleshooting by the customer. This highlights that while customer service and pricing may be strong features for many, the technical diagnostic accuracy can vary, as with any repair facility. For a business that has been open for 15 years, it is common to see a mix of experiences, and the ability to foster long-term loyalty through positive interactions and reasonable prices is a significant feature.

Regarding promotional information, Tony & Son Auto Repair appears to rely heavily on its **long-standing presence and word-of-mouth referrals** within the local community. The fact that customers have been loyal for over 15 years is the most powerful form of promotion, indicating a strong reputation built on consistent service for many. The positive feedback about "great service, great people, nice friendly family, and reasonable prices" serves as an organic endorsement, likely attracting new customers who seek a trusted, local alternative to larger chains. While specific advertising campaigns are not provided in the information, the anecdotal evidence suggests that their family-friendly approach and perceived fair pricing are key drivers for customer retention and acquisition. The ability to establish a loyal customer base over such a significant period is a testament to their effective, albeit indirect, promotional strategy rooted in customer satisfaction and community ties. Potential customers are likely to find them through local recommendations or their visible location on Rising Sun Avenue.

Tony & Son Auto Repair Customer Reviews

Got a diagnostic on my 97 max ($90) was told I need to replace airbox, $350 for just the part ok fine. When taking off the current one I inspected it seen no cracks etc but said hey I’m not a mechanic maybe this guy knows something. Went ahead got the new one installed it myself only to have the same issue, extremely disappointed because I wanted him to be right, but it honestly felt like he was just trying to scare me off with the price and didn’t expect me to buy the part. Ended up doing a weeks work of research and reading again I am not a mechanic, but i found the problem was my Maf sensor, $45 for the part and installed myself. My car no longer stalls, and I had to return the airbox to Nissan. Thanks I guess.

This shop is a ripoff. They charge $100 dollars for 5 minutes to look and do nothing. They just try to get your money with wrong diagnose and make thing up. . They know nothing about auto mechanics. They don't speak well English. They replace OEM parts with cheap parts and over charge. The problem is still on. Bring the car back for service. They replaced more parts and charged more money. The problem is still on. I gave up and brought to the dealer. They dealer said the previous shop doesn't know about car and replace the wrong parts. They fix the problem with just $100 dollars, and tell me never go back to that shop again. I learn a hard lesson and lost thousands of dollar. I want to share this lesson to everyone so you don't have to go through this headage like me. Stay away from this shop. They scam and rip you off.

Been taking my Armada here for years, Tony and his wife are great, friendly, honorable people. He once let me park my box truck on his lot until he installed a new engine for it. Just an all around good guy and his teams work is excellent. Reliable and trustworthy, they don't price gouge or overcharge.
