Tire & Muffler USA Inc. Introduce

Tire & Muffler USA Inc., located at 1117 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160, USA, functions as an Auto Repair Station aiming to provide various automotive services and goods. As with any service-oriented business, understanding customer experiences can offer valuable insights into its operations and reputation within the local community. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on available public feedback, encompassing aspects of its environment, services, features, and promotional information, as reflected in customer reviews.

Environment and Customer Experience

Based on customer reviews, the overall environment and customer experience at Tire & Muffler USA Inc. appear to be a point of significant concern for some patrons. One reviewer explicitly states, "The service is not great" and describes the "Lady at the front desk is rude. She needs to get replaced." This feedback suggests that the initial point of contact and customer reception may contribute to a negative experience. Another review mentions a prolonged waiting time, with a tire change taking "seven hours," which indicates potential issues with efficiency and customer flow within the service environment. Such lengthy waits and reported rudeness can significantly detract from the overall perceived professionalism and comfort of the establishment, creating a less than ideal atmosphere for customers seeking timely and pleasant service.

Services and Goods Offered

As an "Auto Repair Station" with "Tire & Muffler" in its name, it can be inferred that Tire & Muffler USA Inc. primarily offers services and goods related to these specific automotive components, alongside other general maintenance. Based on the customer reviews, the services provided include:

  • Tire Sales and Replacement: Customers specifically mention getting "new tires," indicating the sale and installation of various types of vehicle tires.
  • Wheel Alignment: The service of "an alignment" for a vehicle is noted, suggesting they provide adjustments to ensure wheels are properly aligned, crucial for tire longevity and vehicle handling.
  • Oil Changes: A basic but essential maintenance service, "an oil change," is also mentioned as a service they perform.
  • Muffler and Exhaust Services: While not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, the company name "Tire & Muffler USA Inc." strongly implies that they also offer repair, replacement, or inspection services for vehicle exhaust systems and mufflers.

Beyond these, a general auto repair station would typically offer other routine maintenance and minor repair services. However, the available reviews focus on the execution and outcome of the mentioned services rather than an exhaustive list of all available offerings.

Features and Perceived Quality

The features of Tire & Muffler USA Inc., as perceived by customers, are largely characterized by concerns regarding the quality of work, diagnostic accuracy, and care taken during service. Several points are highlighted:

  • Inconsistent Service Quality: A recurring theme is that customers "always come back with another problem" after service, and that the quality of work "is not great." This suggests a lack of consistency in repairs and potentially, a failure to correctly diagnose or fix underlying issues.
  • Diagnostic Accuracy Issues: One detailed review points out that a car was "still pulling to the right" after a new alignment, which was later confirmed by an external mechanic to be improperly done. There's also a serious allegation of misdiagnosis, where the shop allegedly tried to sell a "mass airflow sensor" when the actual issue was a "boot off the turbo," implying either incompetence or an attempt to sell unnecessary repairs.
  • Carelessness: A significant concern is raised regarding carelessness, exemplified by a "busted radiator that cost me over $1000 to fix" after an oil change. This specific incident, if accurate, points to serious issues with procedural diligence and attention to detail during routine services.
  • Customer Service Issues: As noted, the reported rudeness of front desk staff is a notable negative feature, impacting the overall customer interaction.
  • Long Waiting Times: The "seven hours to change four tires" indicates a significant lack of operational efficiency, which can be a major deterrent for customers seeking prompt service.

The highly critical nature of these reviews, especially the claims of "shady stuff to cars to get business," suggests significant areas for improvement in service delivery, quality control, and customer relations. The strong recommendation to "do not go up there" from an experienced mechanic who is "out of the mechanic business" carries particular weight, as it comes from a place of professional understanding and without personal gain.

Promotional Information (As Perceived by Customers)

Based on the provided customer feedback, there is no explicit positive promotional information or marketing efforts mentioned. Instead, the reviews act as a cautionary note, which, while not traditional promotion, serves to inform potential customers about past experiences. The negative testimonials themselves effectively convey a "do not go" message, which, ironically, functions as a form of anti-promotion. The absence of positive statements regarding fairness, efficiency, or quality implies that such aspects are not consistently experienced or highlighted by customers. Any "promotional" aspect would inadvertently be linked to the negative accounts, such as the perceived attempt to upsell unnecessary repairs, which is highly detrimental to customer trust and loyalty. For those considering this establishment, the reviews suggest a need for extreme caution and perhaps a direct consultation about the specifics of their service process and guarantees, if any, before committing to repairs.

In summary, Tire & Muffler USA Inc. at 1117 N Main St, Shelbyville, TN 37160, USA, as an Auto Repair Station, has received concerning customer feedback regarding service quality, diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer interaction. While it offers standard automotive services such as tire replacement, alignment, and oil changes, the strong negative sentiment in available reviews highlights potential issues that prospective customers should consider before utilizing their services. Individuals are encouraged to conduct their own thorough research and exercise caution when considering this establishment for their automotive needs.

The threetimes I’ve taken my car. I always come back with another problem. The service is not great. The Lady at the front desk is rude. She needs to get replaced. It took them seven hours to change four tires. Last time I went, I went to get an oil change and left with a busted radiator that cost me over $1000 to fix I just think they’re careless ..

My mother went up there to get new and an alignment for 900. The car was pulling to the right before she got the new tires. With the new tires and an alignment it was still pulling to the right and you don't have to be a mechanic like me to go they didn't line it up then like they said. She took it back to them and they said it might be the rack and pinion for 500 labor this and that. I said no mom it isn't lined up and I drove it I don't have an alignment machine so I talked her into taking it to someone else I know that does and they said no it's not anywhere close to aligned and now no pull to the right and is aligned. They are starting to get shady up there at tire and muffler. A couple months before that she had them do something and the boot was off the turbo and I know from experience that just doesn't pop off by itself. Thank goodness she brought it to me and I scanned it and found it or they would have tried to sell her a mass airflow sensor that is perfectly fine. They are literally doing shady stuff to cars to get business do not go up there . I am out of the mechanic business so I'm not saying this to get business my working on cars and hurting my hands is over with unless it's for a family member.

My whole experience here has been God awful. I brought my mustang here about two years ago to get the muffler fix. It came out great, people were kind and honest. And I really respected that because it’s hard to find good mechanics. My boyfriends car had a fuel pump going bad so I recommend him to this place. Horrible mistake. I don’t know if they’ve gotten different mechanics now or what, but they don’t have a lick of sense what they are doing. We’ve had to come back 3 times !! Cause each time they always would put in a bad fuel pump. And I’m not saying that just to say that, they literally told us they put in a bad fuel pump. The first time after we got the car back the car made a bad loud whining noise coming from the back and after a few weeks the whole car shut off!! We had to call a tow truck to come hall it back to the shop. And when we got it back they told us they had put in a bad fuel pump in it!! We payed over 600 for a company to give use a bad fuel pump!! And that’s not where it ends there. After receiving the car a second time it still made that God awful bad whining noise and not even that they broke the handle off the latch to open the hood. Literally just left it broken with out contacting us telling us about it, just handed it back broken. When I called to tell them that it was still making the noise it did in the beginning the mechanic literally told me that it wasn’t true!! That they never heard the noise!! When you start the car the noise immediately starts going, which tells me they are either lying or they never started the car when we had it there in the shop to check if they fixed the problem. So whenever I took it back for the third time I made a mechanic go out there with me to listen to it. And that’s when he admitted that he could hear it clear as day and it sounded like a bad fuel pump. So what I’m getting from this is that not once not twice but 3 time they put in a bad fuel pump?? I’m paying 600 for a bad fuel pump?? So when I received it for the final time after it still makes the bad whining noise and now there’s a huge slice in the drivers seat, as if someone got a knife and sliced open the seat!! And would you believe if I told you they never told us about it. Never call and apologized or gave us a reason about how it happened just sent it back like that. How unprofessional. So I went up there to complain to get my car fixed and the woman receptionist told me she’d give me a call to get everything fixed the latch and the seat… it’s been over a week and never got a call. I have been going back-and-forth with this place trying to get his car fixed and I also feel like it’s my responsibility to get it all fixed since I recommended him to this place. Which was the worst mistake. I wanted to know if I was the only one having problems with this place and whenever I check the comments, it seems like a lot of other people are having the same problem I’m having. Which I get it now this place is not professional or trustworthy. I’m so glad I never brought my mustang back here, but I’m also upset that I recommend him to this place and now his car is messed up. If I don’t get his car back to how it should be with fixing the damages and the noise I will unfortunately have to make a small claim and call my attorney to take it to court to get my money back and have it take it to a new mechanic. Highly highly suggest not coming here if you love your car.

I shopped around for a good price on brake and rotor replacement, and they were one of the best. They fixed everything for me the same day in under a couple of hours despite being very busy. The brakes have been doing great so far. Seems like a trustworthy place that gives you a very reasonable price.

Well, it's a long story. Used tire buyer, and they shipped the tires to this place. I had went the morning the tires were supposed to be delivered, told the guy we were leaving for Florida in the morning and needed to get a tire before I went. He told me they mite come in this afternoon to be patient and they would let me know. Never did hear from them so I went and got a used tire, this was on a Thursday, that Monday, I looked at my email, and seen they were delivered, not me upset, but hey no biggie, never did hear from them saying they had my tires, so I called on Wednesday to see if I could get them put on, and a alignment as well, Made an appointment for Friday at 10 to put the tires on and 11 for the alignment, so it would be ready at 12, drop it off, go get something to eat, come back at 12, just for them to tell me it would be another few hours before they could do the alignment, I couldn't waist my day, I had to go to work. But if they would've let me known at 11, that they couldn't do the alignment I could've gotten it done somewhere else. I get ready to leave guy pulls it up, and says oh by the way your tire light is on, I ask him what was the deal with it, because it wasnt on when I pulled in here? He said I'm just a laborer, but if you need to get it looked at they could put it on the machine, but it would cost money. By this time I'm upset, I tell him no it ain't, he said I needed to talk to the guy at the desk, so 30 mins later, after i tell the guy what i need, Thank you Google, another guy comes out and fixes it. So now I'm at 3 hours just to get 4 tires put on, which is why I made an appointment in the first place to avoid. I will not return..
