Tigre Auto Repair Inc. Introduce

Tigre Auto Repair Inc., located at 1230 Montauk Hwy, Oakdale, NY 11769, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, providing a range of services aimed at diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles for the local community. The establishment presents a mixed perception through online reviews, indicating both highly positive outcomes for specific customer experiences and significantly negative accounts of service and conduct. This dual nature is crucial for prospective customers to understand when considering Tigre Auto Repair Inc. for their automotive needs.

The environment at Tigre Auto Repair Inc., based on the provided customer feedback, appears to be a functional garage setting, typical of an auto repair station. However, the presence of a "big yellow metal guard rail in their parking lot" where a customer's car was allegedly damaged suggests an operational environment where incidents can occur. While a professional repair shop aims for a clean and organized space, the narrative of the negative review hints at potential issues with vehicle handling and accountability within the facility. Conversely, the positive review, which praises efficiency and competence, implies that for certain services, the environment is conducive to quick and effective work. The overall atmosphere, therefore, seems to be highly dependent on the individual experience and the specific technicians involved.

Tigre Auto Repair Inc. offers a variety of automotive repair services. Based on the reviews, these services include complex diagnostic work and repairs, such as addressing issues with fuel pumps and resolving problems that prevent a vehicle from passing inspection. The positive review highlights their ability to "quickly ran a scan and shared that he could get the car going and passing inspection with some repair," suggesting capabilities in vehicle diagnostics and ensuring roadworthiness. The negative review, despite its criticisms, also points to their attempt (albeit problematic) to replace a fuel pump and potentially address sensor issues. This indicates that they handle critical engine and fuel system components. While not explicitly stated, a general auto repair station would also typically provide routine maintenance like oil changes, brake services, and general tune-ups. The range of services appears to cover fundamental mechanical issues affecting vehicle operation and compliance.

The features of Tigre Auto Repair Inc. are characterized by stark contrasts. On the positive side, a key feature is the **diagnostic competence and problem-solving ability** of certain individuals, specifically William. A customer reported that after being told by another mechanic to scrap their vehicle due to a "huge list of repairs," William was able to "quickly ran a scan and shared that he could get the car going and passing inspection with some repair," at "far more reasonable" costs and within 48 hours. This demonstrates a feature of honest assessment, cost-effectiveness, and efficient completion of work. The customer's appreciation for "the honesty and commitment to getting the job done right" underscores a highly positive and trustworthy experience, leading to a strong recommendation and intent to return.

However, an equally prominent, and severely negative, feature is the alleged **dishonesty, overcharging, poor workmanship, and property damage** described in the other review. This customer alleges being "ripped off" for a fuel pump replacement ($1300 compared to a later $500 for the same job elsewhere), having their car "backed up into the big yellow metal guard rail" resulting in a cracked bumper and yellow paint transfer, receiving a new fuel pump that seemingly didn't work and required further (and incorrect) parts, and suspecting that a new part wasn't even installed initially. The accusations of unprofessional conduct, such as an employee "staring at me real funny" and waiting for the customer to notice the damage, and the feeling of being "ripping single mothers off," paint a picture of highly unethical practices and a complete lack of accountability. This conflicting feedback points to a significant inconsistency in the quality of service, transparency, and customer care provided by the establishment.

Regarding promotional information, no specific, time-limited promotional offers are detailed in the provided reviews. The business would naturally benefit from the positive word-of-mouth generated by satisfied customers like the one who praised William's honesty, reasonable prices, and quick turnaround, stating they "will be back and recommend Tigre auto." This type of testimonial is invaluable. However, the severe negative review, explicitly stating "I’ll never go to them ever again" and advising against doing business there, would significantly counteract any positive promotional efforts. For a business with such polarizing feedback, potential customers would rely heavily on independent verification and direct inquiry. Customers interested in using Tigre Auto Repair Inc. for their services are advised to contact them directly at (631) 624-1336 or +1 631-624-1336 to discuss their specific needs, obtain quotes, and potentially inquire about any guarantees or warranties on their work. Given the stark contrast in experiences, exercising caution and thorough due diligence, perhaps by speaking to the mechanic directly about concerns, would be prudent.

In conclusion, Tigre Auto Repair Inc. at 1230 Montauk Hwy, Oakdale, NY, is an "Auto Repair Station" that presents a highly varied customer experience. While some customers, like the one who found success with William, praise the shop for its honest diagnostics, reasonable pricing, and efficient repairs, indicating a feature of genuine automotive problem-solving, others have reported extremely negative experiences involving alleged overcharging, unprofessional conduct, damage to vehicles, and ineffective repairs. The services include general auto repair and diagnostics, but the reliability and quality of these services appear to be inconsistent. There is no specific promotional information provided, but the reputation is heavily influenced by these contrasting public testimonials. Prospective customers are urged to weigh these diverse experiences carefully when considering Tigre Auto Repair Inc. for their vehicle maintenance and repair needs.

Tigre Auto Repair Inc. Customer Reviews

I’ll never go to them ever again not only did they back my car up into the big yellow metal guard rail in their parking lot and crack the bumper on my Mercedes but also charged me $1300 for a fuel pump. They had my car for a week when I finally got it back the very next day same exact problem, bought the car back they said it was the sensor “ this supposed brand new fuel pump didn’t come with a sensor🤯”. They didn’t put it in the fuel pump so you’re telling me the brand new fuel pump didn’t come with the sensor again they have my car for a few days. I finally come back crying in tears telling them this is the only vehicle I have. I waited there for about six hours. Finally the part comes in. It’s the wrong part😡😡😡. I don’t think they even put a new fuel pump in to begin with. I think they cleaned the fuel pump out hoping that would do the job and charged me for a new one then when they realized That it didn’t work, they finally ordered me one like they should’ve done in the first place doesn’t matter I was so aggravated. I told them I don’t care if it’s the wrong fuel pump just put the damn part in m,, years later on the same car I got the same exact job done for $500 at Gabe’s auto in mastic Beach. They had my car for a day and a half. I really hate to write bad reviews, but between them overcharging me and cracking the bumper on my Mercedes. There was yellow paint on my bumper and it was cracked. That was them. I’m really disappointed in places like this. You guys need to do better for your customers. It’s not right ripping single mothers off and having your employees back their vehicles into guard rails, the funny thing is when I went to pick up my car. One of the employees were looking at me real funny and once I seen the bumper on my car, that’s when it hit me. That’s why he was staring at me like that because he was waiting for me to notice the yellow paint with the crack on my bumper I’ll never come back to this place ever again. I hope other people have a better experience than I did, ripping people off to make quick money it’s not really the way to go. Someone else had a bad experience at this place that I know too. I wish I would’ve known about it before I went there.

I couldn't be happier with the experience here. After going to my regular mechanic and being given the option of a huge list of repairs or scrapping the vehicle, I came to Tigre. William quickly ran a scan and shared that he could get the car going and passing inspection with some repair. The repairs and costs presented were far more reasonable than the mechanic that I had been going to for the last 10 years. I was a bit skeptical and waiting for the "add-on" repairs. That did not happen. In fact, within 48 hours all that was promised was completed. Instead of having to buy a new vehicle, the family van lives to drive another day. I appreciate the honesty and commitment to getting the job done right. I will be back and recommend Tigre auto.

I originally went here for an inspection, I drove in, no appointment waited 15 minutes and within 40 minutes, I was on my way out. Next time I needed an oil change, Stopped in at 5:30 pm, they close at 6 pm. Owner asked me to come back tomorrow at 9am. I was way late the next day. I showed up at 12:15 pm. He still accommodated me, squeezed me in and I was out by 1:15. I was charged a fair price for both times. Much less than Toyota wanted to rob me of. I had minor damage done to my car. A fender bender, person took off. They also do bodywork repairs. I had 3 estimates done, all 3 were way overpriced! Decided to give them a try. I wound up getting more work done than my 3 estimates. And it was still a much better price! All I asked for was a fair price! I was told to bring it in 3 days later. I was told they needed 3 days to complete the work. And in 3 days my work was completed. After inspection, I was very satisfied. Paid my bill and was on my way! If you are looking for reputable place for Auto and Body repair work, I would highly recommend this place! Please stop in or call to set up an appointment. They are usually quite busy, and now I totally understand why.. Becuse you are treated like a customer, and they woud like you to become their next customer. And yes, you will also Understand, and see WHY, they are busy! They want your business! And they are willing to earn it the old fashion way! Come see for yourself! Sì Hablar Español.

Went in this morning and spoke with the people working-(I thought that I had a slow tire leak that needed to be plugged) they immediately started working on my car. They discovered it wasn’t a leak, but it was actually a crack in the rims! Sheesh. Anyhow , I thought I was gonna have to leave it there, but to my surprise, they called me two hours later and had it welded up. The price was reasonable and I couldn’t be happier. I’m really glad these guys came into town. 🙏 highly recommend
