Staf Orton Automotive Inc Introduce

Staf Orton Automotive Inc, located at 1144 College St, Clarksville, TN 37040, operates as a unique establishment within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, functioning not only as a service center but also as a used car dealership. This dual business model provides local users with access to both vehicle sales and subsequent automotive repair and maintenance services, offering a comprehensive solution for those looking to purchase a used car and keep it running smoothly.

The environment at Staf Orton Automotive Inc encompasses both a car sales lot and a repair shop. As a dealership, the front-facing environment would involve a display area for used vehicles, potentially a sales office for discussions about purchases and financing, and a customer service area. The repair shop component would feature bays for vehicle maintenance and repair, equipped with the necessary tools and diagnostic equipment. The overall atmosphere, as suggested by customer reviews, can vary depending on the specific service. The mention of **Micky** as a "real nice guy" suggests a friendly and helpful approach on the sales side, aiming to facilitate vehicle acquisition, especially for those with unique financial situations. However, the feedback regarding the repair service points to potential challenges in communication and timeliness, which can impact the overall customer experience in that specific area. The location on College Street indicates a presence within a commercial area, making it accessible for local residents in Clarksville.

Staf Orton Automotive Inc provides two primary categories of services:

  • **Used Car Sales:** They offer a selection of pre-owned vehicles for purchase. A significant feature highlighted by a customer is their willingness to assist individuals with **no credit** or those new to financing, helping them navigate the process to secure a car. This inclusive approach to sales can be a valuable resource for a segment of the local population. They aim to sell "good running car," indicating a focus on providing operable vehicles to their customers.
  • **Automotive Repair and Maintenance:** Following the sale, or for other vehicles, they provide in-house mechanic services. This includes addressing various mechanical issues that vehicles may experience. One customer's experience indicates that the shop is willing to address problems that arise even shortly after a car has been purchased from their lot, showcasing a post-sale commitment to their vehicles, at least initially. They handle engine issues and other general repairs, providing the necessary labor and expertise to get vehicles back in working order.

Several features distinguish Staf Orton Automotive Inc, though customer experiences offer a mixed perspective. On the sales front, a key feature is their **flexibility and assistance with financing**, particularly for individuals with no credit history. This can be a crucial service for those who might otherwise struggle to obtain a vehicle. The positive interaction with **Micky**, described as a "real nice guy," indicates a customer-friendly sales process that builds rapport and trust at the point of sale. The willingness to address a "small problem" on a recently purchased car, even after it left the lot, demonstrates a degree of initial accountability and customer support from the sales side of the business.

However, the features related to the **repair service** present a contrasting picture. A significant concern raised by a customer was the **lack of timely communication** regarding the status of their car, describing it as "like pulling teeth to get called back." This suggests a potential area for improvement in their customer service on the repair side. Furthermore, the lengthy repair time, with a car held for "about three-months," indicates possible inefficiencies or challenges in diagnosing and repairing complex issues. The customer's assertion that **Staf "simply could care less about what happens with the car after the deal is complete"** implies a perceived disconnect between the sales experience and the subsequent repair service, particularly concerning long-term vehicle reliability for cars sold from their lot. The ultimate diagnosis of a "lemon" car needing a new engine after extensive time at their shop, following a purchase from them, raises concerns about the quality assessment of vehicles acquired at auctions before they are sold, and the efficacy of their post-sale mechanical support for significant issues.

Regarding promotional information, Staf Orton Automotive Inc primarily promotes itself through its dual offering of used car sales and repair services. Their ability to assist customers with no credit can be a significant draw for a specific demographic. The positive experience with the sales process, as highlighted by one customer, along with the initial willingness to address post-purchase issues, serves as a form of word-of-mouth promotion for their sales department. However, the negative review regarding the repair side, particularly concerning the quality of sold vehicles and subsequent repair challenges, acts as a counter-promotion, urging potential buyers to exercise caution ("Buyers beware shady dealership......."). The phone numbers, (931) 648-0441 and +1 931-648-0441, are the direct means for local users to inquire about their current inventory, financing options, or schedule repair services. It is advisable for prospective customers to perform their due diligence, especially for vehicle purchases, by considering independent pre-purchase inspections, given the mixed reviews about the quality of vehicles sold and the subsequent repair experiences.

In conclusion, Staf Orton Automotive Inc in Clarksville, TN, offers a two-pronged service model, providing both used car sales and auto repair services. While they demonstrate strengths in assisting customers with financing and providing initial post-sale support for minor issues, particularly through helpful sales staff like Micky, there are notable concerns regarding the communication, timeliness, and perceived commitment to long-term vehicle reliability in their repair department, especially for cars sold from their own lot. Local users considering Staf Orton Automotive Inc should weigh both the reported positive aspects of their sales process against the cautionary feedback concerning their repair services and the long-term reliability of vehicles purchased.

Staf Orton Automotive Inc Customer Reviews

Bought a car from here a few weeks ago. It's a good running car. I had no credit and this was my first time needing to go through a finance company, but they helped me out. Micky is a real nice guy. I was even able to take the car back to the shop for a small problem I had and they were willing to fix it for me after i had already taken the car off the lot.

We bought a VW Jetta at this car dealership for $6,000.00 for my son and approximately 7-months later the car was having some engine issues. We took it to Staf to have his mechanic work on the car and that was a nightmare. They had the car for about three-months and it was like pulling teeth to get called back about the status of the car. I went to see Staf myself and he simply could care less about what happens with the car after the deal is complete. I would suggest to never purchase a car from this car lot because when he buys these cars at auctions he doesn’t know either what might be wrong with the vehicle or he just puts a band-aid on them temporarily in order to sell them. Buyers beware shady dealership.......end result was the car had to be towed to another repair shop and we were told it needs a new engine which would be about $4,000.00. Needless to say not worth fixing “lemon”

Instipped by when it said open. Well there was nobody in the office. Left said building a mechanic pulled up said oh he'll be here in a few minutes 1/2 hour later I just left. Finally was able to get there and fill out paperwork. Nothing good happened just a wasted day.

The vehicle was good, said they would take care of minor work on the vehicle within the 30 days (brakes) but when I went back to tell them that the brakes was bad, they tried to tell me that that's what the brakes suppose to feel like, I have a certified mechanic that works on all my vehicles, my mechanic checked the brakes out and said that I needed pads and rotors and they refuse to fix it, smh
