Serna Car Audio

Purchased Alpine 6.5 inch speakers as I had a day off to upgrade my speakers. I paid $150 for the pair and I knew this was high, but I wanted to shop local and of course wanted them quick. Got home and found that the speakers were actually used and one of the cones on one of the speakers was completely crushed. Speakers were not advertised as used, And package was in perfect condition. I followed up with the store the following day and they followed up promptly and offered to exchange for the same ones. I asked to return them because I didn’t want to get another pair that was used or defective (and I definitely didn’t want to pay $150 for something that I could get on eBay for $50-60). They denied my request and would not give me my money back. They were courteous and nice people so this was really a shame. I will probably stick with crutchfield or other online venues moving forward… so much for buying local! Buyer beware.

Great people. Great work. I had speaker issues on my truck that I didn’t know about and they got me taken care of and installed new speakers correctly. I will be back soon for subwoofers!

Installed a dual “10 subwoofer and amplifier in my 2019 Genesis G70 several months ago. I probably could have paid a little less elsewhere, but I felt I could trust Serna Audio to do a good job. They worked quickly and met my expectations. I recommend Serna.

Went there after talking to a man that told me that they charge $50 to $ 120 to install a backup camera. I had tried to install a backup camera with the help of a yTube video, was not able to get it to work. Everywhere else they quoted me between a $ 100 to $ 200 max. I arrived and the man told me $ 45 to check and see if I messed up the connections and if they needed to rewire it it would be $ 120. Guess what, it needed to be rewired. Then came the boss and he was talking to me in English as the first one spoke also English. I tried to get a better price and the boss told me that it would be $ 100 if they used my wires, which they complained were too thin (these were the ones used by manufacturer) and all new wires and it will work for $120.00. So, I grudged agreed and they destroyed my wires and cut into the ones I had installed, not all new wires as they claimed. Well, when they were finished 30 min later, the camera still did not work. The owner then got a woman out and a new set of wires, the same that I had installed and directly plugged it into the camera, bypassing the rear reverse light ( which they were supposed to have it working to trigger the camera) and the same cable worked? Guess, my thin wires were not the issue. The woman started to yell at me and I was supposed to now pay $ 270 as they would needed to rip all the old wire out and replace with this new one ( $ 8.00 at Amazon). When I stated that they were supposed to have done it in the first place, she claimed the people working were not speaking English well ( same level as she was) and it was a communication error. I informed her that I was getting this price for the new installation of wires for $ 120 from the boss/owner directly and he denied and she tried to convince me that he couldn't speak English. She insisted on $ 270 and while this was going on the other three men quicky removed they stuff off my car. I just drove off as I realized that these people had no clue how to install this and destroyed my wires and my wire protection covert in the process. These are Columbians that do not know anything about this issue and destroy your stuff in the process! Better go elsewhere to ensure that your noy double paying for your stuff! As a matter of fact you are distorting the truth! You never told me a new camera was in lauded, especially since you brought a new wire out,the same I had installed before you destroyed it and plugged it into my installed camera and the radio. Surprise, Surprise the rear view was visible! You are just a liar and should be honest with your customers telling them that you can fix it and end up destroying their equipment in the process.

Not a great experience but the staff was helpful and tried their best so I can't be mad about their effort. Came here because Alpine listed them as an authorized location on their website to verify if the amplifier I recently got had an issue internally. An issue that needed some actual technical troubleshooting work and validation on a proper installation. The tech was trying to be accommodating but then they wanted 40 upfront for a detailed inspection. Fair enough work isn't free. The inspection was pretty basic checking my work and wiring. I provided them a test tone CD to check the balance because that was the issue I was having but they didn't want to use it and only wanted to use the radio which I guess okay.. fair enough. Basically checked everything I already told them I checked. Then wanted 80 additional dollars to "mess with the settings and RCA cables and flip a switch on my amp that I already told them made zero difference. I told them no thank you They compared the manual like I did but misread certain sections about the channel mixing switches and told me sometimes the diagrams and manuals are wrong and you just use your ears. I paid them for my time and left after that. They had zero idea how the channel inputs worked when the outputs are being bridged and I find it kind of shocking two install techs do not understand that the front channels 1 and 2 can be copied to channel 3 and 4 then bridged to still be stereo and still retain proper stereo balance and separation. If the experience taught me anything it was to trust my gut instinct and try to RMA this amp.... I'm sure they can install standard systems just fine but anything beyond a simple install I'm not so sure about. Granted they didn't install my system so they may think I didn't do a good job even though they told me I did. And my install was by the books. Just felt like they didn't actually know the answer and I paid them 40 dollars for the pleasure of them poking around for 15 minutes.

These guys are EXCELLENT! They got me in quick, diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem in minutes!! They were upfront on the cost and the pricing was more than fair! I highly recommend them for any audio, camera or electrical system needs! John C
