Sam's Club Tire & Battery Introduce

Sam's Club Tire & Battery, located at 364 Cox Creek Pkwy, Florence, AL 35630, USA, operates within the broader category of Auto Repair Stations. This establishment is primarily focused on providing essential automotive services related to tires and batteries for its members. As part of the larger Sam's Club retail chain, it aims to offer competitive pricing on these common automotive maintenance needs.

The typical environment at a Sam's Club Tire & Battery center is often integrated within or adjacent to a main Sam's Club warehouse. This means customers can expect a utilitarian, no-frills setting, characteristic of a wholesale club. The waiting area, if separate, is usually functional, providing basic seating. It's common for customers to utilize their waiting time by shopping inside the main Sam's Club store, which can be a convenience for those with other errands to run. The service bays themselves are standard for an automotive repair facility, equipped with lifts and tools necessary for tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and battery installations. The overall atmosphere is generally busy, especially during peak hours, reflecting the volume of customers served by a large retail entity.

The core services offered at Sam's Club Tire & Battery revolve around their namesake: tires and batteries. For tires, this includes sales, installation, balancing, rotation, and flat tire repair, often for tires purchased directly from Sam's Club. They typically carry a range of popular tire brands to cater to various vehicle types and customer preferences. Regarding batteries, they provide battery sales and installation services, suitable for most passenger vehicles. These services are usually available to Sam's Club members, aligning with the membership-based model of the parent company. The aim is to offer a convenient, one-stop solution for these specific automotive needs, leveraging the bulk purchasing power of Sam's Club to potentially offer lower prices on products.

A notable feature of Sam's Club Tire & Battery, similar to other big-box retailers offering automotive services, is the potential for cost savings on products. Members often seek out these centers for the perceived value in purchasing tires and batteries. The convenience of having these services available while doing other shopping is another attractive aspect for many customers. However, it's important to consider that the customer experience can vary. Some feedback suggests challenges with aspects such as proper torque application for lug nuts and accurate tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) setup. For instance, one customer reported that lug nuts were overtightened to 150 ft-lbs, significantly exceeding the specified 84 ft-lbs, necessitating personal adjustment to avoid issues in case of a roadside flat. This highlights the importance of customers verifying work done, even at established service centers. Additionally, issues with correct tire inflation and TPMS calibration have been mentioned, indicating potential inconsistencies in service execution.

From a customer service perspective, some patrons have expressed difficulties in reaching the Sam's Club Tire & Battery department by phone. Challenges include being put on hold repeatedly, being transferred multiple times, or calls going unanswered. Reports of requests for call-backs not being fulfilled are also present. This suggests that while the services offered are essential, the accessibility for inquiries or appointments via phone may be a point of friction for some users. The phone number provided for this location is (256) 767-9960 or +1 256-767-9960, and prospective customers might need to be prepared for potential delays or persistence when attempting to connect. These operational aspects are critical for users considering Sam's Club Tire & Battery as their preferred auto service provider.

Regarding promotional information, Sam's Club frequently runs promotions on tires and batteries throughout the year, often tied to specific brands or seasonal needs. These promotions are typically advertised through Sam's Club's internal channels, such as their website, in-store signage, and member circulars. Members can often find deals like instant savings on tire purchases, special financing options, or bundled service packages. It is advisable for interested individuals to check the official Sam's Club website or visit the Florence location directly to inquire about current promotions on tires and batteries, as these offers can change frequently. While the reviews indicate some areas for improvement in service execution and customer communication, the fundamental appeal of Sam's Club Tire & Battery for many lies in the potential for competitive pricing on key automotive products within a familiar retail environment.

Sam's Club Tire & Battery Customer Reviews

They will put your tires on... you just might not be able to get them off again. I had tires put on my van, when I got it back, I looked at the sheet, and they said they put the lugs on at 150 ft-lbs. The spec is 84. I had to take my vehicle home and undo each with an impact wrench and retorque them. If I had a flat on the highway, I would have never been able to get them off and would have definitely broken some studs. They also didn't properly set the tire pressure monitoring system. After checking, one tire was not inflated properly. Some places have their stuff together. This place doesn't appear to be one of them.

It is very difficult to get anyone on the phone to check prices, check availability, set up an appointment, or ask a question of any sort. You will be repeatedly put on hold and transfered only to be placed on hold again, hing up on or ignored entirely. I had my name and number requested multiple times so that they may call me back. They never called at all. Customer service is not just bad, it is non existent.

Thrid appointment I've set up and guess what still a 3hour wait. What the sense in appointment if you have a 3 hour wait? I definitely understand sickness and not having enough help. But why cant they call customers and let them know what the situation is. I've drove 40 miles 3 times and still haven't got my tires routined. Should i try again ? I think not what about the extra money i paid to have a lifetime rotation on the tires i purshased from Sams .. need better management skills at this Sam's tire store..
