Going here for 6 years. The service is great. My 1994 corolla is still on the road because of their knowledge. It is good to do your own research too. Listen to the car for noises and how it preforms. Google it the advice may help. On parts you may need. If there is a diagnostic attachment under the hood this can help. They found wires in the distributor cap that was wired wrong. Now it runs like I'm riding on a cloud

I called S & I Auto Center on November 19 around 12 PM to inquire about wheel alignment for my Toyota Corolla. They quoted $80, and I politely asked if they could do $70. The person on the phone became extremely rude, saying, "Why don't you just say $5?" before abruptly hanging up. I was on my way to their shop but changed my mind. I got the alignment done elsewhere for $80. I will never go back to this place. Terrible customer service!

I've been coming here for years to get my inspections and oil changes done. They work on tires and shocks and stuff as well but I've never utilized their services in that regard. When I get my oil changes done, I always bring my own oil and filter so I just have to pay for the labor itself. With my previous car, I would pay $25 for the oil change. With my current car, I pay $35 for the oil change. I imagine the price fluctuates based on how easy it is to work on your car. From what I've seen, the prices here are actually pretty good as a certain place on Rockaway once charged me $60 to do an oil change even when I brought my own oil and filter, and that was 2 years ago so imagine the price now. What I really like about this place is that they never try to upsell me. If I go to certain shops or even the dealership, they start giving me the works about how my air filter is super dirty or my transmission fluid needs to be flushed. Here, they've never tried to hustle me. I go in, ask them to do a job on my car, they do it, I pay, that's it. I think more shops should acknowledge that trying to upsell your customers can turn them away from your business. That said, I can't speak for all of the auto shops on Rockaway but if you're looking for an honest shop in the area with pretty reasonable prices, I don't think it gets better than here. Knock on wood they've never stirred me wrong yet.
