Rt 52 Automotive Customer Reviews

I've taken my car here multiple times over the past year. In January of this year I took my vehicle in to have the tires changed and asked them to inspect it. Sadly, I needed work done on the front end which had been done the prior year but they said that the parts were bad. I still had to pay labor to have faulty parts replaced in my car. I asked them at that time to inspect it and they said that the brakes needed to be replaced. I made an appointment to have the brakes replaced and at that same time ask them to sticker my car. After fixing the brakes they decided at that point that the rear coil springs needed to be replaced. I began becoming suspicious at this point and took it to another garage who found nothing at all wrong with it. I was able to get it stickered without having to replace my rear coil springs which, guess what? They couldn't find locally so they were going to have to buy them directly from Ford. I will not go here again. I should have seen the writing on the wall after the second repair they said I needed.

Sparing a lot of details, I ended up taking my vehicle to Route 52 Automotive last year for a pretty significant amount of work. I'm talking thousands of dollars worth of work over the course of a few months. Gradually, the work got done and I was initially just glad that my vehicle was at least mostly driveable, however this soon proved to be a bit of a mistake. The result of the decision that I made to bring my vehicle here was that, in my opinion, my vehicle was left almost in a mechanically worse place than before it went in (which is a low bar), and pretty much all of that work had to be redone by a different garage. Look, I have no idea what's going on here, it's frankly not my business and I also just don't really care at this point- but the quality of work at this establishment is pitiful at best. It is, plain and simple, wrong (in my opinion) on so many levels that it's not even funny, to put out work so bad and to charge people so much when people's lives depend on their vehicles around here, and when the work that you do is so atrocious that not only is it costing them hard-earned money, but potentially also aspects of their livelihoods, freedom of mobility and in my case, at times my safety. Be forewarned: emphatically do not have ANY vehicle repairs done at this place. Don't even get an oil change here. I'll put it this way; if it's the middle of the night and you happen to break down right in front of this place and you think you've lucked out having broken down in front of a mechanics' garage- you haven't. Do yourself a favor and throw your car in neutral and coast to the nearest garage that is literally any other garage but this one.

I went in to get quoted a price for car repairs that I really needed in order to get home for the holidays. They took my money and told me they'd call me within "a few" days. Two weeks later and now they won't answer my calls. They basically just stole from me. At the very least, they could've contacted me to let me know that they wouldn't be able to do the repairs. That would have been the professional thing to do. Instead I've wasted time and money that I don't have. Really just very inconsiderate.

We got excellent, thorough fast service here for a fantastic price! They did excellent detective work when our car sensor indicated the wrong tire was low. Highly recommend!

Great prices and great communication. They take pride in their work. They are new, too. Gotta love supporting a startup that gives good service right out of the gate. I had autobody work done and they nailed it.
