I brought my Evo 8 to Kieth for an inspection and tune, Not only did he give my car the extra power I wanted, He also brought to my attention a few unknown issues with the car and addressed the problems. Definitely a great experience all across the board and will be returning in the future.

Aaron knows his stuff! Drove over an hour because I knew it was worth it. He was able to recommend the best performance parts for an NA application on a civic Si as well as tune it to perfection. The drivability of the car is insanely better and it will pull all the way to 7500. Thanks Aaron!

I first dropped my car off to pure tuning on 10/2/2024 for an issue that was causing my 2009 Subaru WRX to run rough. Keith took the car in and told me that he would first look at it on the week of 10/14-10/18 because they were getting maintenance on the building on the week of 10/7-10/12, which was fine with me, but he ended up finally inspecting the car on the 25th. Keith then told me that the car needed some work, which consisted of replacing my already new NGK iridium spark plugs, with the same exact ones but "gapped to spec" although they come pre gapped. Keith also put in a used OEM coil pack because one of mine had a clip that was broken, and he did a compression test, which came out great at 142+ PSI on all 4 cylinders. None of these fixes fixed my original issue of the car running rough, and to be frank, nothing changed at all after he did all of that work. I then called him a couple days before thanksgiving asking if he looked at the car at all by chance, which he then stated he has not, and the next time he could look at it was March (keep in mind, he told me he would look at the car in December the first time we dropped it off). This really frustrated me but I agreed since he originally told me December and gave him a bit more time to get back to me on any progress. January then came by, and I had not heard from him at all, so I decided to give Keith a call asking him if there was any progress on the car, and he ended up telling me the next time he can look at it was May (remember originally we agreed on December). Keith also said he has not made any progress on the car, and after hearing this, I told him my concerns on the time it’s taking for my car, as I have seen cars get flipped, with mine still sitting in the same spot. We ended that conversation with me wanting to pick the car up. Keith then told me he needed time to do paperwork before I can pick it up, which I quite frankly did not want to wait for after waiting about 4 months of nothing. Keith then started yelling saying he isn't going to stop the project he's working on to finish my paperwork, which then led to an argument with him screaming at me basically telling me how he isn't going to stop what he's doing for me. But, to be honest, Keith did call me back shortly after the argument saying the paperwork is ready, but I am guessing he only did that because he noticed dealing with his customers by yelling at them is not the right way to do things. Once I picked the car up, I called Japanese Auto and booked an appointment with them to figure out what’s going on with my car, and the only reason I did that was because Keith was taking way too long for an issue that didn’t need 4 months to be solved. I ended up paying Keith for the work he had done (which did not even relate to the actual issue we were having) and took the car to Japanese Auto. Japanese Auto ended up getting back to me the morning after I dropped the car off, and told me that it was the ECU that was not sending a pulse signal to cylinder 3. Japanese Auto sourced an ECU for me and installed it within a week, now the car runs smooth again, and will continue going back to them. I will never go back to PURE tuning because their egos are through the roof and they think they are the only "qualified" mechanics to work on these types of cars. If that was true, why didn't he test the electrical components first to make sure everything was up to par instead of having me waste my money on things I didn't need. 0/10 would not recommend, I wish there was no star rating to give these guys. Also wondering why he kept extending the deadline if he knew what he was doing? Most likely he was not able to figure out what was going on with the car, and let his ego get in the way. Japanese Auto figured the issue out in less than 12 hours since drop off. I was also forced to pay $500 for work that l did NOT relate to my issue whatsoever, but I had no option and that was the only way to get the car back he has no clue, since Japanese auto diagnosed the issue in no time, non of what he said was correct

I am very pleased with my experience at Pure Tuning.. They sent my shop a great selection of parts and an excellent break in tune for my build. Once it was time to dyno it, Keith did a great job tuning my Subaru. He knows what he is doing, we ran into a minor boost controller issue that he quickly diagnosed and fixed. The drive home today was awesome. If you need a performance shop and tuner for your Subaru or other import, Pure Tuning is it. Thanks again!

First learned about Pure Tuning in 2013 while in high school and ended up getting an up close look into the daily work of both Keith and Aaron for a senior project. Ever since they have been the performance tuning shop I turn to for my Subarus as their attention to detail is phenomenal. They not only offer an absurdly wide range of products but years of intimate knowledge of what they work with to back up their services. My most recent visit involved getting my 06 FXT tuned and it’s never felt as good to drive as now
