PSA Performance

5 Stars - if i could give 10 stars i would! We stopped by PSA Performance today to get an estimate on some bodywork for our 2019 WRX after hearing nothing but great things—and they did not disappoint! Derrick was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. He really knows his stuff and made us feel confident in choosing PSA for our repairs. We’re excited to move forward with this awesome company and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and excellent customer service!

Very happy with the paint job we received. Car looks like out of the factory again with that extra shine. Definitely worth the one hour drive time. PSA knows what they are doing and talking about. I don't know why they would get a bad review but there is two sides to every story. I've known Derrick before PSA and he is the same honest, hard-working guy that everyone else vouches for. Passionate crews are hard to come by these days. Thanks again Derrick. You have my blessing.

After seeing the review “don’t let Derek do your paint” I had to share my experience. I had around 7 year old vinyl stripes on my car. I tried to remove them myself but couldn’t even get a speck off. I talked to another shop and they wouldn’t even look at it. Took my car here and told them to do whatever they had to do. They sure chose to do the best because it looked like a brand new car afterwards. I know for a fact the task at hand was horrible but they did it with nothing but professionalism and honesty, even a fair price too. Here are some photos of before and after

Can’t say better things about psa they went above and beyond rebuilding my tired 2jz in my is300 getting it ready for boost! They also made it beautiful in the process! Quality professional work from the whole team

I had a terrible and deeply disappointing experience with Derrick at PSA Performance. I initially scheduled an appointment for my 2014 Q60s coupe to be tuned with EcuTek on February 22. When I dropped off my car, Derrick provided no information about what to expect or any estimate for the tuning process. My car was kept for nearly two weeks, and during that time, I reached out multiple times for updates. When I was able to get through, I received vague responses, including “you can come pick it up if you’d like.” When I finally picked up my car on March 5, I immediately noticed a flashing check engine light under light load and realized the EcuTek kit was missing. Apparently the kit isn’t included with the license or anything, something else he failed to explain from the jump.. Derrick blamed the issues on my spark plugs, which I had previously replaced in June after his earlier recommendation; the first time I had brought the car in to get checked. He then suggested I install new ignition coils, which I did with Z1 Motorsports high energy coil packs. After doing so, I continued to experience problems. I logged the issues and sent him the codes, but the only time responded, he did so with a dismissive question about my tire pressure. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach him by phone text and in person, I messaged him directly on Instagram, which finally got his attention. He suggested reflashing the tune file and reaching out to EcuTek for help, but didn’t offer any concrete plan, appointment or timeframe. On my third attempt to resolve the issues in person, my check engine light came on again and stayed on, throwing codes P2098 and P2096. Derrick reflashed the tune, but disabled my O2 sensors without consulting me first. This resulted in additional codes (P0139, P0159, P0137, P0157), further complicating the situation. Concerned about the ongoing issues, I took my car to Nissan for a diagnostic. Their findings were particularly alarming, as they pointed directly to the recent tune as the root cause of the problems. At this point, I lost confidence in Derrick's approach, which felt more like guesswork than professional tuning. While I understand that tuning can involve some trial and error, Derrick had my car for over two weeks and failed to provide any meaningful diagnostics or solutions. After seeking second opinions from other experienced VQ tuners, I learned that Derrick's mistakes were common oversights among less experienced tuners.. It took just one file through a remote tuning session with another professional to resolve the flashing check engine light, rough shifting, and all the diagnostic trouble codes that Derrick had left unresolved. Also despite my modifications, my car made stock power numbers at PSA: 277 hp and 229 ft-lbs of torque. After retuning with a more experienced VQ tuner, my car’s numbers improved significantly to 316 hp and 264 ft-lbs of torque. This experience was incredibly frustrating, time consuming, and costly. Given the amount I paid, I expected a much higher level of service and professionalism. I would NOT recommend PSA Performance based on my experience.
