PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision Introduce

PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision, located at 956 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11208, USA, is an "Auto Repair Station" that aims to provide a range of services for vehicle owners, from collision repair to general mechanical maintenance. The establishment's online presence, as reflected in customer reviews, presents a mixed bag of experiences, highlighting both areas of significant praise and considerable concern. This objective introduction will aim to provide a balanced view, based solely on the provided customer feedback, of what local users might expect when considering PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision for their automotive needs.

The environment at PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision appears to be a point of varied customer perception. On one hand, the positive review speaks of "love and care" in painting and "much love and respect to the people who work there," suggesting a friendly and attentive atmosphere, particularly in the auto body and cosmetic repair department. This implies that customers engaging for painting or body work may find a professional and caring approach. However, the negative review paints a different picture regarding the handling of mechanical repairs. The concern about a car being "left on Jamaica Ave for 3 straight days" without remedy, and the feeling of being "ripped off," suggests a lack of oversight or responsiveness in certain operational aspects. This contrast indicates that while some departments or individuals may excel, there might be inconsistencies in service delivery across the board. Typically, a reputable auto repair station aims for a clean, organized, and secure environment for all vehicles, with transparent communication channels for customers, regardless of the service being performed. The discrepancy in reviews suggests that this ideal might not always be consistently met for all types of services.

PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision offers a range of services that fall under the umbrella of an "Auto Repair Station," encompassing both mechanical repairs and specialized auto body work. Based on the provided reviews, the services include:

  • Brake System Repair: This includes the replacement of calipers, rotors, and brake pads, as detailed in the negative customer experience. Ideally, this would involve a complete and proper installation of all components for safety and performance.

  • Auto Body Painting: One customer specifically praised the shop for painting their car "with love and care," indicating a specialty in cosmetic repairs and high-quality paint application.

  • General Mechanical Services: While not explicitly detailed, the mention of brake work suggests that PROTOUCH also undertakes general mechanical repairs and maintenance that go beyond just collision work.

  • Collision Services: The name "Collision" in the business title indicates a focus on repairing vehicles after accidents, which typically involves bodywork, frame straightening, and paint services to restore the car's appearance and structural integrity.

The features of PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision, as extrapolated from the provided reviews, present a complex image. On the positive side, the shop is commended for its painting services, with a customer highlighting competitive pricing compared to other places and a sense of "love and care" in the work. This suggests a team dedicated to aesthetic quality and customer satisfaction in their auto body department. The phrase "Highly recommended" in this context points to strong workmanship for specific services. However, a significant feature, or rather a cautionary point, revealed by the negative review, is the potential for incomplete or fraudulent mechanical repairs. The customer's experience of only partial replacement of parts (1 of 4 calipers, 1 of 4 rotors, 2 of 4 brakes changed despite being quoted for all) raises serious concerns about transparency and integrity. This highlights a critical need for customers to be vigilant, with the suggested "word of advice" to "stay during the installation process and ask for your old part" as a crucial measure of proof. The lack of resolution for the issue, with the car being left unattended for days, points to potential deficiencies in customer service and accountability in certain repair scenarios. This contradictory feedback suggests that while some services, like painting, may be performed well, the mechanical repair aspect has faced significant criticism regarding honesty and follow-up.

Regarding promotional information, specific current promotions or discounts for PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision are not provided in the given information. Auto repair stations often use competitive pricing, especially for services like painting or routine maintenance, to attract customers. The positive review mentions that "other places tried to hit me over the head with expensive prices," implying that PROTOUCH offered more reasonable pricing for painting. This competitive pricing can act as a form of promotion. However, the negative experience regarding perceived overcharging for incomplete work overshadows any implied value in mechanical services. In the absence of explicit promotional details, potential customers should focus on the shop's areas of reported strength, such as auto body painting, and exercise caution with mechanical repairs. It is always advisable for customers to:

  • Request Detailed Estimates: Before any work begins, obtain a written, itemized estimate that clearly lists all parts and labor.

  • Inquire About Warranties: Understand the warranty policy on parts and labor.

  • Ask for Old Parts: As suggested by the disgruntled customer, requesting to see or retain old parts can verify that work was performed.

  • Seek Multiple Quotes: Especially for significant repairs, comparing estimates from several reputable shops can provide a benchmark for fair pricing and necessary work.

Given the mixed feedback, customers considering PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision should weigh the reported strengths in auto body painting against the serious concerns raised about mechanical repair transparency and follow-up. Direct communication with the shop at (347) 318-3131 or +1 347-318-3131 to discuss specific needs and clarify processes would be crucial before committing to any services.

PROTOUCH Auto Services & Collision Customer Reviews

Unfortunate Experience. I bought this car to do work around the city, its mechanically sounds, I went to Redline to change my 4 Calipers, 4 Rotors and my 4 Brakes. I was quotes $950. I told them I need this car to be safe so I didn't mind spending close to $1000. I got the car back then headed to a tire shop to install 4 my new continental tires. Once the tire shop removed the 4 tires, they showed my my brakes, rotors and calipers. they mentioned if I'm putting new tires, I should consider changing those items. I told them, what are you talking about, I just got them all changed. I was then demonstrated, that 1 of 4 calipers were changed, 1 of 4 rotors were changed and 2 of 4 brakes were changed. I feel ripped off since I had to pay an additional $900 to get the rest changed as it should have been by a more reputable mechanic, this just give this business a black eye. Word of advice, stay during the installation process and ask for you old part, this is the only way it can be proven work was done. In addition, I returned to the mechanics and left my car, they simply left it on Jamaica ave for 3 straight days and nothing was done to remedy the situation Such a shame And owner, you can look up Suzuki Reno in your database, it will be the only one since this car is not common in the area.

They painted my car with love and care when other places tried to hit me over the head with expensive prices. Much love and respect to the people who work there. Highly recommended.

Had to get the rear bumper and trunk fixed on my Toyota Corolla. They did an excellent job on it and did not keep it as long as I thought it would be to fix it. Everything was fine and looking like brand new, happy with the work.

I had my car door fixed here, their customer service skills are horrible. First they lied about replacing my door an the gave me the same old door just popped out mind you my insurance paid for a new door. When I noticed an took it back they apologized an replaced the door. only to brake my inside panel clips my stitching an the speaker on door. I was very upset an took my 2021 BMW 530 back to them an they refused to touch it anymore. If they didn't know how to deal with BMWs they should of never touched my car if you value your car do not take it here. They were also very rude an disrespectful. An when they buffed my door what ever chemical they used was sprayed on the back door. They said they would fix that an they never did. They not only damaged my car but they won't take responsibility for it either. So please don't take your car here. The owner told the lady to tell me he won't touch my car anymore because they touched it to many times already. My whole point is if they hald experienced people working on cars my car would of been fixed correctly the first time instead of them trying time get over on the insurance company an myself. 956 Jamaica ave Is the location I took it too. You guys damaged my car
