We had a positive first experience with Pinnacle. They handled our hybrid car's first annual inspection well. We were in and out of their shop in less than 2 hours with our sticker and a detailed report of services performed.The price was reasonable and they didn't try to upsell us. This is a drop off and pick up car repair place. We didn't see a place to hang out and wait while your car is serviced. Don't be put off by the shop's no-frills exterior. The mechanics and other stuff are friendly and know their stuff.

Great experience with my yearly inspection. I’ve been looking for a dependable place to take my car since moving into the city and I couldn’t be happier! Super smooth drop off process - in and out in 5 minutes - and they called me 2 hours later to let me know I was good to pick up. I was at work until 5 and they were willing to wait around for me to pick up late. Really great service! All of their routine prices are clearly posted in the main office so there were no surprises when it came time to pay. Tip - They operate on a residential street and need to park finished cars around the neighborhood block which has a 2 hour parking limit. Best to try and pick up ASAP to avoid any tickets!

I HIGHLY recommend Pinnacle. I was scheduled for surgery the next day and got parking tickets for an expired state inspection. I called a bunch of places and luckily talked to Demand . He didn’t hesitate to squeeze me in right away so I wouldn’t keep getting tickets. Demand and Noah the managers got my inspection done quickly and even topped off my oil for free. They truly helped me and I’m a customer for life now!

I called for scheduling an inspection. I was told 9:30 appointment. Asked my name and number, but not the car make or model.. I said, you don’t want to know the car?? He said no. Ok, so what if I pulled up in a Ferrari, all good?? Hmm.. I arrived on time and asked approximately how long. “3 hours” he said. I said, oh no, I have to wait here, I scheduled an appointment to hopefully be quicker. He said “it takes time to do the inspection and we had some drop offs this morning” I said, but, I made an appointment.. he said, maybe we can get it done in 2, but we do a good job of keeping you updated. 3 + hours passes, I call. He said “we are not done, I said I would call you”. He was very bothered that I called to check in.I said, yes but I’m sitting at a diner and I need to get going bc I have work. He said, well it’s not done and we have to fail your car. He began to rattle off all of these things that need fixing. I said if it has failed anyway. I really need to come get my car so I can get back home bc I have a work meeting. I did not have time or recourses to get repairs done. He said “you can’t come get your car, we aren’t done the inspection. We have to finish inspecting the car and document all of the issues to report to the state”. I said, you are seeming to go extra if it hasn’t passed, you said you have failed my car, I need to come get it. Can you give me an ETA to when you’ll be done? He said no, I can’t give an eta.. he said “I’ll call you, maybe a half hour”. I could not wait. I walked back over the 10 minutes it took, walked in and asked for the Subaru. He said we aren’t done. My car was parked on the curb, not being inspected, not in the shop, not being looked at any longer, if ever.. he would not check me out and let me leave even though my car was done and failed in the end. I believe they gave me a list of repairs, tried to scare tactic me by saying we are documenting and reporting to the state, but when I said I won’t being getting it serviced with them he held my car hostage and made me feel like he had all the power until I would maybe cave into getting the work done with them. The estimate of work needed “$2,056.00”. I asked him to go over the things wrong with my friend over the phone, a male who knows cars much more than I. He would not speak. He said “it’s all printed out on this paper”.. I believe this place tries to scare people into repairs. He saw a well dressed girl who doesn’t know cars well, and thought, we can get some over on her. Charged me $125.00 to fail my car and had it there for 4+ hours. An inspection, with an appointment and someone waiting there, shouldn’t take longer than an hour. And that’s still longer than actually needed. My car was just serviced by Subaru and new tires from tires plus. This place tried to say there is issue with the wheel bearings. I’m sure both places would have already alerted me to all the issue if there were all of these $2000.00++ worth of Issues. To sum up. I’ll never go back here. And I was looking for a new, trustworthy mechanic after my last just passed away.
