Performance Used Tires Introduce

Performance Used Tires, located at 6036 S Cedar St, Lansing, MI 48911, USA, operates within the Auto Repair Stations category, offering used tires and related services. They can be contacted at (517) 580-7964 or +1 517-580-7964.

As a business specializing in used tires, Performance Used Tires provides an option for customers seeking more budget-friendly tire replacements. Used tire shops typically acquire tires that still have usable tread life from various sources and offer them at a lower cost compared to new tires. This can be an appealing option for individuals looking for temporary replacements or cost-effective solutions for their vehicles.

However, the available customer reviews paint a concerning picture of the customer experience at Performance Used Tires. One customer recounted purchasing two used tires for $99, which initially seems like an attractive deal. However, their experience quickly turned negative when the tire went completely flat shortly after leaving the shop. Upon returning the next day to explain the issue, the customer reported encountering a staff member with a "terrible attitude" who allegedly wanted to charge an additional $20 to fix an "extended piece" that was leaking air. The customer explicitly stated they had never experienced such an issue before, implying the problem might have been related to the initial service.

The situation escalated further when the customer refused to pay the additional charge. According to the review, the staff member responded dismissively and, with a smirk, refused to fix the tire. The customer also reported feeling threatened with a police call. Taking the vehicle to another repair shop, the customer was informed that the "extended piece" was broken, leading to the serious accusation that the staff at Performance Used Tires had broken the part and then attempted to charge for its repair. The reviewer strongly advised others to avoid the establishment due to the "bad energy" and the alleged practice of breaking customers' belongings and demanding payment for the damage.

A second customer review corroborated the negative sentiment, advising others to go elsewhere if they expect basic respect or polite, knowledgeable service. This reviewer described the staff as "lazy" and "rude," showing a lack of consideration and respect for customers. They also commented on the poor condition of the parking lot, characterized as several inches of compacted snow due to a lack of shoveling or salting, suggesting a general lack of attention to the customer's overall experience and potentially safety.

Furthermore, this review highlighted a problematic service scheduling practice, stating that Performance Used Tires does not schedule appointments. Customers are expected to show up and hope the shop has time to service their vehicle. Even when a return time is provided if the vehicle cannot be immediately serviced, the reviewer claimed that the shop is often not ready at the agreed-upon time, expecting customers to accommodate their unpredictable schedule and negative attitudes. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customers' time is a significant concern.

Based on these reviews, the environment at Performance Used Tires appears to be unprofessional and potentially confrontational. Customers have reported negative interactions with staff, a lack of respect, and even accusations of intentional damage to vehicles followed by demands for payment. The physical environment, as described by one reviewer, also seems to be poorly maintained, with hazardous parking conditions due to unaddressed snow accumulation.

The services offered by Performance Used Tires primarily include the sale and installation of used tires. They may also offer tire repair services, as indicated by the first reviewer's attempt to get a flat tire fixed. However, the quality and integrity of these services are seriously called into question by the reported experiences. The lack of scheduled service suggests a potentially disorganized and inefficient operational model.

Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the two available customer reviews, there is no indication of any positive features or promotional information. The primary takeaway from this information is a strong caution regarding potential customer service issues, questionable business practices, and a potentially unwelcoming environment at Performance Used Tires in Lansing, MI.

In conclusion, while Performance Used Tires in Lansing, MI, offers the option of purchasing used tires, the available customer feedback raises significant concerns about their customer service, the integrity of their repairs, and the overall customer experience. Potential customers should be aware of these reported issues and consider them carefully before choosing to do business with this establishment. The lack of positive feedback and the serious nature of the accusations in the reviews warrant extreme caution.

Performance Used Tires Customer Reviews

I got two used tires for $99. I went down the street to the store after the service, and my tire was completely flat. Came back the next day, the guy had a terrible attitude as i tried to explain what happened and told me he would charge $20 for the extended piece that was leaking all the air. I neverrrr had this issue before. I told him I'm not paying and he said to have a nice day... His energy felt demonic. He would not fix my tire with a smirk and they threatened to call the police on me. I took it to another place and the guy said this extended piece was broken. So, the dude broke the piece and tried charging me for it knowing what he did.... This place had such bad energy! They will break your stuff and have you pay for it or tell you to leave...

If you expect to be treated with basic respect or to deal with polite, knowledgable workers: go somewhere else. The staff here are lazy, rude, and show no consideration or respect for their own customers. Their entire "parking lot" (such as it is) is nothing but several inches of compacted snow because they can't bother to shovel or salt it. They also don't schedule service; you have to show up and *hope* they have time for you. If you show up and they can't take your vehicle they'll give you a specific time to return but even then they still won't be ready and will expect you to continue to accommodate their "whatever" schedule and attitudes.

Needed a tired replaced at short notice. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Staff was quick to get everything done, made sure I got what I was looking for, and had me on my way with no issues.

Update - I was able to find the right size somewhere else and I brought it back for them to mount for me. They took care of it for a nominal fee. I appreciate the fact that they stood behind their work and were able to work with me to get the issue resolved. I bought two used tires and had them installed. When I went to pick up the vehicle, they told me that I had to pay extra to dispose of the old tires, wasn't part of the original quote nor mentioned up front. Come to find out, one of the tires had been patched outside of the repairable area and was leaking. When I brought it back, all they would do since they didn't have any more of that size was to refund the cost of the tire, not the installation or disposal fee that I had already paid. So basically, I paid $45 for a bad tire.

Why even be open if you’re turning away business? Asked if I could get two of my tires mounted he said no. I asked if he has any for sale ranging across multiple sizes and he has none.
