Had a poor experience here late last year. Went to these guys twice for oil changes and tires and the experiences were great. The front manager was incredibly helpful. However, on our third experience with this Pep Boys, the mechanic working on my vehicle lacked respect and professionalism when explaining why he couldn't figure out what was wrong with my vehicle - he literally shouted to his coworkers that I was being outlandish for asking how long the inspection would take (this was six hours into the "inspection"). He failed to communicate at any point in the day, even after telling me he would call. There was no communication from the mechanic or the front manager, expect when I called. Really wish this had gone differently. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you are getting simple oil changes or tires done.

Went to pep boys in l Lake Wylie for tire repair Super nice place kale was great working with me had my truck done in a couple minutes I would recommend this place all day long all the workers were very nice and friendly

Came in with intentions of getting, brakes, oil, filters, headlights lights, brake lights, and possible battery or starter! The battery test is free but they want to nickel and dime over the starter test costing extra! It’s the same machine that test the battery you just hit a different button! LoL I was a ship manager for years! I would’ve fired a guy for walking a customer over a charging system test! Even the dealerships do that for free! Btw every employee was sitting around on their phones no vehicles being worked on! You’d think they would be hustling to get some jobs in! Walked over a thousand dollar ticket for $15 dollar scam!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Be very cautious about going here for any major repair work. I called about a clutch replacement and was told to bring it in. It shouldn't be more than a week, they're only master technician had some other jobs that needed to be done too. To make a long story short they could not do my clutch job and sent it to pep boys in rock hill. After almost six months I was told my car was ready but when I picked it up there was something not right. I was asked by the manager "was it making that noise before you brought it in?" I ended up going to lake wylie euro who had to replace the clutch (again) because it had broken bolts in the bell housing and broken alignment pin in the clutch (they had it done in 2 days). I have spent the last 5 months trying to reach someone about a claim for reimbursement for a job that was never done correctly. Please be wary when going to them for any complex machincal work.
