Paducah Transmission & Auto Repair

This is a review a little late 8/17/2021. We were a couple heading from Illinois back to Florida in a Red 1996 Ford F350 with a red trailer. We broke down but limped in to their shop with a fuel issue on both gas tanks. What a great place to end up. They were friendly, professional and did everything they could to help us get on our way home. We found out, there were multiple issues with our truck. That’s what happens when you have a 25 yr old Truck. First issue was a corroded wire at a connection and the second was a wire going into the distributor. So the solution was fix the connection and replace the distributor. This was not an easy find or fix. It took time to find multiple issues. Now the truck is running like new again. Paducah transmission is a rip off. I paid them $150 just to check my transmission fluid. They told me they checked it and it was dirty and it would be another 150 to fill it. I said I would have to bring it back. When I brought it back, they said it would be 300 to fill it. So I took it to a reputable auto repair shop and upon checking my transmission fluid they said that there is no way anyone took the bolt out to check it because it was rusted in. They saved it for me. So they lied and charged me $150 and did not touch my vehicle. Now I can prove that they are still from people. I am a veteran and a senior citizen and it’s very hard to understand why someone would do this.

We called Paducah Transmission after breaking down on the interstate on our way to Nashville. It was late on a Tuesday afternoon and we were stranded on the side of the road. They gave us the name of a tow company and said if we could get it to them, they would see what they could do… within 48 hours, they had us sorted out and back on the road again! INCREDIBLE SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH. In addition to being capable and professional, the staff were infinitely kind. Our breakdown was totally due to a mistake on our part and they never made us feel stupid about it. Just cannot say enough good things about Paducah Transmission! FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY. I would do 10 stars if that were an option!

Had a front transmission seal leaking on my motorhome. They were unable to get it through the door of the shop but did get a scope in transmission and clarified the seal was leaking. Very helpful with some additional information on how to repair it correctly. Great service, friendly and very professional. Only thing I wasn't happy with was they couldn't get it in their shop to fix it. I wished they could have done it. Recommend highly.

Great customer service and reasonable pricing!!! This is definitely the best place to go in Paducah for car troubles. I called around and here was the most reasonable estimate in my opinion. They did everything in a timely fashion and were great all around.

Great place for an honest fix. I took my car to a nearby auto shop because it was overheating and they insisted it was undriveable and needed a $180 dollar diagnostic. I said nope and took it down the street to Paducah Transmission & Auto Repair instead. They found it was a 70 dollar part that needed fixing, the water pump. They fixed it up in a day. Very honest mechanics at PAD Transmission & Auto. If you need to fix your car but are wary of getting taken advantage of, go to Paducah Transmission & Auto. They have to be the most honest mechanics in town, if not the area.

Took my 2019 frontier here because I thought the converter was slipping. They said they could not get it to replicate the issue no matter what they tried and they were 100% confident nothing was wrong with the transmission or the converter. I was about 99% convinced I wanted to go ahead and put a new unit in anyway because I knew there was something going on but they just couldn’t get it to replicate the issue. The shop Forman told me multiple times he thinks it would be a waste of money and he would drive the truck cross country without a single worry. We went ahead and dropped the pan to see what the filter and magnet looked like and they found the filter and pan had been dented in a little bit but no clutch material or debris to be worried about. In the end I’m not sure if it was a transmission issue or not because I also replaced spark plugs and coil packs and the issue never came back, but regardless these guys saved me a lot of money because I was convinced I needed a new trans and they advised against it. They are about as honest as can be in my book
