Otto's Collision Services Introduce

Otto's Collision Services, located at 1536 Burgundy Pkwy in Streamwood, IL 60107, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, focusing primarily on collision repair and auto body work. Based on the limited but contrasting customer reviews available, the experience at Otto's Collision Services appears to be somewhat varied. While one customer praises the owner and the speed of service, another expresses significant dissatisfaction with the quality of the repair work and the overall customer interaction.

Details regarding the environment of Otto's Collision Services are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. However, the nature of collision repair typically involves a workshop setting equipped for bodywork, painting, and potentially some mechanical repairs related to collision damage. The contrasting experiences suggest that while the initial interaction with the owner might be positive for some, the operational aspects of the repair process may not consistently meet customer expectations.

The services offered by Otto's Collision Services, as implied by its name and the customer reviews, include collision repair and auto body work. This can encompass a range of services such as dent removal, frame straightening, panel replacement, and painting. One positive review indicates that they also handle other automotive services, as the customer mentioned looking forward to returning for AC and bumper work. This suggests that their capabilities might extend beyond just collision-related repairs. However, the negative review details issues specifically with body shop work, including paintwork and the replacement of original parts.

One customer shared a positive experience, describing Otto as "a great person with a kind heart." They appreciated the service and the fact that their car was returned in a "decent amount of time." This positive feedback led to a high recommendation and an intention to return for future services like AC and bumper repair, indicating satisfaction with at least some aspects of their service.

In stark contrast, another customer reported a significantly negative experience. This customer's car was repaired through a State Farm-suggested shop, which was Otto's Collision Services. They cited a considerable discrepancy in the estimated and actual repair time, having to proactively inquire about the status of their vehicle. Furthermore, they reported serious issues with the quality of the bodywork, including the replacement of original parts, messy paintwork with spots on the interior, and a trunk that no longer closed easily, requiring multiple forceful attempts. Upon returning to the shop to address the trunk issue, the customer reported an unprofessional and dismissive response from the staff. This negative review strongly recommends seeking other body shops, highlighting concerns about the quality of work and customer service follow-up.

Based on the conflicting customer feedback, the features of Otto's Collision Services appear to be:

  • Collision and Body Repair Focus: Their primary services revolve around repairing vehicles damaged in collisions.
  • Potential for Other Services: One review suggests they may also handle other repairs like AC and bumper work.
  • Owner Interaction: One customer found Otto to be a "great person with a kind heart" and friendly.
  • Inconsistent Service Quality: Reviews indicate a significant disparity in customer experiences, with one praising the service and another detailing multiple issues with the repair work.
  • Potential for Extended Repair Times: One customer experienced a delay in the repair timeline and had to follow up proactively.
  • Concerns Regarding Parts Replacement: A negative review mentioned the replacement of original parts, which may be a point of concern for some customers.
  • Issues with Paintwork Quality: Messy paintwork and paint spots on the interior were reported by one customer.
  • Potential Problems with Post-Repair Functionality: A customer experienced a significant issue with their trunk not closing properly after the repair.
  • Questionable Customer Service Follow-Up: The response to the trunk issue in the negative review was described as unprofessional and dismissive.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any specific promotional offers or discounts at Otto's Collision Services. Local users considering this "Auto Repair Station" for their collision or body repair needs should be aware of the mixed feedback. While some customers may experience friendly interactions with the owner and reasonably timely service, others have reported significant issues with the quality of the repair work and the overall customer experience.

For residents of Streamwood, IL, and surrounding areas in need of collision repair or auto body work, Otto's Collision Services at 1536 Burgundy Pkwy presents a complex picture based on the available reviews. While one customer had a positive experience and intends to return, another detailed several serious issues with the quality of the repairs and the professionalism of the staff's response to concerns. Potential customers are advised to weigh these contrasting experiences and perhaps seek additional information or consider obtaining multiple quotes before entrusting their vehicle to Otto's Collision Services. The discrepancy in the provided feedback suggests that service quality and customer satisfaction may not be consistently maintained.

Otto's Collision Services Customer Reviews

Otto is a great person with a kind heart. The service was great, and I really appreciate that he got my car in and out in a decent amount of time. I highly recommend! I look forward to bringing my car back for the AC and bumper! Thank you again, Otto!

Owner just talk friendly, service is not so good. I made mistake by repair my car with statefarm suggested shop. Body shop told me that I will get car on about 7 week and I had to call and find out status of my car and then he told me that you can pick up next week. I also noticed my original parts were replaced, messy paint work as I noticed paint spot on my seat and other interior fabric. My trunk used to close very easily and now I have to bang hard to close my trunk with three to four try. I made another trip to shop to show it to the guy and he said dud you eat food today, to close the trunk? I would recommend to go other body shop.

Otto's Collision was one of State Farm's approved body shops. These guys took care of my vehicle and repaired it in a week as promised. Thank you Otto for the efficiency of your shop and the fabulous customer service that you extended to me! Definitely recommend!

I took my vehicle to Otto's on 8/15. I was told I would get a call with in a week. I received a call FINALLY on 9/1. Since I never received a call I went to a much more professional body shop. I went to the professional body shop and received a full estimate. And a date to get my vehicle repaired. When I called "Otto's" to let him know a was not taking my car there. He answered on his personal cell phone. And couldn't understand him. Very un professional!

As Otto's was one of the body shops recommended by State Farm, I dropped off my car for an estimate on 9/12//17. The damage was confined to the rear tailgate (including the window) and nothing else. They told me I would hear from them in a week. State Farm decided that my car was totaled and gave me the amount of the pay-off. I decided to keep the car and have it repaired by Otto's. With one excuse after another, as well as additional costs for parts that they "discovered" needed replacing, my car was returned to me on October 5th. While the auto body repair was good, there were a couple technical problems that I had to have repaired by others. BUT, as I didn't have a passenger in the front passenger seat since before my accident, I realized yesterday when I went to belt in my passenger that the receptor had been cut out. My car doors are ALWAYS locked. My garage is never left open. Since it has been a little over 2 months, it would be tough to prove something. However, I would never recommend them due to the length of time, change in price and unprofessionalism.
