Andrew's Auto Introduce

Andrew's Auto, which is referenced in the provided customer reviews as Broadway Auto Body & Repair, is located at 1534 Burgundy Pkwy, Streamwood, IL 60107, USA. It's important to note that one review also mentions the address as 1532 Burgundy Parkway, suggesting these addresses might be for adjacent units or within the same complex. As an establishment falling under the platform category of Auto Repair Stations, this business is dedicated to providing various services and goods for vehicle maintenance and repair, with a clear focus on auto body work. Customers can reach them by phone at (510) 604-3013 or via mobile at +1 510-604-3013.

Environment and Facility

The environment at Andrew's Auto, or Broadway Auto Body & Repair, presents a contrasting picture based on customer accounts. One review describes walking "into the shop, there were people working on cars everywhere and several more vehicles waiting on the outside," which initially gave an impression of a busy, in-demand, and productive facility. This suggests a functional, if perhaps bustling, workshop with multiple bays and vehicles in various stages of repair. This type of environment often implies a high volume of work, which can be a sign of a popular shop. However, the lengthy delays (five months for a repair) and the alleged lack of progress on a vehicle for two months contradict this initial impression of efficiency, pointing to potential organizational or resource management challenges within the facility. The positive experience of another customer receiving a car "ready before the shop closed" on short notice, and being provided a loaner car, suggests that under certain circumstances, the facility can indeed operate with remarkable efficiency and customer convenience. The environment, therefore, seems capable of handling high volume and offering convenience but might struggle with complex or prolonged projects, leading to an inconsistent customer experience. A well-organized reception area and efficient parts management are crucial for auto body shops, and the reviews suggest that these aspects might vary in their effectiveness.

Comprehensive Services Offered

As an Auto Repair Station, particularly one with "Auto Body & Repair" in its alternative name, Andrew's Auto (Broadway Auto Body & Repair) specializes in services related to vehicle bodywork and general repairs. The provided reviews highlight several key service areas:

  • Collision Repair: This is a primary service, as one customer needed repairs after a "front-end collision." This typically involves repairing structural damage, replacing body panels, frame straightening, and ensuring the vehicle's safety features are restored.
  • Auto Body Painting and Detailing: The review mentions "paint knocked off" and "paint detailing" for a bumper, indicating expertise in paint matching, scratch repair, and comprehensive auto painting services. They also "touched up some scuffs on the side of my car as well as the trunk," showcasing attention to detail in cosmetic repairs.
  • Bumper Repair and Replacement: Specific mention of a "front right-side bumper" repair, which was made to look "brand new," highlights their capability in handling bumper damage, a common issue in collisions.
  • General Mechanical Repairs (Post-Collision): The extensive list of "issues were not fixed" after a collision repair (headlights, running lights, high-beams, windshield washer pump, radiator leak, A/C compressor, airbag sensor) suggests that they undertake mechanical repairs that are part of, or related to, collision damage. This implies a scope that extends beyond just bodywork to the functional aspects of the vehicle affected by an accident.
  • Estimates and Consultations: Customers receive estimates ("provided an amount") for the job, indicating a structured process for assessing damage and providing quotes.

The core of their service appears to be focused on restoring vehicles after accidents, covering both cosmetic and functional aspects. However, the quality and timeliness of these comprehensive repairs seem to vary.

Key Features and What Sets Them Apart

Andrew's Auto, or Broadway Auto Body & Repair, exhibits several key features that contribute to its reputation, both positively and negatively:

  • Convenient and Responsive for Certain Services: One strong positive feature is their responsiveness for quick, less complex jobs. Being "open early on a Saturday morning" and able to get a bumper repair done "ASAP" on short notice, providing a loaner car, and completing it before closing time, demonstrates exceptional convenience and customer service for specific tasks. Raul, a staff member, is highlighted for his helpfulness and efficiency in this context.
  • Affordable Pricing: Both reviews mention "reasonable prices" or "fair and reasonable price," indicating that their cost structure is perceived as competitive, which is a significant draw for customers seeking value.
  • Quality of Cosmetic Repairs: The success in making a "bumper looks brand new" and touching up other scuffs shows high-quality workmanship in specific cosmetic and paint detailing tasks.
  • Significant Delays and Unresolved Issues (Reported): A major negative feature is the reported extreme delays in repair times ("over two months without a single thing done," "finally received my car back after (about) five months"). This is a critical concern, indicating potential issues with workflow, parts management, or staffing.
  • Incomplete or Substandard Repairs (Reported): The extensive list of "several issues were not fixed" after a major collision repair, including safety-critical items like headlights and airbag sensors, points to serious quality control and thoroughness problems on complex jobs. This directly contradicts the expectation of a competent Auto Repair Station.
  • Communication and Accountability Challenges (Reported): The "runaround about how the parts were difficult to find, a delay in shipping, incorrect parts received, short staff" suggests a lack of transparent and proactive communication, as well as potential issues with accountability from the owner.

These contrasting features mean that Andrew's Auto/Broadway Auto Body & Repair can provide excellent, quick service for certain needs but has also been associated with significant challenges and dissatisfaction on more extensive repairs.

Promotional Information and Customer Experience

The promotional impact of Andrew's Auto / Broadway Auto Body & Repair is shaped by a highly polarized set of customer experiences, presenting a complex picture to potential clients:

  • Strong Referral Potential (Initial): One customer was "recommended... due to the lavish reviews and he also knew the owner," suggesting a strong initial reputation and word-of-mouth network that attracted clientele. This type of personal recommendation is a powerful promotional tool.
  • Competitive Pricing as a Draw: The consistently mentioned "reasonable prices" acts as a strong promotional message, attracting customers who are budget-conscious but still seek quality repairs.
  • Efficiency for Minor Jobs: The ability to complete a job "ASAP" on a Saturday morning and provide a loaner car is an excellent promotional point for convenience and responsiveness, appealing to customers with urgent but less complex needs. This positive experience directly leads to appreciation for "Raul and the team" and "great service."
  • Significant Negative Word-of-Mouth: The detailed negative review, however, serves as an incredibly damaging promotional counterpoint. Allegations of five-month delays, lack of progress, a litany of unfixed issues, and perceived "runaround" from the owner are severe criticisms that would likely deter a significant number of potential customers. The strong closing statement "I will not be taking any of my vehicles to this Auto Repair. Better luck to you if you choose" acts as a strong warning.
  • Inconsistency in Service Delivery: The stark contrast between a job completed "ASAP" and a five-month delay for another highlights a significant inconsistency in service delivery. This makes it difficult for potential customers to predict their own experience, which can be a deterrent despite positive individual interactions.

For Andrew's Auto / Broadway Auto Body & Repair, maintaining and improving their reputation will depend heavily on ensuring consistency in their service quality, transparency in communication, and efficiency across all types of repairs, especially complex collision work. While they clearly possess the ability to deliver excellent results and convenience for some services, the severe negative feedback on other aspects will likely present a significant challenge in building consistent customer trust and positive long-term promotion within the Auto Repair Stations category.

Andrew's Auto Customer Reviews

Broadway Auto Body & Repair 1532 Burgundy Parkway Streamwood, IL 60107 When I got into a front-end collision, a good friend recommended Broadway Auto Body Paint & Repair due to the lavish reviews and he also knew the owner. The prices were reasonable. Walking into the shop, there were people working on cars everywhere and several more vehicles waiting on the outside. At first I was impressed!... The horror began after coming to the realization that Broadway had my car in the shop for over two months without a single thing done to it! When I approached the owner, he gave me the runaround about how the parts were difficult to find, a delay in shipping, incorrect parts received, short staff and the list goes on. I finally received my car back after (about) five months. When I began to start driving the car again, I noticed that several issues were not fixed. 1. The headlights were not level. 2. I didn't have the usual running light upon turning the car on. 3. I didn't have my high-beam lights. 4. The headlights were not even secured! 5. The windshield washer pump didn't work. 6. The radiator was leaking water. 7. The A/C compressor bypassed the control switch, leaving it constantly running when the engine running. 8. The air bag sensor switch was hanging loosely. Going forward, I will not be taking any of my vehicles to this Auto Repair. Better luck to you if you choose.

My front right-side bumper had severe scratches and paint knocked off from being hit by a U-haul. Broadway Auto Body & Paint were open early on a Saturday morning which was incredibly convenient, so I called and spoke briefly with Raul for some info then decided to drive in to get an estimate. Raul took a looked at the bumper informed that it be a buffer and pain detailing. After I was provided an amount (fair and reasonable price) to get the job done, he asked when do I need the car ready? I said today ASAP. Although I did not expect it to be accomplished simply because I had not set an appointment and no idea how many other clients' cars were in the works before they could fix mine. Lo and behold, I was told it be ready before the shop closed!! (3pm.) I was provided another car by the company to run errands until it was time to pick up my car. Raul and the team are incredibly nice people and gave great service on such short notice. The bumper looks brand new and they even touched up some scuffs on the side of my car as well as the trunk.

The reviews in Google appear to be outdated. I have used Broadway Auto Body for over a year now paiting my Spec Miata race car. Dan and Raul set a good first impression that grew into a great working relationship. I plan to do a new paint scheme over the winter and Broadway Auto Body will be the only shop I will ask to do the job. The Reviews before 2012 must be of another company and should not reflect the current performance of Broadway Auto Body. They quote a fair price, finish well and match color great. I just thought you should know.

Worst service, inexperienced staff... they didn’t color my car smooth. There are lines all over and charged more money then everyone else. They asked to pay cash because they don’t want to pay tax. All the employees have no experience at all. I would never recommend them to anyone. Worst than garbage service!! Please don’t waste your time n money on them.
