One Stop Truck Crane and Fleet Services Introduce

Located at 3880 S Baldwin Rd, Orion Township, MI 48359, USA, One Stop Truck Crane and Fleet Services positions itself within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, but with a specific specialization in heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, cranes, and fleet equipment. This establishment caters to a distinct segment of the automotive repair market, focusing on the complex needs of commercial and industrial vehicles. Their contact information is (248) 681-8782 or +1 248-681-8782.

Environment and Customer Experience

The operational environment at One Stop Truck Crane and Fleet Services, as gathered from customer feedback, presents a mixed picture. One customer shared a highly positive experience, praising the "kindness and courtesy" of the staff, specifically mentioning an employee named Shane, who provided immediate assistance with a frustrating issue. This highlights a capacity for excellent customer service and a willingness to "genuinely just take care of people," indicating a potential for a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for some clients.

However, another review details a significantly challenging experience involving a bucket truck repair. This account suggests a less consistent environment, marked by issues such as prolonged repair times, unfulfilled promises regarding completion dates, and initial resistance to acknowledging problems with the repair quality. The customer reported discovering missing and loose parts, as well as missing bolts, after a costly repair. Interactions with staff, including a receptionist named Derick and ultimately the owner, Greg, were described as argumentative and uncooperative regarding the quality of work. This contrasting feedback points to variability in the customer experience, with some encounters being positive and others leading to considerable frustration and dissatisfaction, particularly concerning the thoroughness and safety of the repairs performed on complex heavy equipment.

Services and Features

One Stop Truck Crane and Fleet Services, as their name suggests, provides specialized services for various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Operating under the umbrella of "Auto Repair Stations" for commercial and industrial vehicles, their offerings likely include:

  • Truck Repair: Comprehensive diagnostics, maintenance, and repair for various types of trucks, including semi-trucks and smaller commercial trucks.
  • Crane Services: This is a core specialization, likely encompassing repair, maintenance, and possibly installation of truck-mounted cranes and other lifting equipment. The customer review about the bucket truck with leveling rods replacement directly points to this expertise.
  • Fleet Services: Designed for businesses managing multiple vehicles, providing scheduled maintenance, preventative checks, and timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Diesel Engine Maintenance & Repair: Given the nature of heavy-duty vehicles, expert diesel engine service is a critical offering.
  • Hydraulic Tool Repair, Sales & Service: Crucial for equipment with hydraulic systems, such as cranes and bucket trucks.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Essential for structural repairs, custom modifications, and addressing damage to heavy equipment.
  • Rail Road Specialists: This indicates a highly specialized niche, potentially including HyRail installation, inspection, parts, and repair for railway-related vehicles.
  • Mobile Truck Repair: Offering on-site service, which is invaluable for heavy vehicles that are difficult or costly to transport to a shop.
  • Installation, Inspection, and Maintenance: These are overarching services applied across all their specializations, emphasizing a holistic approach to vehicle care.

Regarding features, the positive customer review highlights instances of kindness and courtesy, which can be a strong feature for a service-based business. The ability to "take care of people" genuinely indicates a focus on customer needs beyond just the mechanical task.

However, the negative review brings to light potential concerns about quality control and attention to detail, specifically mentioning loose and missing components, as well as concerns about the proper assembly of critical systems. The issue of a snapped bolt and the subsequent discovery of an incorrectly clocked leveling system raise significant questions about the thoroughness of their work and the adherence to safety standards for complex equipment. Furthermore, the communication regarding repair timelines and the willingness to take responsibility for alleged errors appear to be inconsistent.

The shop's reported approach to addressing customer complaints, including arguments and alleged refusals to compensate for subsequent repairs needed due to their initial work, suggests a lack of robust customer resolution processes or a challenging environment when disputes arise. This is a crucial feature for any "Auto Repair Station," as effective problem-solving and accountability are vital for maintaining customer trust and safety, particularly in the context of heavy machinery.

Promotional Information and Value

Based solely on the provided information, direct promotional offers are not detailed. However, the value proposition of One Stop Truck Crane and Fleet Services would theoretically stem from their specialization in heavy-duty vehicles, which often require specialized tools, knowledge, and experience that general auto repair shops may lack. For businesses or individuals operating trucks, cranes, or fleet vehicles, a dedicated specialist could offer the convenience of a "one-stop" solution for their complex maintenance and repair needs.

The positive experience highlighted in one review points to the potential for efficient and helpful service, offering immediate assistance when needed. This responsiveness could be a significant value for clients facing unexpected breakdowns or technical difficulties with their heavy equipment.

However, the negative review introduces concerns about the overall value for money, given the significant cost of repairs ($13,000 charged to insurance) followed by alleged incomplete or faulty work that necessitated further, costly repairs at another facility. The reported refusal by the owner to address the alleged screw-up further diminishes the perceived value and trustworthiness. For potential customers, assessing the true value would involve weighing the convenience of their specialized services against the reported inconsistencies in repair quality and customer service, particularly for critical and high-value equipment like bucket trucks and cranes where safety is paramount.

I took my bucket truck to one stop to get the leveling rods replaced after a collision with the bucket. They charged 13000 dollars to my insurance company. After 5 months of having the truck they called and said it was done. Over the 5 months I was promised I would have the truck back in a couple weeks several times but always got the excuse that they were waiting on parts. I arrived to get the truck and noticed a cover missing and some other access covers loose and some missing bolts. I went into the office to talk to the receptionist Derick. I told him the access cover was not installed on the truck and there was some other ones that were loose and missing bolts. He Argued with me for a while, telling me that it was not on there when he got the truck five months prior. After letting him try to bs me I told him that the cover was on the truck, but the mechanic never installed it. He apologized then sent a mechanic out to put the cover on. The Mechanic worked on it for about 25 minutes. He came in and told me that he had snapped a bolt but it wasn’t a big deal as it it has 3 others anyway. He said I could wait for about 45 minutes and he would fix it if I wanted. I live about an hour and a half half away so I opted to finish it myself. Once I got the truck back to the shop and got to really look at it closely it looked as though a 14 year old kid Put the truck together. There was multiple Access covers with Only one bolt holding the cover on and the deck of my bucket truck had multiple bolts and washers That were either extra parts or parts that they forgot to put on. I ended up taking the truck to BTS in Romeo To have someone take a second look at it . BTS Determined that the leveling System was not clocked properly and would cause catastrophic Failure if the boom was extended over center. Greg the owner called me a liar and refused to pay the 1800 I paid them to fix his shops screw up. Greg don’t care one bit about safety and in my opinion is a greedy and selfish coward. If you want your truck done right and don’t want to see someone die in your equipment take your truck somewhere else. This is my second time I had to do this he must pay to have bad reviews removed.

Now 2 weeks later I have no truck and not even an estimate! Greg was a rude sob! Never will I take a piece of equipment to this place again! I recommend staying away as I have heard they are SCAM ARTIST!
