Old Oak Service Introduce

Located at 3128 Pennsylvania Ave, Weirton, WV 26062, Old Oak Service operates as an Auto Repair Station serving the automotive needs of the Weirton community. As a local establishment, it aims to provide services for vehicle maintenance and repair to residents in the area. Like many independent auto repair shops, its primary function is to keep vehicles on the road safely and efficiently.

The general environment of a smaller, independent auto repair station like Old Oak Service typically focuses on functionality over luxurious amenities. You can expect a garage setting with bays for vehicle work, and likely a service counter for customer interactions. While specific details about the waiting area or customer facilities are not widely available, the operational aspect would be centered on the technical work of vehicle repair. Appointments would likely be scheduled directly by phone or in person. Their listed phone number is (304) 723-0660 and mobile phone +1 304-723-0660, indicating direct communication channels for service inquiries. Information regarding specific operating hours is not available, so customers would need to contact the shop directly for this detail.

As an Auto Repair Station, Old Oak Service would typically offer a range of services designed to address common vehicle issues and maintenance requirements. While a comprehensive list of specific services or goods for sale is not publicly detailed, common offerings at such establishments generally include:

  • General Vehicle Repair: Addressing various mechanical issues, from engine problems to electrical faults.

  • Routine Maintenance: Services like oil changes, fluid checks and top-offs, and filter replacements, essential for vehicle longevity.

  • Brake Services: Inspection, repair, and replacement of brake pads, rotors, and other components.

  • Tire Services: This would typically include tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and potentially tire sales. The customer review explicitly mentions inquiries about tire mounting, suggesting this is a service they are expected to offer.

  • Vehicle Inspections: Given the need for state-mandated inspections in many areas, it's plausible they offer vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and roadworthiness, as hinted by the customer review regarding an "inspection before the snow and cold temps."

  • Diagnostic Services: While the level of advanced diagnostic equipment might vary, basic troubleshooting and problem identification are usually part of their service.

As an independent shop, they likely source parts from various suppliers, aiming to provide options that balance quality and cost for their customers. The focus would be on practical solutions for everyday vehicle needs.

The features of Old Oak Service, based on the provided customer feedback, paint a complex picture, primarily highlighting challenges in customer interaction. While specific positive features of their repair work or efficiency are not detailed, the reviews heavily focus on the owner's demeanor and communication style. The customer specifically notes a condescending attitude, particularly towards a female inquiring about services. This is characterized by questions that challenge the customer's automotive knowledge and the owner's tone regarding photo submission for tire information. Furthermore, the owner's alleged insensitivity regarding a family emergency ("You better hurry up cuz I’m out next Tuesday!") stands out as a significant negative feature, indicating a lack of empathy and customer care.

This feedback suggests that a key feature of the customer experience at Old Oak Service, at least from this perspective, involves a challenging interpersonal dynamic. While the business may have a history (the customer mentions their father used them), this specific interaction points to a lack of welcoming and respectful service, especially for female clients. The customer's strong language ("CONDESCENDING MALE CHAIVINIST PIG!") underscores a deep level of dissatisfaction with the communication and perceived discriminatory behavior. The concern about potentially being "ripped off" due to this condescending approach also points to a perceived lack of transparency or trustworthiness in pricing, which is a critical feature for any auto repair station.

Therefore, while the technical capability for services like tire mounting and inspections might exist, the overriding feature highlighted by the customer review is the interpersonal aspect of their service. In contrast to many businesses that strive for a friendly and accommodating atmosphere, this feedback suggests a potentially unwelcoming environment that could deter customers, particularly those who value respectful and empathetic communication. The fact that the review is duplicated emphasizes the depth of this customer's negative experience and concern.

Regarding promotional information, there is no specific marketing or promotional material available for Old Oak Service. As a local, independent auto repair shop, their promotional efforts would likely rely more on word-of-mouth referrals and their long-standing presence in the community. However, the provided customer reviews suggest that any prior positive word-of-mouth for this business might be negatively impacted by recent customer experiences. In the absence of formal advertisements or special offers, customers would typically rely on direct inquiries regarding pricing and service availability. For local users in Weirton considering Old Oak Service, it would be advisable to manage expectations regarding customer interaction based on the available feedback. Contacting them directly at (304) 723-0660 or +1 304-723-0660 for specific service inquiries and to gauge their current customer service approach would be the primary way to gather information.

Old Oak Service Customer Reviews

If you want the owner to be condescending when you ask him if he also does tire mounting as well, then, just because you’re a FEMALE, he asks you what kind of tires? What size tires? Told him I could take pics and send to him and he wanted to know if I knew how to get those to him and where to send them. All of this while my father is on his death bed, which his answer to our telling him that, was “You better hurry up cuz I’m out next Tuesday!” Even after we told him this. My elderly mother needs tires and inspection before the snow and cold temps. CONDESCENDING MALE CHAIVINIST PIG! I’m sure he rips off his female clients, especially with ice water running through his veins. My dad used to use them as well. Mom won’t for sure.

Great transparency, not tricky about anything. Will show you exactly what is wrong so you can see. You can hear the mechanics’ conversations from the waiting area and see through a window. You really don’t worry about them pulling one over on you.
