O'Reilly Auto Parts Introduce

For local users in Las Vegas seeking solutions for their automotive needs, the O'Reilly Auto Parts store located at 1225 N Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA is a prominent option within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, although it operates primarily as an auto parts retailer. This store, accessible via phone at (702) 633-5945 or mobile at +1 702-633-5945, serves as a hub for both professional mechanics and DIY enthusiasts looking for parts, tools, and some essential in-store services.

The environment of an O'Reilly Auto Parts store is typically a well-organized retail space designed to make it easy for customers to find the parts and accessories they need. The layout usually includes aisles stocked with a wide array of automotive components, from basic maintenance items like oil filters, spark plugs, and wiper blades to more complex engine and brake parts. There's generally a counter where knowledgeable staff, often referred to as "Parts Professionals," assist customers with identifying the correct parts for their specific vehicle make and model. The store aims to be a bright, accessible, and functional space, facilitating self-service for experienced individuals while also providing expert guidance for those who require assistance. It's a consumer-facing retail environment, distinct from a repair bay, although it supports automotive repair by supplying necessary components.

O'Reilly Auto Parts offers a comprehensive range of products for sale, encompassing virtually every component and accessory a vehicle might need. This includes, but is not limited to: batteries, brake components (pads, rotors, calipers), engine parts (alternators, starters, water pumps), filters (oil, air, cabin), lighting (headlights, tail lights), fluids (motor oil, transmission fluid, coolant, brake fluid), and various tools and equipment for both basic and advanced repairs. They cater to a broad spectrum of vehicles, from passenger cars and trucks to SUVs and even some heavy-duty applications. The core business revolves around providing these goods, often with competitive pricing and loyalty programs like "O'Rewards."

Beyond just selling parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts distinguishes itself by offering several valuable in-store services, which align with its categorization as an "Auto Repair Station" in a broader sense, as they aid in the repair process. These services are often free and designed to empower customers to perform repairs themselves or diagnose issues before visiting a full-service mechanic. Key features and services include:

  • Free Battery Testing and Installation: Customers can bring their vehicle or battery in for a free test to determine its health. If a new battery is purchased, the store often provides free installation for most batteries. However, it's important to note that some vehicles with hard-to-access battery compartments or specific technical requirements for replacement (e.g., batteries located under rear seats, or vehicles requiring constant voltage during replacement) may not be eligible for on-site installation service.
  • Check Engine Light Testing (O'Reilly VeriScan®): This is a significant feature where store professionals can scan and read OBD-II diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for vehicles manufactured in 1996 or newer. This service provides a report of codes and potential fixes, helping customers understand why their check engine light is on and what parts might be needed for repair.
  • Used Oil & Battery Recycling: Promoting environmental responsibility, O'Reilly offers free recycling services for used motor oil, transmission fluid, gear oil, oil filters, and automotive batteries, helping customers dispose of these materials safely and responsibly. They accept various types of batteries, including those from cars, trucks, marine vehicles, and powersports.
  • Headlight and Wiper Blade Installation: With the purchase of new headlight bulbs or wiper blades, staff can often install them for free. The availability of bulb installation may be limited based on vehicle type and accessibility.
  • Loaner Tool Program: This program allows customers to rent specialized tools needed for specific repairs, such as steering wheel pullers or spring compressors, by paying a refundable deposit. This is a considerable benefit for DIYers who don't want to invest in expensive tools for a one-time job. The program includes over 80 specialty tools covering various automotive systems like steering and suspension, engine, clutch, AC, brakes, and diagnostic needs.
  • Drum & Rotor Resurfacing: Some locations, including this one, offer in-store brake drum and rotor resurfacing, helping customers save money by machining worn brake components instead of buying new ones, provided they are within safe limits for resurfacing.
  • Alternator and Starter Testing: Similar to battery testing, O'Reilly can test the condition of alternators and starters, either on or off the vehicle, to help diagnose charging or starting system issues.

Customer reviews for the 1225 N Eastern Ave location reflect a mixed bag of experiences, often hinging on individual interactions with staff. One positive review highlights "Great cust serv," praising the "attitudes," the helpfulness of "360 photos on their system" (likely referring to detailed part views for identification), the "machine to check the codes on vehicles" (Check Engine Light service), and the staff's ability to "make it happen" if a part isn't in stock. Specific mentions of "Christian and Daniel" being patient and taking time to address an E-350 Super Duty truck issue underscore instances of excellent service and technical assistance.

However, another review details a challenging experience, which led to a low overall rating despite one employee receiving high praise. This customer recounted visiting multiple O'Reilly locations due to system inaccuracies regarding battery availability. At this specific store, two female employees at the front counter allegedly ignored the customer and claimed they lacked the tools to replace a battery. The customer was advised to purchase a tool for replacement, which ultimately did not fit the battery, and the battery was later replaced by another employee, "Santos," using tools that the ladies had claimed were unavailable. This experience caused considerable frustration, as the customer had purchased the battery with the expectation of installation assistance, especially given a battery warranty issue and previous expenses for jumper cables and AAA services. This review points to potential inconsistencies in staff knowledge, willingness to assist, and communication regarding available services and tools. It highlights the importance of consistent and reliable customer service, particularly when customers are already facing vehicle issues.

Promotional information for O'Reilly Auto Parts typically emphasizes its slogan, "Better Parts, Better Prices, Every Day!" They often highlight their extensive inventory, the convenience of in-store services like free diagnostics and installations, and the expertise of their "Parts Professionals." Online platforms and in-store signage would promote their loyalty program, special deals, and the ease of ordering parts online for in-store pickup. They also emphasize their commitment to sustainability through recycling programs for batteries and fluids. The aim is to position O'Reilly as a reliable, convenient, and cost-effective source for all automotive parts and DIY repair support. However, as evidenced by customer feedback, the actual experience can vary depending on the specific employees encountered and the accuracy of stock information within their system. For local users, knowing the breadth of services offered, alongside considering recent customer feedback, is key to managing expectations and ensuring a positive experience.

Great cust serv. I like the attitudes, the 360 photos on their system, the machine to check the codes on vehicles, and if they don't have your part in stock the reps will make it happen for you. Thank you Christian and Daniel for being patient and taking the time to address our vehicle e-350super duty truck.

I’m only giving this two stars because santos did a great job replacing my battery. I give him 5 stars. Thank you santos I appreciate it! As for the two ladies in the front(negative stars if I could) They ignored me. They told me they couldn’t replace the Battery because they don’t have the tools to do it(this is after driving to two other o’reily’s because their systems said they had the battery only to find out once i got there, there was nothing in the back) They told me id have to buy the tool to replace my battery. I bought what she told me id need. The tool I bought didn’t fit. He didn’t use it… he used what the two ladies said they didn’t have available to them. I bought the battery here, got my warranty now I just want the service I was told id get with the purchase… if you don’t want to do your job don’t work there, find another job where you don’t have to give services to paying customers please do us all a favor. I wouldn’t have bought the battery here if I couldn’t get help replacing it. It already sucked enough that I’ve had to purchase jumper cables, a jump starter and AAA services because this battery didn’t last me a year only a few months. Then I come into the store and deal with this.

Had a bit of stressful morning with a blown headlight, something I have zero idea about. But Gilberto was extremely courteous and helpful. He helped me figure out exactly what bulb my car needed and I so appreciate his help.

I needed a brake booster for my truck, my mechanic who has a account with O'Reilly's ordered part, I went down paid with my business credit card, week or so later I took old part for core charge refund. The man claims he is the assistant manager, told me the part was already return, instead of him cross reference the part number on box he insisted can't do anything, I told him to enter the number it pop up showing my mechanic brought the booster in, it was the wrong booster, the part was even 42.00 cheaper which was credited to my card. So now he gives me the core charge back telling me it's back on my credit card gives me the receipt I place it back in my folder with 8 other receipts Credit statement came 10-03_23 no credit showed up. I look at receipt it shows cash, even highlighted. I should have looked at receipt but I took his word for it I was in a hurry big mistake. Talk to manager, you have cameras here, he said i need to talk to owner, but he also said it's hard to prove being it is cash, now did I just get deceived and robbed or is it a honest mistake we'll find out, one thing for sure, I want my money back. I surely hope they can do a internal investigation to get to how this happen and correct it. Follow up, the manager did take care of the refund he is a honorable man thanks lesson always look at receipt when receiving a refund going back on credit card
