North Hills Automotive Augusta Street

I've had a lot of work done on my van at North Hills Auto with no problems up to this point, and probably wouldn't write this review if it wasn't for the way the owner himself treated me, in front of other customers. My Chrysler Town and Country had an alternator change approximately every 18 months for 6 years. This part came with a lifetime warranty on parts and labor, so other than losing my van for a day to replace it it was fine. Well this last time wasn't the same. After receiving a phone call saying they weren't going to change it this time because of an oil leak. Even though it had a lifetime warranty. Keep in mind my van has had the same oil leak for 3 years, which is very manageable and not worth fixing. That being said, I changed it myself and called back to get a refund on the alternator because it was lifetime warrantied. The gentleman I spoke to agreed with me and asked me to stop by and pick up a check for the amount I paid. Well upon doing that, I was greeted by the Owner who made the decision not to pay for the part. His words were " we changed it 4 times and we're not changing it again, you're welcome". Please keep in mind the 3rd time it was changed they figured out the root cause. This vehicle required an OE alternator instead of an aftermarket, and still put the aftermarket on anyway. So of course the problem was for sure going to come back again. This Owner is very rude and unprofessional. How do you sell parts that are lifetime warranty and lie about it. On top of that they should have told me the last time it was changed, that this is it. Rather than hit me while I was down....

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Worth it!!!! Great customer service, Bonnie and the guys are great. This place has done same day repairs to get my car on the road often. They have coordinated Towing for me. Always going above and beyond-free shuttle too.They have always been up front and honest. The price tag is premium but honestly i don't mind paying a bit extra to get my car back same day and not be given the run around. Other mechanics i have used in the past have kept my car for months waiting on a part etc. Sometimes the "better price" cost more in the long run I know from experience. I will continue to use this location! Id love a lotyalty discount haha.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great service, great location but was charged 250+ to tighten a nut on a transmission. The labor charge is $130 an hour which is at the top of the national avarage & 2x higher than I have ever seen. But they did do a fantastic job and we're very fast and professional. I would def use again bit not if it was a big job, not at 130 an hour.

North Hills continues to provide our family with excellent service! Their staff is always kind and helpful, and they go above and beyond. They noticed that we had a nail in our back tire and just took care of it while they were doing other routine maintenance. They’re timely and dependable. They do a great job getting us scheduled quickly and provide a top notch car service that gets you where you need to go while you wait.

I have been searching for a shop for my 2000 Silverado due to Whitaker Chevrolet informing me they will no longer work on my truck because "it's too old". Well I have found my place ! Great service, clean facility and very warm and friendly folks. No pushy upsell, just did what I requested. That is so nice. I will be using them again. Thanks for your great service.
