New Horizons Automotive

I had a terrible experience at New Horizons Automotive. Not only did they do a shoddy job on my car repairs, but they also tried to scam me out of more money than we had originally agreed upon. The customer service was horrible, and they were not transparent about the costs or the timeline for the repairs. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as they are clearly more interested in making a quick buck than actually helping their customers. Stay far away from New Horizons Automotive if you value your time and money.

Donovan May owner of this shop. He said he could get me a car from an auto auction. Gave him and his wife $20,000 get the car. Then they told me that the car I want would be $5,000 more. So I gave them the $5,000. Then they told me it would be $3,000 to ship the car. Gave them the $3,000. Come to find out it was a salvaged car and they were trying to get $13,000 more out of me to fix the car. I said no way am I giving them more money. So I basically walked away with nothing. No money no car. I finally go back to them to get a car, they gave me a 2007 car with 173,000 miles on it. They assured me that even though the car was old it was good. A week and a half later I was driving the car on the highway and the time belt breaks completely off and the car swerved out of control and I lost power steering. I almost died. I called Donovan May (owner) and he says that he does not care... it’s a used car and it’s my responsibility to get it fixed and he has nothing to do with it. Now I’m left without a car. The car is still stuck in Yonkers, Ny. Do not trust this guy. It just may cost you your life

My car was sent to Donaven May to get in diagnostic. Donaven sent my car to a different shop without my permission now he states he has nothing to do with it. I’m still fighting for my car. From 12/2022 to now. Not recommend. No stars for me -⭐️ had to put one to post

Very Very Bad Experience! I brought My car to this shop for a simple front and back bumper repair and ended up with my vehicle missing it’s side view mirrors and a crack on the passenger side mirror. The paint job was POOR & the bumper that was placed on my vehicle was the incorrect bumper. I ended Up purchasing the correct bumper and when brought to the shop, was told that they would rather not repaint the correct bumper to place on my vehicle. They are very unprofessional and uncommunicative. Why put on an incorrect bumper without contacting the owner of the vehicle first? Just a very bad experience overall & super overpriced

The WORSE experience EVER. whatever u do don't take ur car there!!! I took my car there to Dex. My car sat there for 2wks on touch. He kept telling me its ready when its not. I went to pick up the car and he refuse to give me car keys. Then he drank a beer in front of me holding a conversation telling me he is done working for the day. It's 445 on a Saturday? My car is still in the shop. When he leaves be takes my car keys with him. It's now 4wks and still no car. I told him i was coming to pickup the car. He left b4 i got there. Then later had someone let the air out my tire. When i ask the guy what he doing he said dex told him to let the air out my tires. This dex guy is beneath scum. Can't speak for the others but avoid dex at all cost
