N.M. Imports Performance

It's easy to get ahead of yourself saying great things about N.M. Imports because they are truly fantastic! The shop is owned by a great guy named Alex and his awesome wife Stacey. Alex did some aftermarket exhaust work on my McLaren 570S a few years ago which turned out perfectly, and he just completed installing an entirely new steering system on my 1979 Firebird as well as making the fussy brakes work properly. The McLaren is a complicated car, but it was no problem for Alex. The issues with the Firebird required Alex to invest a significant amount of time researching the issue before he could then invest more time identifying the solution. His painstaking efforts completely paid off and now my 44 year-old Firebird steers and brakes like a high-performance, modern sports car! Stacey and Alex are themselves drag racers, they provide sponsorship for the drag strip, they co-host events at the drag strip, and they sometimes even go to the dragstrip with their customers to make sure their cars are performing as intended. In addition to being an excellent shop and strong supporters of the performance car community here in ABQ, they are genuinely good people, legitimately care about their customers, and are always a pleasure to work with. I'm glad that I'm older than Alex so that I hopefully become old and slow and crusty before he retires and leaves me without an awesome mechanic!

I been to many shops and this was the first shop that respected my civic. Communication was best. The work was amazing as well. They found problems that needed to be fixed and gave me a fair price. Thanks NM import and the team! My B-series is finally alive!

Professional, responsive and extremely knowledgeable. N.M. Imports replaced the engine on my 370Z, after I blew two holes in the first engine, and walked me through all the options for making upgrades that would get me enhanced performance at an affordable price. I couldn’t be more impressed with NM Imports. I recently bought an R32 Skyline from someone in Albuquerque and they did a pre-purchase inspection of the car, and after I purchased it, they did a full fluid flush and even held the car for me until I could arrange a transport to pick it up. They were super knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and got everything done quicker and cheaper than I could have got it done anywhere else. My only complaint is that they’re about 500 miles too far away for me to use them again. I’d trust them with any of my vehicles, but if you have a JDM import, I can’t imagine there’s a better place to take it!
