Located at 11910 GA Hwy 9, Alpharetta Hwy, Alpharetta, GA 30009, USA, Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers operates as a prominent "Auto Repair Station" offering a broad spectrum of automotive maintenance and repair services. As part of the larger Monro, Inc. family of brands, Mr. Tire positions itself as a convenient, one-stop shop for everything from basic tire needs to more complex mechanical repairs, catering to a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.

The environment at Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers is designed to be a functional and customer-friendly automotive service facility. Typically, these centers feature multiple service bays equipped for various tasks, a waiting area for customers, and a counter for consultations and check-ins. The emphasis is on efficiency and clear communication regarding vehicle needs. Reviews suggest that the staff, including store managers like Dave, strive for a straightforward and professional interaction, aiming to provide accurate time estimates and a genuine approach to service. While the environment is primarily a workshop, efforts are made to ensure customer comfort during their wait, though specific amenities at this particular location are not detailed.

Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers offers a comprehensive suite of services under the "Auto Repair Stations" category, ensuring that drivers can address most of their vehicle's needs in one place. Their primary services include:

  • Tire Sales and Service: This is a core offering, including the sale of a wide selection of brand-name tires at what they claim are "manufacturer-direct prices." Services include tire installation (mounting, balancing, new valve stems, tire disposal), tire rotation, tire repair (e.g., for nails), and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) service. They also offer a lifetime of free tire rotations when a premium tire installation package is purchased.
  • Oil Changes: They provide various oil change options, including conventional, synthetic blend, and full synthetic oils from brands like Valvoline. Oil changes typically include a fluid level check and a free tire rotation.
  • Brake Services: From inspections to full replacements, they offer different tiers of brake service (Platinum, Gold, Silver) which vary in warranty and hardware included. They provide free brake inspections.
  • Wheel Alignment: Essential for tire longevity and vehicle handling, wheel alignment services are a key offering.
  • Battery Replacement and Installation: They offer checks and replacements for vehicle batteries.
  • Shocks and Struts: Repair and replacement services for vehicle suspension components.
  • Muffler and Exhaust Services: Addressing issues with the exhaust system.
  • Preventative Maintenance: This includes services like AC system refresh, fluid checks and changes (transmission, power steering, etc.), and checks of hoses. They can pull up the vehicle's Manufacturer's Service Maintenance Schedule (MSMS) to ensure recommended components are inspected and maintained.
  • Diagnostics: Free engine light scans are often provided to help identify underlying issues.
  • Additional Services: Other general auto repair services like tune-ups, headlight and bulb replacement, and some mechanical repairs.

A key feature of Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers is their broad network and established presence, being part of Monro, Inc., a major player in the auto service industry. This affiliation often means standardized procedures, access to a wide inventory of parts, and national warranties. They emphasize a "people-first approach," aiming to provide value and earn trust. The availability of coupons and discounts on their website and through platforms like Groupon is a consistent promotional strategy. They also offer various financing options, including "The Drive Card," which provides promotional financing for purchases over $250. Their "30-Day Price Guarantee" on tires is also a significant feature, aiming to match lower competitor prices. The company also states that it honors "all extended warranties from coast to coast" and works directly with claims adjusters for streamlined processing.

Promotional information for Mr. Tire often revolves around special offers and the convenience of their services. They frequently advertise coupons for oil changes, tire purchases, and other services. The "We'll come to You!" service for tires, offering mobile tire installation, is a modern convenience that appeals to many customers. Their commitment to transparent pricing is highlighted by offering "free written estimates" and performing "only the work you authorize, guaranteed in writing." Most parts and services come with a minimum three-month/4,000-mile warranty, with many parts like brake pads and shoes backed by a lifetime warranty.

However, an objective introduction must also address varied customer experiences. While one customer had a "great experience" with "straightforward" management and "fair pricing," praising the "dedication to customer service" from the staff, another experience highlights a significant issue with pricing transparency and honoring promotional offers. The customer who purchased a Groupon for a synthetic oil change reported being told their car needed a "certain type of synthetic oil" that cost significantly more, despite the Groupon explicitly stating it was for synthetic oil. This incident led to the customer feeling "tried to get over on" and strongly advising against using the service. This suggests that while customer service can be excellent, there might be inconsistencies in how promotions are handled or in the transparency of pricing for specific vehicle requirements.

In conclusion, Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers at 11910 GA Hwy 9, Alpharetta, GA 30009, USA, is a comprehensive "Auto Repair Station" offering a wide array of tire sales and automotive maintenance and repair services. The environment is designed for efficient service, and their offerings span from tire installation and oil changes to brake repairs and comprehensive vehicle inspections. Key features include their extensive service list, nationwide network as part of Monro, Inc., various financing options, and strong warranties. While they actively promote through coupons, mobile service, and a price guarantee, customer experiences regarding pricing transparency and honoring promotions can vary, indicating a need for clear communication and careful confirmation of service costs, especially when utilizing external deals like Groupons.

Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers Customer Reviews

I had a great experience at this tire shop! Dave, the store manager, was straightforward and provided accurate time estimates, which I really appreciated. His genuine approach made the whole process smooth. Even the tire technician, who was clearly on his lunch break carrying a fast food bag, took the time to greet me outside the shop and ask how he could help. It’s nice to see such dedication to customer service! Overall, the pricing was fair, the wait was reasonable, and I left feeling satisfied. I recommend this place for your tire needs!

I purchased a Groupon for an oil change for $31.99. When I made my appointment over the phone, I explained I had a Groupon, gave the year make model of my car and all. Keep in mind I said the Groupon was for $31.99. I drive over to this place, get to the counter, I cannot remember the guy’s name but he then proceeds to tell me the oil change is going to cost more than the Groupon. I ask how much and why, he proceeds to tell me it’ll me $50+ extra because my car needed synthetic oil. I point to the Groupon and say look right here. This Groupon is for synthetic oil. He then proceeds to say my car needs a certain type of synthetic oil which was a lie. I left. Basically tried to get over on me and charge me full price for an oil change even though I had already bought a Groupon and of course the Groupon is non-refundable so this company got paid for doing absolutely nothing but trying to get over on me. First time coming here and definitely is the last. I wouldn’t recommend this place AT ALL. Please go somewhere else where they won’t try to get over on you.

I came here last week because my check engine light was on, showed a photo of the code reader result I got for a free reading at Autozone because Mr.Tire will charge you around $100 to get it read. I asked if they were still going to charge me for that, because if that were the case I'd rather take my car elsewhere and the service desk guy said he could work with me. He then asked if I just wanted to talk to the mechanics, so I said sure and they read my car and it gave them the same code and went ahead to change the sparkplugs to fix it. While they were working on my car they told me my car needed new brakes/rotors. The service desk guy explained there is a gold and silver plan, but only told me the price difference between them and never properly explained what one plan offers vs the other one. I looked on their website which states the gold one offers a warranty, but the silver one doesn't. After asking if that was the only difference, I was explained the more expensive plan (gold one) grants you better brand quality items. I'm more than willing to pay more for a better quality equipment to make my car last longer, but I just wish I was explained to better about that rather than having to pull up the website and treated like I'm pulling their leg off for asking when I'm spending almost $1k or more for everything. I know this is a business and the workers are just doing their job because it's how the company operates and that's why they're trying to upsell me, but I am tired of being taken advantage of for not knowing things. And I am upset that the service desk person did not explain things to me and acts as if I am the rude one for asking for basic information for the service I'm paying for. Besides that, the two mechanics were really nice and seemed like honest and good working people. They explained things better to me and were more than willing to ask the service desk guy for a quote to help me out. I've taken my car here in the past as well for oil changes and they never ask if you'd prefer the 3k or 5k oil change (depends what car you have and what oil it can take) they just do it and you pay what you get. You have to ask and make an effort to really talk to them. I just want to take my car to a place where they can explain basic info of what needs to be done and what I'm paying to get done for a reasonable price. All I'm asking is for more communication, and honesty. And, clearly this business is not it. It's fine if you get regular service stuff, but anything more you're looking for a lot of miscommunication and frustration that could've been avoided in the first place.
