I would give no stars if I could, spent so much money here on my Dodge Cummins transmission to get it back in WORSE condition than it already was. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I had a very bad experience with this outfit. I needed a fly wheel replaced on my step van. I was in a small town in NC headed for Florida. No-one locally had a rack for the height of this vehicle except Mountain Air. I had to wait three weeks for them to get to it one excuse after another - the lift was broken or someone was sick. The day I took it in I had it running as you may know when teeth are missing on the flywheel it may start or not so I wanted them to get it in the building. Dennis the owner had to persuade his son to come out and get it. The son was in a mad mood fighting with his girlfriend so Dennis told me. He did not look at me or speak to me. On picking up the van two days later I felt a vibration on the pedal. I pulled over and crawled under the van only to find the bracket that holds the drive shaft on was hanging by one bolt. It took the owner,a week to come out and put the bracket on. Once on the road I had more problems a bad transmission leak he had apparently knocked the filler tube off and sliliconed it and not done a good job. He had not replaced the old motor mounts or transmission mounts and the drive shaft was damaged. On top of this the "new" starter had to be replaced at 2 months old. I called the owner of the shop, Dennis, and he did not answer his phone or return any of my calls. The son who works for him ( since Dennis is too old to do much of the work) was a carpenter and when that collapsed he went to work for his father. I do not know if he is a licensed tech or not. I do know my vehicle was damaged by this outfit and they will not even return a phone call I have had to replace motor mounts, transmission mount ,repair transmission leak and replace drive shaft parts and have a new starter installed. Motor mounts are not that expensive it is the labor that costs and he should not have remounted the engine with bad motor mounts. That is bad mechanics and very sloppy work.

We have been using Dennis as our mechanic for almost a year. We have two older vehicles, and he keeps them running. Prices always reasonable - willing to explain cost and repairs - wonderful business - wonderful people.
