Mike's Tire & Auto Service Introduce
Mike's Tire & Auto Service, situated at 119 W Beckwith Dr, Galesburg, MI 49053, USA, operates within the platform category of "Auto Repair Stations." The business is accessible by phone at (269) 665-9967 or via mobile at +1 269-665-9967, serving the local community in Galesburg and the surrounding areas of Michigan. As an auto repair station, Mike's Tire & Auto Service is expected to provide a range of services related to vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, with a specific emphasis on tire services, as suggested by its name.
The services offered by Mike's Tire & Auto Service would typically include a comprehensive suite of automotive care. Given the prominence of "Tire" in its name, primary services would undoubtedly involve tire sales, installation, balancing, rotation, and repair, including flat tire fixes. Beyond tire-specific work, a general "Auto Service" implies a broader range of mechanical repairs. This commonly includes routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements (air, oil, cabin), and fluid checks and top-offs. More extensive services would likely encompass brake inspections and repairs (pads, rotors, calipers), suspension and steering system maintenance (shocks, struts, alignments), battery testing and replacement, and potentially basic engine diagnostics and repairs for common issues. For businesses that cater to service fleets, as one review suggests, the capability to handle multiple vehicles efficiently and provide consistent, reliable service for various makes and models is crucial.
The environment at Mike's Tire & Auto Service elicits mixed feedback from customers, suggesting a need for a nuanced understanding. One review highlights a perception of unprofessional conduct and potentially discriminatory attitudes. This customer reported an experience where staff were "cussing for no reason at all," appeared unwilling to help, and exhibited what was described as a "racist attitude." The reviewer advised individuals "of color" to avoid the establishment, suggesting preferential treatment based on appearance. This perspective points to a potentially unwelcoming or unprofessional atmosphere for some clientele, and concerns about equitable service. Conversely, another customer provided a highly positive review, commending the "service quality and speed with which they repair vehicles" as "unmatched." This reviewer also noted that the staff are "reasonably priced and very accommodating to our schedule," specifically mentioning their positive experience with maintaining and repairing a "service fleet for over a year." This disparity in experiences suggests that while some customers encounter difficulties, others find the service to be excellent and efficient, particularly for business accounts or regular clients. The presence of "plenty of cars in the parking lot" mentioned in one review indicates a potentially busy establishment, which could lead to wait times, as alluded to by the customer frustrated by an "hour wait to change a flat tire with a spare" while staff appeared to be "just standing around." The environment, therefore, appears to be one where efficiency and customer interaction can vary significantly depending on the individual experience.
The features of Mike's Tire & Auto Service, as described by customer feedback, revolve around both its strengths and weaknesses in customer service and operational efficiency. A significant feature, as praised by one reviewer, is the perceived "quality and speed" of their vehicle repairs, particularly for fleet maintenance. This suggests that for certain clientele, Mike's Tire & Auto Service is capable of delivering fast and effective solutions for a range of automotive issues, making them a reliable partner for businesses or individuals requiring quick turnarounds. Their willingness to be "accommodating to our schedule" is another key feature, indicating flexibility and a customer-centric approach for those who need to coordinate vehicle services around their operational needs. The "reasonably priced" aspect is also a notable feature, suggesting that their services offer good value for money, which is a significant factor for any auto repair customer.
However, another critical feature, or rather a significant point of concern, is the potential for inconsistent customer service and perceived discriminatory behavior. The allegations of "unprofessional and cussing" staff, "racist attitude," and perceived preferential treatment based on a customer's appearance are serious claims that highlight a critical area for improvement. While these are individual customer perceptions, they represent a direct impact on the customer experience and overall reputation. The perceived inefficiency with a simple task like changing a flat tire, leading to an hour's wait when staff appeared to be idle, also points to potential issues with workflow management or customer prioritization. Therefore, the features of Mike's Tire & Auto Service can be characterized by a strong technical capability and efficiency for some clients, contrasted with significant customer service and attitude concerns for others. This duality in customer experience is a crucial aspect of their operational profile.

Mike's Tire & Auto Service Customer Reviews
If I could put zero stars that is exactly what I would give it. Came to the place and there were plenty of cars in the parking lot, and also the man that was at the place was so unprofessional and cussing for no reason at all. Did not want to help and it showed, racist attitude showed as well. If you are of color do not take your vehicle here, if you are the typical blue eyed and blond hair that winks and flirts and throws smiles I am sure they will service you well. Never again. It does not take an hour wait to change a flat tire with a spare, especially if you are not working on a car and just standing around.

The service quality and speed with which they repair vehicles is unmatched. They have been maintaining and repairing our service fleet for over a year now and we have had nothing but great luck with the guys. They are reasonably priced and very accommodating to our schedule. I highly recommend Mike's!!

I thought I found a reliable mechanic, but I was mistaken. Brought my car in to have struts put on, and they gave my car back to me with my brake lights on, with no comment to me. They just let me drive away. When I brought it back I noticed they sheared off one brake sensor wire (told me it was like that when I brought it in, it wasn't), and cracked the other sensor. They did nothing to fix their mistake. I then gave them another chance with an exhaust issue. They had previously fixed similar problems, so I thought they could be trusted with it. I brought my car in at 9am and the day passed with no notification from them as to what was going on. I had to call them repeatedly, until someone finally answered within 5 minutes of closing time, to tell me they didn't feel like fixing it. My car sat there for 8 hours, and they didn't even have the courtesy to call and tell me they wouldn't fix it. The owner also seems to have a real problem dealing with people in a polite way. He acts annoyed when you call, and when you bring your car in. He lacks respect for people's time, money, and property. There is absolutely no reason to treat people like this. I would suggest that people consider going elsewhere, but finding a mechanic who is honest and professional seems impossible.
