Midas Auto Repair West Bloomfield

I usually refrain from making bad reviews on establishments even if service is not favorable but this was all round bad experience with this location especially when you trust them with your safety. Took my car into change front brake pads, they told me couple hours in the morning and should be done fairly soon. 5 hours later I contacted them for update and they said they had installed the wrong brakes so they have to redo them with the correct parts. Finally after another 2-3 hours go by and entire day just change two front pads they finally have my car ready. Fast forward a week and my front breaks start squeaking every time I’d press on pedal. This shouldn’t happen on newly installed brakes. Over time the squeak eventually stops and I start noticing rubbing sound whenever I brake. The brake caliper has come off the brake pads and is only being held together by the rim! Huge Safety hazard! I don’t trust this shop with my car. Now I have to spend more time and money on different shop to take care of something that should have been installed properly the first time around!

Great service today, usually I go to the Southfield location and I’m not sure why I do because Lena took care of me on a busy day. They honored my online coupon for my oil change with no problem and I think it was Taylor who I initially dealt with and he handled it good. If I have to come back and pay full price for an oil change I will if there is no special, plus Lena is smokin 😍 lol

I had a fantastic experience at Midas for an oil change this time. The service was prompt and the new staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly. Never had such a great experience before. I am glad that they changed the Front desk staff to ensure great customer experience. Also, The technicians were thorough, ensuring my car was in top shape. It’s reassuring to know that they genuinely care about their customers and their vehicles. Highly recommend this location for anyone needing reliable service!

I attended the Car Care Basics Workshop on Saturday (December 14, 2024) and had a fantastic experience. Taylor was a great host, and both Lonnie and Josh showed us so much of what we should know about what goes on under the hood. All three were great in answering all our questions and walking us through everything from oil changes to fluid levels to tires, brakes, shocks and struts, belts and hoses and even the tools needed to keep a car well maintained. I can’t recommend this workshop highly enough. Great job with the workshop, guys!

Great service! Went in for an oil change and they did it all from all change to tire rotation and an overall check up! They took care of my car very fast and Mark help me. He was great! Very kind and enthusiastic about his job. His positive attitude was very refreshing!
