M & W Auto Parts, Body Shop & Garage, Inc. Introduce

M & W Auto Parts, Body Shop & Garage, Inc., located at 1758 State Hwy 55, Clover, SC 29710, USA, functions as a multifaceted establishment within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, aiming to provide a broad range of services and goods to local users. As its name suggests, the business endeavors to cover various aspects of automotive needs, including the sale of auto parts, offering body shop services, and providing general garage repairs. This combination of offerings positions M & W Auto Parts, Body Shop & Garage, Inc. as a potentially comprehensive solution for vehicle owners in the Clover area.

The environment at M & W Auto Parts, Body Shop & Garage, Inc. appears to be one where a diverse range of automotive solutions are available. However, based on the provided customer reviews, the overall impression of the environment is mixed, with some customers expressing significant concerns regarding professionalism and customer service. One review describes a customer driving "2 hours to this place for an engine" and being "hesitant to buy because of the condition it was in," which suggests that the parts presented might not always meet high aesthetic or apparent quality standards. The review also mentions a "rude response" when attempting to address a warranty issue, indicating a potentially challenging customer service experience. Another review highlights a discrepancy in pricing and advice given to a customer, leading to confusion and dissatisfaction. These instances suggest that while the facility offers a wide array of services, the customer interaction and consistency of information may vary, impacting the perceived professionalism and trustworthiness of the environment. Customers are advised to exercise caution and ensure clear communication and documentation for any transactions, particularly those involving warranties or significant repairs.

M & W Auto Parts, Body Shop & Garage, Inc. theoretically offers a comprehensive suite of services and goods to address various automotive needs. Based on their name, these include:

  • Auto Parts Sales: This would involve selling new and potentially used automotive components. The reviews specifically mention the sale of an "engine," indicating their capacity to provide major vehicle components. Other information gathered online suggests they are a full-service auto salvage yard and used auto parts dealer, serving the Southeast since 1946. They are stated to offer a large inventory of late-model recycled parts for cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs, with an extensive inventory of Cadillac and Corvette parts. This includes quality-tested used engines, transmissions, rear ends, and other mechanical parts. They also offer "like new auto body parts such as doors, fenders, hoods, taillights, headlights, bumpers, body panels," and "low priced used tires, wheels, batteries, accessories and more." They reportedly offer a nationwide parts locating service and local non-residential delivery.
  • Body Shop Services: As a "Body Shop," they would typically provide collision repair services, including dent removal, painting, frame straightening, and general bodywork to restore vehicles after accidents or to address cosmetic damage.
  • Garage Services (General Auto Repair): Operating as a "Garage," they are expected to offer general vehicle maintenance and repair services. This would usually encompass mechanical repairs, diagnostics, oil changes, brake service, suspension work, and other common automotive issues.

The features of M & W Auto Parts, Body Shop & Garage, Inc. that are intended to draw customers include their broad spectrum of services and their long-standing presence in the auto parts industry (since 1946, according to online information). This comprehensive offering means that customers might be able to find a wide variety of parts and services at a single location, potentially saving them time and effort in searching for different providers. Their reported large inventory of used and salvaged parts, particularly for specific makes like Cadillac and Corvette, could be a unique selling point for those seeking hard-to-find or cost-effective components. The availability of a "nationwide parts locating service" further expands their reach and potential to assist customers. However, critical customer feedback highlights significant concerns regarding the reliability of their service and warranty commitments. One review explicitly warns of a broken "warranty in case it’s bad," and a "rude response" when attempting to resolve the issue. Another review points to inconsistencies in "fixing his car for 200 bucks" and then stating "something totally different," which indicates a lack of clear and consistent communication regarding pricing and the scope of work. These issues directly impact the perceived reliability and trustworthiness of the business, which are crucial features for any auto repair station.

From a promotional perspective, the information provided paints a mixed picture. While the sheer breadth of services (auto parts, body shop, and garage) could serve as a promotional hook, the negative customer reviews actively work against traditional promotional efforts. There is no specific promotional information provided, such as discounts or special offers. Instead, the current "promotional" aspect is defined by the experiences of past customers. The stern warnings like "Buyer beware!" and "avoid it at all costs" from customer reviews are powerful negative promotions that would deter potential new clients. The inconsistency in pricing and apparent lack of willingness to honor warranties, as described, significantly undermine any positive perception. For a business in the "Auto Repair Stations" category, trust and reliability are paramount, and the given reviews suggest these are areas of concern. While the phone number (803) 222-4586 and mobile phone number +1 803-222-4586 are provided for contact, potential customers would likely be influenced by the strongly negative testimonials when considering M & W Auto Parts, Body Shop & Garage, Inc. for their automotive needs.

Buyer beware! Drove 2 hours to this place for an engine. When I seen the engine I was hesitant to buy because of the condition it was in. We finally agreed that if I buy it? I want a warranty in case it’s bad. Based on first impressions of this place, deep down I knew this place would not honor any warranty. The guy at the front desk promised and assured the engine was good. After spending the time and labor to put in the engine to only find out the bottom end is destroyed. Called to speak with the salesman only to get a rude response. People please use your common sense with this place avoid it at all costs.

I went with a friend to get a starter for her car. The gentlemen that were there were very helpful. She must have called ahead because the part was already pulled. While I was in there, I noticed an old buggy, so I asked about it. The guy said it was a doctor's horse-drawn buggy. The wheels were wooden! If you need a used part, check out M & W Auto Parts.
