LKQ West Deptford Introduce

LKQ West Deptford, situated at 39 Phoenix Dr, West Deptford, NJ 08086, USA, is a prominent establishment operating within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, specifically as a supplier of parts. While the category typically denotes repair services, LKQ's role is to provide the necessary components and materials for such repairs. Their contact numbers are (856) 829-4700 and +1 856-829-4700. Operating hours generally appear to be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekends closed.

As a key player in the "Auto Repair Stations" supply chain, LKQ West Deptford is part of LKQ Corporation, a global leader in providing alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize vehicles. This means they are not directly performing repairs but are supplying the parts and materials that mechanics and body shops (and potentially individual consumers) need. Their business model is rooted in offering a broad range of replacement parts, including recycled OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), aftermarket, and remanufactured components, as well as automotive paint and paint-related supplies. This makes them a crucial resource for cost-effective and environmentally friendly vehicle repair solutions.

The environment at LKQ West Deptford would primarily be that of a large auto parts warehouse and distribution center. One would expect extensive shelving and storage areas for a vast inventory of parts, ranging from small electrical components to large body panels, engines, and transmissions. The facility would likely be organized to efficiently process orders, with designated areas for receiving, sorting, and shipping parts. For customers picking up parts, there would be a counter or 'will call' area. Given their focus on recycled parts, there might also be a salvage yard component or a strong connection to one, where vehicles are dismantled to harvest reusable components. The West Deptford location also functions as an LKQ Refinish branch, implying dedicated space for mixing and distributing automotive paints, coatings, and related materials, potentially including specialized equipment for color matching and paint preparation. The overall environment would be geared towards high-volume inventory management and customer service for parts procurement.

The services and goods offered by LKQ West Deptford are extensive and cater to a wide range of automotive repair needs. These include:

  • Recycled OEM Parts: This is a cornerstone of LKQ's business, offering high-quality, used original equipment parts from salvaged vehicles. This provides a cost-effective and environmentally conscious alternative to new parts. This includes engines, transmissions, body panels (fenders, bumpers, hoods), lights, mirrors, and more.
  • Aftermarket Parts: Providing new, non-OEM parts that are designed to be direct replacements for original components, often at a lower cost than OEM parts.
  • Remanufactured Parts: Offering components like engines and transmissions that have been rebuilt to original specifications, providing a more affordable and sustainable option than new assemblies.
  • Automotive Paint and Refinish Supplies: As an LKQ Refinish location, they supply a comprehensive range of paint, coatings, abrasives, fillers, spray guns, and other paint-related products for auto body repair and painting. This includes services like paint mixing and potentially inventory management systems for larger clients.
  • Customer Support for Parts Sourcing: As indicated by one positive review mentioning "Alex is very helpful," staff are available to assist customers in finding the correct parts.
  • Core Return Processing: For certain parts, particularly remanufactured ones, a core charge is applied, which is refunded upon return of the old, repairable part. This is an integral part of their business model.
  • Delivery Services: LKQ typically offers delivery of parts to repair shops, which is a crucial service for their commercial customers.

Based on customer reviews, several features of LKQ West Deptford emerge, both positive and areas for concern:

  • Efficient Service/No Waiting Around: One positive review highlights "no waiting around and Alex is very helpful." This suggests efficiency in their operations and responsive customer service, which is highly valued in the parts industry to minimize downtime for mechanics and individuals.
  • Knowledgeable Staff: The mention of "Alex is very helpful" points to staff members who are knowledgeable and capable of assisting customers with their parts needs.
  • Extensive Inventory: As part of LKQ, they benefit from a vast inventory of recycled, aftermarket, and remanufactured parts, giving customers a broad selection and potentially quicker access to needed components.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: Offering recycled and remanufactured parts often translates to significant cost savings compared to new OEM parts, a key feature for budget-conscious repairs.

However, a significant negative review highlights concerns regarding product quality and customer service follow-through. A customer purchased a turbo that had issues, received a replacement with another crack, and was promised a $30 discount by a supervisor named Kyle, which was later dishonored. This indicates potential issues with:

  • Quality Control for Used Parts: The recurring issue of cracks in the turbos suggests a need for more rigorous inspection of used parts before sale.
  • Supervisor Accountability/Integrity: The supervisor "KYLE" going back on his word over a small sum raises serious questions about trust and consistency in customer dealings. This can severely damage customer confidence, as the review explicitly states, "How can you purchase used parts from anyone whose word is meaningless."
  • Customer Satisfaction and Resolution: The customer's "extremely disappointed" sentiment and becoming a "former customer" illustrate a failure in resolving issues to satisfaction and maintaining customer loyalty.

For promotional information, LKQ West Deptford, and LKQ as a whole, typically emphasizes its role as a leading provider of sustainable and cost-effective auto parts. Promotional messages could include:

  • "The Smart Choice for Auto Parts": Highlighting the economic and environmental benefits of choosing recycled and remanufactured parts.
  • Extensive Inventory: Promoting their vast selection of parts for various makes and models, including hard-to-find components.
  • Refinish Expertise: For the body shop sector, promoting their comprehensive range of automotive paint, coatings, and body shop supplies, emphasizing quality products and knowledgeable staff.
  • Efficiency and Convenience: Highlighting "no waiting around" and quick service for parts pickup and potentially reliable delivery options.
  • Commitment to Quality: Despite the negative review, a company like LKQ would typically promote its quality assurance processes and warranties on parts. If they have internal measures to address issues like those described, it should be part of their messaging.

However, in light of the critical feedback, any promotional efforts should also consider how to address concerns about quality consistency and customer service integrity. A focus on improved quality control, transparent dealings, and empowered staff to honor commitments would be crucial for regaining trust. While the "no waiting" experience is positive, the core issue of a supervisor reneging on a promise overshadows it. Effective communication and consistent adherence to agreements are vital for long-term customer relationships in the parts industry.

In conclusion, LKQ West Deptford serves as a vital component supplier for the automotive repair industry in West Deptford, NJ, offering a wide array of recycled, aftermarket, and remanufactured auto parts, as well as refinish products. While they aim for efficiency and helpful staff, the documented customer experience highlights a significant concern regarding the quality of used parts and the integrity of customer service agreements. For local users, LKQ West Deptford offers a potentially cost-effective source for parts, but customers should exercise due diligence, especially when purchasing used components, and confirm all agreements in writing to avoid potential disputes.

LKQ West Deptford Customer Reviews

It is no waiting around and Alex is very helpful

Purchased a turbo for a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The end up getting heat cracks per my mechanic so I mentioned to them to look out for it. Recieved one, had a bad crack. Called recieved another with a smaller crack. Decided to gamble with this one and the supervisor, KYLE, agreed to a $30 discount. Called a few days later to have the core picked up and now KYLE, the supervisor, will not honor the $30. Its only $30, but the fact that KYLE, the supervisor, went back on his word over $30 just shows the character of who is running the show there. How can you purchase used parts from anyone whose word is meaningless. Extremely disappointed and a former customer.
