LIGHTNER TIRE CO. Introduce

LIGHTNER TIRE CO. operates as a specialized entity within the broader "Auto Repair Stations" category, focusing predominantly on the commercial and industrial tire sector, alongside comprehensive scrap tire disposal services. Established as a family-owned and operated business since 1948, LIGHTNER TIRE CO. has carved out a significant niche by providing a crucial service to businesses and individuals alike: high-quality used truck tires and casings, as well as responsible and legally compliant scrap tire disposal. While traditional "auto repair stations" might focus on passenger vehicle maintenance, LIGHTNER TIRE CO.'s specialization means they are a vital resource for fleets, agricultural operations, heavy machinery users, and anyone with commercial or specialty tire needs, including the complex process of tire recycling and disposal.

The environment at LIGHTNER TIRE CO. is characterized by its operational efficiency and clear focus on its specialized offerings. As a facility primarily dealing with commercial and industrial tires, the physical space is typically robust and organized to handle large volumes of tires. The premises would include designated areas for storing a vast inventory of used semi-truck tires, light truck tire sizes, tractor tires, machinery tires, and earth mover tires. The work areas are set up to facilitate the handling, inspection, and preparation of these heavy-duty tires. For scrap tire disposal, there would be designated intake and processing zones, adhering to environmental regulations. As a licensed and insured scrap tire transporter with the Ohio EPA, their environment reflects compliance and professionalism in waste management. While there might not be a plush customer waiting lounge akin to a passenger car repair shop, the focus is on efficient service at the counter for inquiries and transactions. The overall environment is practical, structured, and designed to manage the specific demands of large-scale tire operations and recycling, ensuring safety and adherence to industry standards.

LIGHTNER TIRE CO. provides a distinct set of services and goods for sale, primarily revolving around commercial and specialty tires. Their core business includes the sale of high-quality used semi-truck tires and casings. They also maintain an ongoing supply of used light truck tire sizes, tractor tires, machinery tires, and earth mover tires, catering to a diverse range of commercial and industrial applications. It is important to note that, as explicitly stated by the company, they "DO NOT SELL CAR TIRES." This clear specialization ensures their resources and expertise are concentrated on the commercial sector. Beyond sales, a significant and environmentally crucial service they offer is scrap tire disposal. They accept scrap tires at their location and function as a licensed and insured scrap tire transporter with the Ohio EPA. This service is vital for businesses and individuals who need to responsibly dispose of tires in compliance with state regulations. Customers can bring in passenger and light truck tires, semi-truck tires, and even larger tires, with pricing varying by size. This dual focus on supplying used commercial tires and providing compliant disposal solutions makes LIGHTNER TIRE CO. an indispensable resource within the local automotive and environmental landscape.

Several key features define the operational excellence and value proposition of LIGHTNER TIRE CO. A paramount feature is their deep specialization in commercial and specialty tires. This focus means they possess extensive knowledge and inventory tailored specifically to the needs of heavy vehicles, agricultural equipment, and industrial machinery, which differentiates them from general auto parts stores. Their long-standing history, being family-owned and operated since 1948, signifies decades of experience, reliability, and established relationships within the industry. This longevity speaks volumes about their consistent quality and trusted service. Another crucial feature is their status as a licensed and insured scrap tire transporter with the Ohio EPA. This accreditation is vital for businesses and individuals seeking legitimate and environmentally responsible disposal of scrap tires, ensuring compliance and preventing illegal dumping. Their ability to handle a wide range of tire sizes, from passenger to earth mover, for disposal, offers a convenient and comprehensive solution for various clients. The accessibility of their services, allowing customers to drop off tires at their location, further adds to their convenience. While they don't sell new tires or passenger car tires, their emphasis on providing "high quality used" commercial tires offers a cost-effective solution for businesses looking to manage their operational expenses without compromising on essential equipment. Their clear operational hours from Monday to Friday facilitate easy access for commercial clients during standard business days.

When it comes to promotional information, LIGHTNER TIRE CO.'s approach is typically straightforward and value-driven, reflecting the practical nature of their specialized services. Rather than traditional sales on new car tires, their promotions focus on their core offerings. For instance, their website explicitly outlines their scrap tire disposal pricing, which can be seen as a transparent promotional feature. They clearly state current prices such as "$5.00 each" for passenger and light truck tires and "$9.00 each" for semi-truck tires, with larger tires priced according to size upon inquiry. This upfront pricing for a necessary environmental service is a form of promotion, as it provides clarity and predictability for customers. Similarly, for their used tire sales, while prices vary by size, the very nature of selling "high quality used semi truck tires & casings" is a value proposition in itself, promoting cost savings compared to purchasing new. They also emphasize their consistent supply of various commercial and specialty tire sizes, which is a key promotional point for businesses reliant on specific tire types. Since they operate primarily within a commercial and industrial context, their promotional efforts may also involve direct communication with fleet managers, agricultural businesses, and industrial operators. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on pricing for scrap tire disposal or availability and pricing of used commercial and specialty tires, local users are best served by contacting LIGHTNER TIRE CO. directly via their provided phone number or visiting their facility during business hours. Their website serves as a primary source for their service details and pricing transparency.

LIGHTNER TIRE CO. Customer Reviews

I brought 4 tires here to dispose of the way your supposed to. Google maps brought me in the back way it seems and I followed directions to where it looked like an office. A older guy was operating a forklift nearby. I parked and went inside. They were going to help me and said just see the guy on the forklift so I went back out and he had already backed into my van. When I went up to him, I didn't know yet. He says, hey I backed in to your van. You shouldn't have been parked there to begin with and I'm not paying to fix it! WHAT??? I was parked and not even in it and they're all saying they're not paying for it???? Police have been called.

This place is dope. Called them to drop off some tires because I just got new ones. The lady was very nice and professional. She told me it was less than $5 to drop off sedan tires. I was like whaaa??? I said really? She said. Yep! I had something to do but I liked her so I pulled up within 5 min. They all were nice when I got there I backed in talked to the lady I spoke to on the phone. She was nice in person too. But anyway if y'all need to drop your tires off go to this place. Don't pay them shops like they tried to do me. I think $20. Cap. Smh. Lol. Oh yea, they charge a little more for truck tires. Couple dollars. Holla!

Great place to drop off and dispose of old tires. Staff was kind and helpful. Will definitely use Lightner Tire again if need to get rid of tires again. Was a little nervous when I pulled up and walked in. But everyone was kind and helpful throughout the process.
