Lethal Performance Speed Shop Introduce

For automotive enthusiasts and vehicle owners in Jonesborough, Tennessee, seeking to enhance their vehicle's performance or requiring specialized repairs, Lethal Performance Speed Shop offers services within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category. Located at 1404 Persimmon Ridge Rd a2, Jonesborough, TN 37659, this business can be reached at (423) 788-9256 or via mobile at +1 423-788-9256. It's important for potential customers to understand the duality of experiences reported by past clients when considering Lethal Performance Speed Shop for their automotive needs.

Environment and Operational Focus

As a "Speed Shop," Lethal Performance likely boasts an environment geared towards high-performance vehicles and their specific requirements. This would typically include a garage equipped with specialized tools for engine tuning, suspension modifications, and the installation of aftermarket performance parts. The atmosphere might appeal to those passionate about cars, reflecting a focus on power, speed, and precision. Their address in Jonesborough, TN, suggests a local business catering to the regional automotive community. The nature of a "speed shop" implies a facility that is accustomed to working on customized vehicles and understands the intricacies of performance upgrades. However, it's also clear from customer feedback that while they deal with performance parts, they also offer repair services, such as transmission work, which would require a standard auto repair bay setup.

Services Offered

Lethal Performance Speed Shop, while operating under the umbrella of "Auto Repair Stations," clearly specializes in services that cater to performance enhancement and perhaps some general automotive repairs. Based on the provided reviews, their services can be broadly categorized into two main areas:

  • **Performance Parts and Sales:** One review highlights their role in facilitating the replacement of a defective third-party part under warranty. This strongly suggests that Lethal Performance acts as a retailer or distributor for various performance automotive components. This service involves not just selling parts but also potentially assisting with warranty claims and ensuring customer satisfaction with aftermarket products. This segment of their business appears to be well-regarded, with an emphasis on customer support.
  • **Automotive Repair (including Transmission Repair):** The negative review specifically details a transmission replacement service. This indicates that beyond selling parts, Lethal Performance also performs mechanical repairs on vehicles. While the "Speed Shop" moniker implies a focus on upgrades, the inclusion of repair services, such as transmission work, expands their offering to include more fundamental automotive needs. It is plausible that they also offer other general repair and maintenance services, though the available information specifically highlights transmission work.

Therefore, local users might approach Lethal Performance Speed Shop for purchasing performance parts, seeking advice on vehicle modifications, or for specific mechanical repairs, particularly those that might intersect with high-performance vehicles.

Features and Customer Experiences

The features of Lethal Performance Speed Shop are distinctly highlighted by the contrasting customer experiences:

  • **Exceptional Customer Service for Parts & Liaison (Positive Feature):** One review unequivocally states, "CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE! I cannot emphasize this enough." This is a significant positive feature. The willingness of staff members like Shane M and Steve G to act as a "liaison to get my part replaced under warranty" and making it "easy for me, the customer" demonstrates a strong commitment to post-sale support and customer advocacy, even for issues originating from third-party products. This suggests a dedicated and helpful front-office or sales team that prioritizes customer satisfaction for performance parts.
  • **Concerns Regarding Transmission Repair & Warranty Honoring (Negative Feature/Cautionary Note):** In stark contrast, the second review presents severe issues concerning their transmission repair service. The customer claims a 7k repair failed in "less than a month," followed by a denial of warranty due to a dubious claim about a "crushed oil pan" that a "more trustworthy mechanic" debunked. This highlights a critical potential negative feature: a perceived lack of accountability or willingness to honor warranties for repair work, and potentially questionable diagnostic practices. This review also implicitly raises concerns about the quality of the repair work itself, leading to significant financial loss for the customer.

Therefore, a key feature of Lethal Performance Speed Shop is its bifurcated customer perception: excellent support for performance parts, but serious concerns regarding the integrity and reliability of their mechanical repair services, specifically transmissions.

Promotional Information and Market Positioning

Based on the available information, the promotional appeal of Lethal Performance Speed Shop would lean heavily on its reputation for high-quality performance parts and exceptional customer service in that domain. The positive review serves as a powerful testimonial, suggesting that for performance upgrades and related parts, they are a highly reliable and customer-focused provider. This could attract enthusiasts looking for a helpful and knowledgeable source for vehicle modification components.

However, any promotional efforts would need to contend with the significant negative feedback regarding their repair services. The phrase "Welcome to Crooked Derek’s crooked transmission repair" is a very strong deterrent. For local users, this conflicting information creates a complex picture. If Lethal Performance were to explicitly promote their services, they would likely emphasize:

  • Their expertise in high-performance automotive parts and accessories.
  • Their commitment to customer support and warranty assistance for the products they sell.
  • Potentially, their diagnostic capabilities for performance vehicles.

However, to maintain an objective introduction, it's vital to present both sides. For potential customers, it means exercising caution, especially when considering extensive mechanical repairs like transmission work. It would be advisable for local users to:

  • Inquire specifically about their policies and warranties for repair services.
  • Seek multiple quotes and consider reviews related to specific repair types.
  • If possible, speak with other local enthusiasts or mechanics who have had work done at the shop.

In conclusion, Lethal Performance Speed Shop in Jonesborough, TN, appears to be a mixed bag. Their strength lies in their performance parts sales and accompanying customer service, where they have garnered significant praise. However, the severe negative experience detailed regarding a transmission repair raises serious questions about the reliability and accountability of their mechanical repair division. Local users are advised to approach with an understanding of these distinct aspects and prioritize their specific needs and concerns when considering this establishment for their automotive projects.

Lethal Performance Speed Shop Customer Reviews

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE! I cannot emphasize this enough. Had a part found to be defective (created by a third party) and lethal performance acted as a liaison to get my part replaced under warranty. They did and made it easy for me, the customer. Shane M and Steve G were excellent to work with!

Welcome to Crooked Derek’s crooked transmission repair. I had an 87 Iroc that I took up there to replace the trans. He did the job and charged me 7k. Less than a month later it went out again! I took it back and although it came with a “warranty”, he claimed it was my fault, claiming that my driveway had crushed my oil pan. I took it to a more trustworthy mechanic who said there was nothing wrong with my oil pan. I had the other mechanic replace the trans but I lost 7grand at this place. I wish I had sued him for not honoring his warranty but I had too much going on at the time. This was 2020 or 2021
