Went in to see if I could get an estimate on some body work. I waited several minutes in the lobby but no one came. I walked through the back door to the shop and said hello to the two men working there. The owner came to me and I asked if he could estimate a repair on my car. I told him that I was a referral from a local business he knew. He said, "I have to leave in 15 minutes. My shop is full. You can come back Monday." He was short and curt with his comment and there was no greeting. I said, "No thank you. I live 30 minutes away and I'll find something closer to my house." And I left. He's off my list of possible repair shops. That's no way to treat a potential customer. EDIT: Thank you for the comment Gabriel. You could have done a lot better. You didn't even greet me when I came into your business. You didn't apologize or show any empathy for not being able to help me. Thank you for reminding me about the comment I made when I left. I added that to my review. Bottom line, your business was open to the public when I arrived. Why would you close while a customer arrived before that time? The damage to my car was very small I was a referral. I already knew that you did excellent work. I read your Google reviews before I came to your shop. Your shop being full is not an excuse. I could have easily parked the car in front of one of your doors as it was raining outside. I could have emailed you all of my information, including the VIN & & specs on my car with pictures. Your reputation for a quality product is only part of the equation. Courtesy and empathy are paramount in the service industry. I'm retired now but I've been in the service industry since the mid 1970s. I have hired many people for my own company that I operated for 9 years. Dozens more for the companies that I managed as Director or VP of customer relations/operations over the years. If you worked for me and treated a customer that way, I would have had to fire you. I hope you have a nice holiday and I wish you great success in your business! 2nd EDIT: Gabriel, you are correct. I did not hear a chime when I entered your lobby. It was indeed your neighbor. I apologize for posting that and have corrected my comment. I have to ask you, why is there no chime? I think you have misconstrued the purpose of Google Reviews. A low score should remind you to do better in the area(s) specified. When people comment on my reviews (and they are not necessarily favorable), they usually comment to apologize for any shortcomings and ask for a second chance. Your comment is almost spiteful. Again, you represent your business and you show no empathy or value for a potential customer. I will not be removing my review. It is a fair assessment from a lifelong professional qualified to do the review. It is a service that I provide for free. I am in the top 20% of Google Reviewers. I have over 40k views on my work here. I have worked with many business managers on Google Reviews and ended up editing my review and my score as well as doing business with the company again. Gabriel is a beast at body work! I’ve known the guy for a long time now & consider him my brother from another mother. He has always told me the truth, his quality work, time frame to get the job done & he took good care of me on the price too. I highly recommend Gabriel & Lazar Motorsports.

Lazar Motorsports is a great shop for both auto body and mechanical work. My truck was in an accident and within a week Gabe was able to deliver an estimate, order parts, and complete the work. He was also willing to work with insurance on my behalf. The end result was a truck returned in perfect condition from an honest small business. This is a place you will be proud to support - I highly recommend.
