Lawrencebuilt - Dynospot Racing Customer Reviews

I have had a few engine builds tuned by Lawrence with no problem in the past but this time around was a different story. I'm sure many have great experiences and will continue too, but this is my personal experience as of recently... My B18c EF hatch was tuned 2 times by Lawrence within the span of a month, and is running brand new ID1050x injectors. At idle my AF/R was bouncing between 10.5-11.5 after his tunes which is extremely rich. I paid $700 initially for this full dyno tune and it made my oil smell like fuel within 50 miles of driving. It was looked over again by him, and then even got another full re tune on the dyno which was paid for by my engine builder, and still was running extremely rich. I changed my oil 2 times within the span of 100 miles and figured I would have someone else check on the tune which ended up to be at fault. I had another tuner look at it and he found that my deadtimes were set incorrectly to the old model ID1000cc injectors and my stock o2 sensor was enabled although I didn't have one which caused the AFR to fluctuate and be inconsistent. After contacting Lawrence with this information I initially got no reply, but then we talked on the phone for 20 minutes with absolutely no resolution other than being told it is a "difference of opinions and business practices" and that there is basically nothing he can do on my end to make it right. He never admitted fault to a single thing at all in the end, and me being the customer basically just got screwed over on 2 full dyno tunes. I kept being told "as long as you are happy in the end and it gets resolved" but that doesn't resolve my time and money wasted. I am not exaggerating when I say no fault was admitted at all. This is my absolute honest review, if it had been resolved in a better way or had there been fault admitted to the errors on the tune then I wouldn't be writing this. But this is a fair and honest review from my point of view of this transaction that happened and I would just like to let everyone know! $700 spent just to spend more getting re tuned!
