Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop Introduce

Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop, situated at 6000 Hwy 41 A, Pleasant View, TN 37146, USA, operates within the broad category of Auto Repair Stations. This establishment purports to offer services encompassing both general automotive mechanical repairs and auto body work, aiming to serve the diverse needs of vehicle owners in the Pleasant View area. As a combined auto repair and body shop, it theoretically provides a comprehensive solution for vehicles requiring maintenance, mechanical fixes, or collision repair.

The environment of a facility like Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop would typically consist of a service garage area for mechanical repairs and potentially a separate bay or section for bodywork, including painting. The mechanical repair area would be equipped with lifts, diagnostic tools, and standard automotive repair equipment, designed to handle issues ranging from routine maintenance to more complex engine or transmission problems. The body shop section would feature specialized equipment for dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, and a paint booth for refinishing. The customer reception area would likely be a common space for both types of services. While the ideal environment is one of efficiency and professionalism, the actual customer experience can significantly influence perceptions of cleanliness, organization, and overall atmosphere.

Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop, by its name, suggests a dual focus on general **auto repair** and **body shop** services. This implies that they handle a variety of automotive issues. While specific services are not explicitly detailed beyond general categories in the provided information, typical offerings for such a combined establishment would include:

  • General Mechanical Repairs: This could encompass engine diagnostics and repair, brake service, suspension work, transmission service, electrical system repair, and routine maintenance like oil changes and tune-ups.
  • Collision Repair: Addressing damage from accidents, including dent removal, frame straightening, panel replacement, and full vehicle repainting.
  • Vehicle Restoration: Potentially minor or major restoration work on older vehicles, depending on their specialization and equipment.
  • Inspection and Diagnostics: Identifying issues through vehicle checks and computer diagnostics.
The intent is to provide a one-stop shop for both functional and aesthetic vehicle repairs.

The features of Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop are presented through highly contrasting customer reviews, painting a very mixed picture of their operational quality and customer service. One review describes a "pleasant experience" where "Service was quick and the fee was very reasonable," with the customer indicating they "Will do business again if I need their services." This suggests that, for some, the shop delivers on efficiency and cost-effectiveness, which are desirable features for any auto repair service.

However, another review presents a severe negative account, highlighting significant concerns about reliability, accountability, and customer treatment. This customer's experience included:

  • Allegations of severe mechanical failure: The claim that they "blew up my engine" suggests a significant and potentially catastrophic error during repair work.
  • Extended service time: The vehicle being held "for almost 4 months" indicates extreme delays and potentially mismanagement of the repair process.
  • Lack of accountability and apology: The assertion that the shop "never apologized for anything" and Larry's alleged statement "why don't you just call a tow truck and bring it somewhere else" demonstrates a complete absence of accountability and professional courtesy in a high-stakes situation.
  • Questionable practices: The accusation of being shown "pictures of damaged parts that was not even from my car" raises serious concerns about deceptive practices and honesty.
  • Legal implications: The customer's insurance company reportedly "urged me to turn this over to my attorney," indicating the gravity of the issues encountered.
These starkly different experiences make it challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the shop's consistent features. While some customers might find their service quick and reasonably priced, others appear to have faced extremely problematic and unprofessional encounters. This dichotomy is a critical feature for any potential customer to consider.

Given the extremely divergent customer feedback, no specific promotional information can be objectively inferred or presented for Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop. Typically, businesses with strong positive reputations leverage testimonials and service guarantees. However, with the presence of severe negative claims, any general promotional messaging would need to be evaluated in light of these documented customer experiences. It is essential for potential customers to exercise due diligence. Individuals considering using Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop are strongly advised to contact them directly at (615) 746-8483 or +1 615-746-8483 to discuss their specific needs, obtain detailed quotes, and perhaps seek additional, more current reviews or references from other local users before committing to services. The contrasting experiences underscore the importance of thorough personal vetting when selecting an auto repair or body shop.

Larry's Auto Repair & Body Shop Customer Reviews

Stay away!!!These guys are as crooked as any mechanics I have ever brought my cars to(and I have encountered many) They blew up my engine, had my car for almost 4 months and never apologized for anything...they even showed me pictures of damaged parts that was not even from my car. After they blew up the engine, Larry had the gall to tell me "why don't you just call a tow truck and bring it somewhere else" showing zero accountability. My insurance company has urged me to turn this over to my attorney.
