Jiffy Lube

I took my car here over a year ago for an oil change. They drained the oil from the top and added new oil. I drove it around the block and brought it back for them to check the level and they said I was all good. I returned for another oil change in mid November of 2024 and they did the same service. They pulled out around 8 quarts and proceeded to ask me if the car took 8 quarts. I told them to look it up as they are the professionals. Lo and behold, they put 8 quarts in my car and it was supposed to have 5 quarts. I've been driving around wondering why the car bogs down when I accelerate and the car hood, at times, was scorching hot. It's unbelievable. Hopefully there is no long term damage to my engine. I would never go here again. This is a ridiculous error that could have and still may cause real damage to my engine.

Was exactly what I covet when it comes to getting an oil change. Quick efficient service and prices are you get what you pay for. Team members made recommendations but without making me feel pressured or like I'd be a cheap skate for not getting all the services I for sure need. Thanks for the help guys. I'll be back.

Technician shows my daughter a filthy cabin filter. But never did the technician enter her glove box to extract HER cabin filter. My daughter sat in the car during the oil change. She called me and I said don’t have them change it, we can at home. When she got home, I extracted the cabin filter from her car (having picked a new one up from our local auto parts store), but the cabin air filter was NOWHERE close to “dirty” and/or needing to be changed. At that point, I again asked my daughter if the tech accessed her glove box, she said no. What kind of crap is Jiffy Lube pulling?

I would give Jiffy Lube a better rating but two stars is what I would give. They offered the five thousand oil change since I drive back and forth once a month from Southern California to Central California and even replaced the belt for a new one because the belt had many cracks on it so I agreed to have it replaced. They even showed me where the cracks were before they replaced it. The service didnt take too long, say 40 minutes for the oil change and the belt replacement. I paid and the cashier took off $20 for any services over $150 which was, in my opinion not bad. I also ask my pops if it was a good idea to get the belt change and he agreed for that amount wasn't bad at all. I usually dont take my car to any big oil change companies but my dad had work and I needed a quick oil change before my trip up north. Anyways long story short, one of the guys there said that my car is good to go and ready. When I got home, I smelled something burning, popped my hood and saw smoke coming out of my hood. Opened my hood to see a small fire near the engine. I panicked but put out the fire as fast as I could. Never had this happened before but they left a rag near my engine that caught fire. I went back to talk to the manager, should of asked for a refund for the service but settled for a free oil change, but honestly I won't be using Jiffy Lube services again. A mechanic should always be sure to check and double, triple check if anything was left behind because people trust you to do a well job at of the services you provide. If you want to gain loyal customers, the little things like this and making sure you do an excellent job is what gets customers to keep coming back. This is the first and last time I will be going to a Jiffy Lube. And if anyone does get their oil change here, inspect your car or ask if you can watch them do their work instead of staying inside the waiting area.

Most recommended oil change auto shop in San Marcos. Time is money, and the guys here are so fast and quick that you will save money. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I couldn't believe how fast they were.

I brought my car in for an oil change and was approached by an employee. I believe her name was Alexis and right away she was on it and got me out of there pretty quick. They were really nice and even funny at times. The environment was a joy and the service was great.
