J.C. Used & New Tires Introduce

Located at 101 N Broadway St in Johnson City, Tennessee, J.C. Used & New Tires operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, suggesting that it provides tires and related services for vehicles. Unlike some auto parts stores that offer a broad range of components, J.C. Used & New Tires appears to specialize primarily in the sale of both used and new tires. The environment of the store is not described in the provided information, but one might expect a typical tire shop setting with racks of tires and service bays for installation.

The core service of J.C. Used & New Tires is the sale of tires, encompassing both used and new options. This dual offering can potentially cater to a wider range of customers with varying budgetary constraints. Used tires can be a more affordable option for those looking for temporary replacements or budget-friendly solutions. However, the quality and condition of used tires can vary significantly, making thorough inspection and transparent information crucial. The sale of new tires provides customers with the assurance of unused products that should meet safety standards and offer a longer lifespan.

Based on the available customer reviews, there are significant and concerning issues raised regarding the business practices, product quality, and customer service at J.C. Used & New Tires. One customer recounted a distressing experience where a front tire purchased from the store led to a flat and breakdown shortly after leaving the premises. This customer also reported feeling poorly treated and expressed frustration at the impracticality of returning a flat tire before obtaining a replacement. This incident raises serious questions about the quality control and safety of the tires being sold.

Multiple reviews paint a picture of alleged deceptive practices and a disregard for customer safety. One reviewer labeled the business as "absolute scam artists" and accused them of selling tires manufactured as far back as 2008. This is a critical concern, as tires degrade over time due to factors like UV exposure and oxidation, regardless of whether they have been driven on. Industry standards and vehicle inspection guidelines often have limitations on the age of tires that are considered safe for use. The same reviewer claimed that a mechanic at the shop had previously indicated that tires older than five years would not pass inspection in Virginia. This discrepancy between internal knowledge and alleged sales practices is deeply troubling.

Furthermore, the same reviewer stated that many of the tires at J.C. Used & New Tires are "dry rotted," a condition that compromises the structural integrity of the tire and can lead to failure. They alleged that this dry rot is often not immediately apparent and can only be detected by physically inspecting the tire wall. The reviewer explicitly accused the owners of prioritizing profit over the safety of their customers, including those simply seeking a safe tire for commuting their families.

Another customer echoed the safety concerns, advising others to "never go here if you value your safety." This reviewer described returning a tire that was claimed to be new and having to point out significant dry rot before a replacement was offered. They corroborated the description of an older, overweight, and rude gentleman, presumably the owner or manager, further highlighting issues with customer service. This individual's motivation for writing the review was explicitly stated as a concern for the safety of the community, alleging a lack of care from the owners regarding customer well-being.

The collective feedback from these reviews paints a very negative picture of J.C. Used & New Tires. The allegations include the sale of old and potentially unsafe tires, deceptive practices regarding the condition of tires (claiming used tires as new, for example), and extremely poor customer service characterized by rudeness and dismissiveness. These are serious accusations that should give potential customers significant pause.

Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available reviews, it is impossible to objectively present any positive features or promotional information for J.C. Used & New Tires based solely on this data. The strong emphasis on safety risks and unethical business practices overshadows any potential benefits of purchasing used or new tires from this establishment. The recurring themes of selling old, dry-rotted tires and the dismissive treatment of customers raise significant red flags for anyone considering using their services.

In conclusion, based on the provided customer reviews, J.C. Used & New Tires in Johnson City, TN, operating within the "Auto Repair Stations" category, appears to be a business with significant issues related to product quality, safety, and customer service. Multiple reviewers allege the sale of old, potentially dangerous tires, including those with dry rot, and describe rude and dismissive treatment from the management. The experiences recounted raise serious concerns about the safety of purchasing tires from this establishment. Potential customers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and consider these reviews carefully before deciding to patronize J.C. Used & New Tires. The feedback suggests a potential risk to safety and a lack of concern for customer well-being. No positive features or promotions can be objectively identified from the provided information.

Absolute scam artists! First and foremost, the gentleman who is in charge of this operation is incredibly rude and downright dismissive. Each and every tire has a date of manufacture on the tire wall, which is something that most people do not know. This business is pushing out tires that were made in 2008. The main mechanic Had relayed that he used to be A vehicle inspector, in Virginia, and they would not pass anything older than five years. Not only that, but most of their tires are dry rotted, which you can only tell by pushing the wall of the tire. The owners do not care about the safety of others, they do not care if somebody is just trying to get a safe tire to commute themselves and their family around Do not ever go here If you value your safety. I went back to return one of the tires that he claimed to be new, and not until I made him meticulously look at the dry rot to put a replacement on. I do not know the gentleman name, but he is older, overweight, and incredibly rude. I am writing this review for the safety of the community, That the Owners do not care about. If you want to stay safe on the road, just spend a little more money and get a new Tire. This was my experience, and I’ve been meaning to leave her of you for months, but better later than never. This operation should be shut down.

Do not go here, I bought 4 tires for $200 and the ones they put on were terrible. I went to the shop and demanded more or to give my old tires back. They are not worried about good business

If I could give this guy zero Stars I totally would. Never again will he ever get my business. And Lord knows don't tell him you're single because if you're a female he will try to give you his number. He makes me feel very uncomfortable. And not to mention the last used tire that I bought from him was no good and a couple days later when I went back and said something to him he shrugged his shoulders. Just a bad business person and unprofessional

Took my car here to get two tires they forgot to balance them so he let me leave with unbalanced tires which damaged my car. I had to go to another shop to have it balanced and damaged repaired. When I called the owner of jc tires to let him know what had happened he simply laughed said he has been sued before and didnt care big deal. Never offered another solution or help with damages caused by him.Dont go here you will regret it trust me I did. I was trying to be cheap until pay day and get some used ones and not go buy new tires which wasnt much difference now that I come to think of it.Hard lesson learned stay away from there unless you want broken lugs, damage from incorrect jack placement and tires not being balanced.
