Ingram Machines

Ingram Machine is the worst machine shop my shop has ever done business with. Took a block and head over there for a Case 580 back hoe to be redone. They did not work on it for months. We kept getting the run around when calling to check on the status. They ended up keeping it for almost a year before we finally got it back, then they still charged us top dollar. My shop did not get around to reassembling the engine until several months later due to other projects. When we started going through the boxes of parts they sent it back in, we discovered that we were missing 3 main bearing caps. We know they had them because the 2 we have are marked on by the machinist. Whenever we called Ingram about this, they denied ever having them and refused to take responsibility. Now we are $10,000 into a rebuild and have nothing but a giant paper weight as you cannot find parts for this machine anymore. Ingram Machine shop is disorganized, unethical, slow and non-professinal. I do not recommend anyone do business with this shop, especially if you have something that you cannot find replacement parts for, because they will loose your critical parts and then not take responsibility.

Took my wife's SUV engine (block & head) by to be machined and short block assembled. David Ingram said "no problem". One month later, called to get update and was told parts were hard to find (this was a Chevrolet engine), but he thought they'd be in "in two weeks". Went another month without any word, so I called back. Was told "yeah, it's close, about two weeks to go". Waited another month, same story. This continued on for a total of 5 months! I tried several times to speak with David to inquire on the status, but was told by someone on the phone that he was unavailable or at lunch--every time I called. If they didn't have time or didn't want to do the work since I wasn't a professional mechanic or "big business", I wish they would have respected me enough and had the decency to tell me instead of leading me on for 5 months. Do NOT do business with this company, apparently they are comfortable enough to not bother with the "little man".

i recently started a project, swapping my 1974 nova custom from an auto transmission to a manual. i ran into a problem with retainer bearing size and needed a part machined down to size. i took it to jack ingram at ingrams machines and he did the job. it was done by the time he said, for the price he said, and the part fit great, you cant ask for more than that. jack is a honest guy that does good work. by Ruben Bailey.

Have had good work done before by David but definitely takes his time due dates run weeks over. Well definitely take my bussiness elsewhere

Great job, fast turnaround on a flywheel resurfacing and a pilot bearing bushing , definitely recommend 👍
