Honey's Service Station & Tire Introduce

Located at 175 Ullin Ave, Ullin, IL 62992, USA, Honey's Service Station & Tire operates as an "Auto Repair Station" that particularly specializes in tire sales and services, while also offering general automotive repairs. Serving the Ullin community and surrounding areas, this establishment aims to be a convenient stop for vehicle owners seeking maintenance and tire solutions. The provided customer reviews paint a mixed picture, highlighting both strengths in service speed and pricing, alongside significant concerns regarding tire quality and customer resolution for a specific individual.

Environment and Facilities:

As a service station and tire shop, Honey's would typically feature a functional and practical environment designed for automotive work. You can expect multiple service bays, lifts, and equipment for tire mounting, balancing, and general auto repairs. While the ambiance is likely geared towards efficiency rather than luxury, a general auto repair station aims to maintain an organized workspace to facilitate prompt service. The mention of "burgers" in one external search result suggests that, in addition to automotive services, there might be an integrated or adjacent food service component, offering a unique convenience to customers. This could mean a more integrated "service station" feel, where you can grab a bite while your vehicle is attended to. The operating hours, typically Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, indicate a standard workday schedule for an auto repair business.

Comprehensive Services Offered:

Honey's Service Station & Tire provides a range of services typical of an "Auto Repair Station" with a strong emphasis on tires. These services commonly include:

  • Tire Sales: Offering various brands, including Firestone and Roadmaster (as mentioned in reviews), for different vehicle types, including passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs, and commercial vehicles. They are noted for having "good prices on tires."
  • Tire Installation and Mounting: Professional installation of new tires, including mounting, balancing, and potentially rubber valve stems and tire disposal as part of an all-inclusive package.
  • Tire Balancing: Essential for a smooth ride and even tire wear, balancing helps prevent vibrations. However, one customer review indicates persistent balancing issues with tires purchased here, despite multiple attempts to rectify.
  • Tire Repair: Addressing punctures and leaks efficiently, a common service for any tire shop.
  • Tire Rotation: Promoting even tire wear and extending tire life.
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Reset: As part of tire installation, they would typically reset the TPMS, though new kits or sensors might be extra.
  • Oil Changes: A fundamental routine maintenance service to keep engines running smoothly.
  • General Auto Repair: While tires are a specialty, as a "Service Station & Tire," they would likely offer other common auto repair services, such as brake inspections and repairs, fluid checks, and general vehicle maintenance to keep vehicles roadworthy.
  • 24/7 Roadside Assistance: Some affiliations (e.g., SimpleTire) may offer this with tire installation, providing an added layer of security for customers.

Key Features and Strengths:

Analyzing the provided customer reviews reveals both strong points and areas that have caused concern for specific customers:

  • Quick Service: One positive review highlights "Great service! Quick and good prices on tires. Thank you Honeys!" This indicates efficiency and a commitment to getting customers back on the road promptly.
  • Competitive Tire Pricing: The same review mentions "good prices on tires," suggesting that Honey's offers competitive rates on their tire products.
  • General Positive Feedback (from one review): The "Great service!" feedback suggests that for some customers, the experience has been satisfactory, aligning with the expected promptness and fair pricing.

However, a significant concern arises from the negative review regarding tire quality and customer resolution:

  • Product Quality Issues: A customer reported purchasing multiple sets of "bad steer tires" from the shop, experiencing persistent bouncing and shaking despite extensive front-end work on their truck. This suggests potential issues with the quality control of the tire products they are sourcing, or with their balancing/installation procedures for certain heavy-duty applications.
  • Customer Service for Issue Resolution: The negative review highlights a severe breakdown in customer service when trying to resolve a persistent problem. The customer states, "he won't even bother to make it right," and expresses feeling that their $1300 investment was "worthless," indicating a lack of accountability or willingness to address long-standing issues effectively for that particular customer.
  • Perceived Unfriendliness: The customer also noted, "Plus they are not friendly at all while your there," which contradicts the "Great service!" review and suggests an inconsistency in customer interaction, at least when issues arise.

This mixed feedback indicates that while Honey's might excel in quick, straightforward services and pricing for some, complex or recurring issues, particularly related to product quality, could lead to significant customer dissatisfaction.

Promotional Information and Customer Engagement:

Honey's Service Station & Tire's promotional efforts and customer engagement would typically include:

  • Competitive Pricing: Their reputation for "good prices on tires" would be a key draw, appealing to budget-conscious customers.
  • Direct Contact: The primary method of engagement is through their phone number, (618) 845-3610 or +1 618-845-3610, allowing customers to call for quotes, appointments, or inquiries.
  • Local Presence: Being located at 175 Ullin Ave in Ullin, IL, makes them easily accessible to local residents and potentially those traveling through.
  • Online Listings: Their presence on various online directories (like SimpleTire, Firestone, Waze) helps customers find their location, hours, and basic service information.
  • Focus on Speed: Promoting "quick" service would attract customers looking for fast turnarounds on their vehicle needs.
  • Partnerships with Tire Brands: Being a dealer for brands like Firestone and potentially Roadmaster allows them to promote a range of tire options.

For potential customers in Ullin, IL, Honey's Service Station & Tire offers a convenient option for tire purchases and installation, and general auto services, often at competitive prices with quick service. However, customers with complex or persistent issues, especially concerning specific tire brands or problems that require extensive troubleshooting and warranty claims, might need to exercise caution based on the mixed feedback received.

Honey's Service Station & Tire Customer Reviews

I bought a set of road master steer tires 4 weeks before season was over last year and ran for a week and Still had bouncing and shaking going on. Had them spent at vernells and they said bad steer tires. I took the tires back and he did replaced them once and i upgraded to firestones and come to find out another bad steer tire I'd only ran maybe 5weeks total ..2 weeks of the end of season last year maybe 3 this year and still bouncing and I had the whole front end done. Tie rod ends king pins etc still shaking and bouncing... 2 weeks into this years season I have vernells spend them again thinking no way these Firestone would be the problem and YES IT WAS to be bad STEERS again. 4 to 5 weeks total running on them and still look BRAND NEW and he won't even bother to make it right. Truck set 4 months during winter since I'm a seasonal driver..... 1300 dollars worthless. I do believethat what I ended up spending in total amd no honor.... wow. Plus they are not friendly at all while your there.... if anyone goes here I pray you have better luck then I did.... he must be getting them from a bad dealer or flawed tire warehouse... sad the money and 2 times in a row of bad tires ...WILL NOT GO BACK!

Excellent service. I stopped in for a non-tire related issue and ended up buying tires. Not because they sold me on new tires either, I needed new tires. Best price I couldn't have gotten a better price of I had searched online all week. Plus a name brand all 4 mounted & balanced with a rebate and a few cooler for less than $1000.⁰⁰! I'm impressed, specially in this economy.

Best place in Southern Illinois to get new tires.

I have lived in big cities across America, and this was the best experience I have gotten in terms of value, price, service and friendliness anywhere! The only thing I would suggest is to work on the air conditioner in the waiting area, as it was over 80 degrees inside and I stuck to the seat. That part was not pleasant, but I would do it again because the other parts were so good.
